Alright, im still impress from the 1st episode. I can't believe i learn more from futur academy than my uni. Honestly you guys boost my creativity and knowledge in how i can treat my design better like a cat wanting a belly rub.
UGH this is so good. Please do more case study/breakdowns/critiques of graphic design elements. This is *exponentially* more valuable than theory; I feel like I'm getting real world experience from watching a short video. Doubling down on content like this is going to put design colleges out of business!
Always respected Chris' words... but the last video and this one: MAD respect for Minhye's work! It's not just her innate skills as a designer... it's more inspiring to see how well she's able to absorb and reflect on the critique.
Starting to feel like a stalker watching 3-6hrs of The Futur, Mr. Do and Mr. Burns 3x a week. Soooo much info. This is great to see what I haven’t picked up through self teaching. Can’t believe I missed this for so long… Thanks and keep it up!
I love these videos! I am learning so much more than I can express in a comment. Sometimes it is incredibly humbling to watch these videos and see how much I have to learn. All I want to do right now is to change the design of already shipped products. Lessons learned! Thank you to Chris Do and The Futur for producing these videos.
beautiful evolution, Min! I've had it with classes. 😭 what a waste of money when you're videos are more meaningful. I would rather support you. thank you! back to my final projects aka why I'm watching. 💓🤩 So good to hear "why" and to watch you hold your criticisms as you came back to review Min's design.
Wow this is an amazing series, i love it! It's amazing to see how chris breaks down the layout and give feedback and how minhye is able to consolidate and absorbed that and together, the end product is so amazing!! This series really piqued my interest in editorial design and typography. Thank you for producing the videos, and I'm excited to follow your account for more ❤
you know why the previous part was so many views , although new designer like me they grasp almost every other design Technic/rules but when its come to typography we all know their are more learn so ,especially the typographic layout. so please give us some more Typographic mainly layout typographic knowledge .
Hi there, I love the way you analyse and explain the layout theory, combined with this example. Very crisp and clear, brought me a to lot of new ideas for my own work.
Chris is an excellent leader who provides constructive criticism to his staff in a non-threatening way. Also, he asks them if they are capable of meeting a specific deadline giving them an opportunity to negotiate. He should also teach leadership for creative teams.
Great video, great work Min! It was nice to see how you guys work on typography in a newspaper design. I would ask if you can make a video about typography in logo design, how to marry a symbol with a text, how do you choose the type, what criteria it must meet, etc... Keep up the great work Chris and the team, i learned a lot of things from you and i still learn, i have a weekly schedule plan for The Futur especially 😊 Thanks a lot! 🙏👍🙂
Agreed! I really enjoy these process/critiques that show us the WHYs behind the use of elements and how that can strengthen our designs. I find a lot of value from these types of videos in particular. Thanks!
Oh my! You guys are the coolest and have an amazing high quality content. Learning from you sense lasta year Really prepared me for design school. I really love you and the futur. Saludos desde Chile.
Great episodes! Chris it would be nice when you explain the details, to see closer look at it. I mean that while recording the screen from distance it is pretty hard to see it 😂 although love those typography tips!
Could u guys add how long did u gave designers to work with projects in the intro? I think it is a more direct way to compare ourselves with pros on the way of being professional.
It's great to watch the art direction as well as seeing Min's editorial design process! I'm wondering if there is any concern for accessibility? The weights and contrast, especially with the yellow, would make reading difficult for those with some visual loss. I know graphic design assumes a sense of sight but folks with some visual issues still may be interested in design. It may also be useful to make sure it can be read by personal reading devices like the OrCam or scan-to-text programs. My eyesight is just fine and I still find white/yellow combinations tricky. Thanks for the great videos!
The overall color and tone of the previous tutorial video is better. This one looks kind of gloomy~ But still, these series of tutorials are really awesome and helpful! And they're more educational than what I learned in design school...
i remember seeing this video on the main channel previously when i got to the Futur, just now i'm thinking, did the Magazine get published ? would love to know more about it!
Great video Chris, thanks so much. Just one question, does Min export RGB proofs from indesign? Those colours looked crazy bright. We are alwasy torn at which point to show CMYK proofs to clients, which are obviously more realistic for print but are never as pleasing. Never want the RGB party to end, but then showing RGB examples to clients misleads them somewhat. Thoughts?
Hello, thanks for the class! I was wondering if you guys could create a course for video editing with audio, camera angles, animation with figures, texts, photos
Is it a good idea and is it practical so many text to be in blue or diferent color than black? Because i like it that way and when the text is blue is more modern and interesting for me, but in univercity my teacher told me once that when I use diferent color for text other than black is difficult to read.
Great video but I'm wondering who would say that mockups are cheating? Those people shouldn't be working in a business because clearly, saving/ making money isn't a priority for them
20 min video, better than a month in class. Thank you futur ♥

She’s amazing.
Great content as always. Minhye is a very talented designer.
She is.
And here I am gaining tons of knowledge for free which would cost thousands in universities. Thank you for great videos.

Repost, saw this a few months ago on the official channel, but still great value.
Thanks. We're focusing this channel more on design and creative fundamentals. You might be seeing a few more vids being transferred over here.
So good. I relate to Min's process. And really appreciate Chris' critique

Hey your videos are really inspirational, thanks for the advices.
I learned a lot. Thank you futur.
Very interesting to watch :)

Legend has it that Paul Rand himself designed using Min's mouse
Haha
Just discovered you, happy to be the 100.000 person subscribed to your channel!

The typography for the body text is beautiful! How'd she do it??
This is so inspiring
❤️❤️❤️❤️ can we have a part 3 please
In the works.

Btw your and min's interaction is really funny
These videos are really great. Please keep them coming.
Also, wow, Min is really good! Where can we follow her in social media?
She doesn’t do social media.
@@TheFuturAcademy that's unlucky. Thanks for the reply. Loved the video.
i remember seeing this video on the main channel previously when i got to the Futur, just now i'm thinking, did the Magazine get published ? would love to know more about it!
Hasn't been published. It's a back burner project right now, since we have so much going on.

We only use cmyk when going to print.
fantastic work done by her but the one question kik in my mind, that why you are not using ur branding color (blue) instead of using yellow color !!!!
Yellow is a secondary color for the brand.
*breaks phone screen while tapping on notifications*
Haha 😂
First, for the 1st time ever.
Hello, thanks for the class! I was wondering if you guys could create a course for video editing with audio, camera angles, animation with figures, texts, photos
got the impression that he is a wonderful boss, i mean leader...
What does visual interest mean exactly?
Did this ever get made? I would love a physicals copy
i was so confused at the definition of "Gestalt", as a german :D

it's a matter of managing contrast.
Do you allow your designer’s to explain their thinking on why they created such layout?
Hi guys criss hiera here
Do u have published any magazine?
12:45 Text in Yellow box looks like it needs some space to breathe. It's all crammed up.
*hard to read yellow on white*
lol Min is like who dis
Hey Grace Guy I v seen you in Dribble’s IG Page
Great video but I'm wondering who would say that mockups are cheating? Those people shouldn't be working in a business because clearly, saving/ making money isn't a priority for them

I detect someone with a real ego problem.
