I'm here for the kitty purr test.
Amazing review!
By the way, check it out the Boya BY-DM500. It's a solid mic too.
Since Blue is slacking....6:34 is the KPT for those that care
I don't hate the mic and I can see some practical use for the colored bands (eg keeping which mic goes with what gain knob straight) but I feel that for $170 you can do better in a dynamic these days, especially if you're willing to go handheld
Yeah! Brother Bark and Brother Bronson together on a podcast?
All we need is a guest episode with angry uncle Aiden Wolf and we're golden.
Thought this one and the Donner were equally pleasing but the big takeaway was the “yeesh” sound I made and the unpleasant face I had (some would argue permanently) when I heard the PD70. Yikes. Seems to get worse the more I hear it. But great video, as usual!
Side note on the Donner: Was excited to give it a shot but it was DOA. Had to send it back.
what is the name of the XLR corner cable connected to the TC-Helicon GoXLR ?
can you reviewed maono dm30?
I think it sounds pretty good (maybe the best in the comparison, and I own the PD-70), but the coloured bands do nothing for me (feels like a toy). The fact that the GoXLR does not do Blue's purring justice means it's a no buy for me!
Manayo preamp review
I feel like the first time I heard this mic from another review, I think they got a lemon because the Podmic blew it out of the water. Hearing this one, it's still rather sibilant for my ears and a bit too mid forward, but not dramatically so. If anything, it sold me more on the PO-8 (Donner really has a winner with that one). I'd can't recommend it either. I'd say either spend down to the PO-8 and also ok put the difference towards the interface or mount of your choice, or spend the extra $20ish and go Rode Procaster which is now sitting very well in the $170 range
Hello Hello (from Bordeaux, France) I love your channel and your microphone tests (especially the quality models), but in the long run - for those who found their happiness following your advice - it could be interesting that you propose some content on sound processing. For example, examples of how to process audio for voice over, for streaming, examples of settings on interfaces such as Rodecaster, Tascam, Zoom, DBX 286, Behringer UV1 etc. ... In short, not only a series of tests of microphones, but the recipes for success to use them and obtain quality results!
What do you think about it ?
I actually do have some videos that I am currently working on that are similar to this idea. I kind of overwhelmed myself with mics for a long time but now I am finally coming up on no more mics that I HAVE to review so I will have more time for tutorial and help related videos.
@@AudioHotline Excellent! Thanks for your answer. I have to admit, whatever microphones are tested - be it by you or by other specialized reviewers - the audio result is most of the time excellent, so, it's this experience, these magic recipes that interest me (and probably other). I'm crossing my fingers that you don't secretly use expensive top hardware to achieve this!!
10 moods in a snap! 😉
It may actually be the 2nd best sound (donner #1)... But it's $160...which is too much for the sound. Great vid!
That didn't help I liked 6.
I came for the podmic, goxlr and mv7 😂
