- Here is the full interview with Brett Ambler, also known as the Kazoo Kid. This interview took place at the VB Chocolate Bar in Cottleville, Missouri on Sept. 5, 2016.
Ambler is the star of the Special Friends series of children's instructional videos, which include "You on Kazoo" (1989), "Let's Sing Along," (1990), and "Ring Along, Sing Along," (1991).
He has also done voice narration for the children's instructional video "Let's Draw" (1991), " the companion audio cassette tape for the book "Jesse Bear, What Will you Wear" (1993), and the VHS version of the book "The Cat in the Hat" (1994).
In his adult life, he performed as Buddy Holly in the stage play "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story" at the Boulder's Dinner Theatre Stage in Boulder, Colorado, where his talents in vocals and guitar helped bring the 1950's rock legend to life.
Ambler was rediscovered on the Internet when Aaron Valdez of DeadVCR ( / deadvcr ) posted a three-minute edited segment of "You on Kazoo," on RUclips on Aug. 25, 2014, which has gained 7.2 million views as of Sept. 13, 2016. He then posted the full version on Jan. 23, 2016, which has gained over 3 million views.
The energetic and musically talented Kazoo Kid inspired Mike Diva ( / mikediva ) to post a trap remix of "You on Kazoo" on RUclips on Feb. 2, 2016. It quickly went viral and has gained over 14 million views as of Sept. 13, 2016.
With both Valdez's and Diva's videos surging in popularity, it didn't take long for the people to start looking for Ambler himself, which they found on Twitter (@brettambler). He now 13.8 thousand followers on his Twitter account and growing.

How did Brett not become super famous once he aged? For a little kid, he seemed like a natural born actor. So comfortable in front of the camera. He took a lame instrument and successfully turned it into something watchable. He had me sold on kazoos and I always totally hated them. He could have easily done dozens of commercials and would have helped companies sell lots of products.
