That was really nice of Ben to let Jason borrow his tractor. These guys are true friends and genuine.
This program is by far the BEST program on You Tube! Keep it up guys.
Wow, thanks!
100% voting they are the best
These three gentlemen are my top 3 homesteading channels I watch!! I look forward to watch each episode of Al every week along with Ben ..Jason again buddy I’m catching up I swear lol 😂 but I’ve learned so much with all three men and their families on how providing from your land and building and putzing around the homestead 👍🇨🇦
Glad you like them!
Me too.
Awesome podcast, you guy`s just keep getting better and better.
Oh Jason - you're so precious!
❤❤❤
"I had a dream"
😂 Jason's dreams are the only dreams I look forward to hearing. He is such a pure soul. I started laughing when he said, i had a dream.
I love listening to your podcast.
Ben it was nice of you to lend Jason your tractor. Have a great week.
@caryhrea3974 ~ I started laughing, too, as soon as Jason said, "I had a dream"
True that 😂
I was near roflmao when he kept going on 'bout the hams bein' thrown at him...in Italy...on stage...🍖🎻🍖🍖👍👀
I totally agree with that description of Jason--I have been trying to put my finger on what it is that is so likable and trustable about him, as I watch his videos. He's faced a horrendous disease and learned from it. I love all 3 of these guys, and their videos I watch more than anything else except Roots and Refuge, which is where I started.
Jason that Dream 😁😄😁😄
I love listening to these podcasts it is like sitting at the old man's table for coffee at the local Restaurant. Keep up the good work Guys, I also watch every episode of each of your individual podcasts. I guess I am addicted
Thanks for listening
I had a diner for 24 years and had an “old mans table” of seven everyday regulars. Ranchers, farmers, welders. As some old timers went to meet the Lord, they were replaced with new old timers. They had to pass muster of course. 😂. I closed it 17 years ago and the last regular old timer passed three years ago. Many people, including me, learned much about ranching and farming. My little town had 525 population in 1984.
Love the bro talk. Just three dudes/dads talking about their week on topics I love. Doesn't get much better.
Good morning, Al, Ben, and Jason!
Love, love the podcast! No matter what you guys talk about, it's interesting and fun!!
Hello to the 3 Amigos! I get a good laugh every show. Thank you Jason for editing and putting this podcast together
You guys are always so fun and informative and REAL. Haven't missed an episode.
Jason’s dreams 🤣
Looking forward to seeing Al’s cool room go together too.
We’ve had all the locals telling us about those woolys too. This is our first winter in East Tennessee but seems pretty mild to me.
Morning fellas
❤
HAPPY TGIF Guys 🎉💜✌🏽
Yesterday was the first sunny 55*day of this year in Caldwell Idaho. Outside I went to make the work list for 2024. It was great!
Men like you and your families make America great with the principles we were built on. You three have such an easy rapport with each other and the discussions are great. I am so glad you put this together.
I am an elderly lady who will likely never grow anything except a few tomatoes and flowers but really love watching the three of you discuss farm life.
I love your content and never miss an episode. Jason, keep those dreams coming. 🥰🤣
Jason your hilarious 😅😅
The way Ben talked about Advantak reminded me of how everyone used to talk about asbestos 😮😮😮
Yes, I'm that old😢😢😢😢
Me too! 😅
Work is always coming 😊
It's High praise 😅
It's good for this old soul to see each of you guys every week! There's much wisdom along with humor. Very helpful .... I always look forward to each podcast.
Jason - check out Arms Family Homestead for the tractors & supplies - he's pretty knowledgable on tractors & tractor supplies.
Love you guys have great week you are so entertaining.
Greetings from Barbados 🇧🇧
Love the new addition both Al (new barn ) and Ben (new addition to the house) Jason however I need to catch up on lol sorry Jason 😂 you guys keep doing what y’all do best 👍
Sow the Land, is my favorite channel of all time. Love Jason! A pure soul. Love his love of the family, land, his animals and his commitment to pure living! Watch all your channels and have learned quite a few things from Meg. Her nonchalant attitude towards homesteading is cool! While Al would truly go crazy if he didn’t have something to build. 😂 Love Jason’s dreams 😂. It always has a message.
Really enjoy shop talk. You guys are the best. Thanks
Hope you guys have an awesome week also! As usual, a great podcast!
Jason, I was glad to see you! I have been worried not seeing your video's, thank you for updating me and letting us know you are behind in editing. I watch all three podcast and learn from each of you.
AL, your cooler you bought isn't big enough, but... it's already in pieces, and, you are already planning to make it "not a metal box" I take that as you are going to cover it, face it, or build a structure around it. So take this opportunity to make it bigger, and taller! It would be fairly easy to do. You have the reputation of thinking outside of the box, and with your skills, I am sure you can come up with a plan to make this, "what it ain't" The main part of what you bought, is the door. So build around that. You have the metal break, you can measure, and buy a home spray foam kit and fill in the gaps.
As far as building to be mobile, I'd slap a couple axles under it, and build it like a trailer. Put some fold up trailer jacks under each of the four corners. so you can level it no matter where you have it sitting.
As far as a tractor goes, the most versatile thing to own is a skid steer, just better/stronger for all of these add on implements.
Thank you N.C. for sharing your weather with MICHIGAN 48° Sunny Tues 62.
YOU'RE THE ONLY PODCAST I WATCH.
I LOVE TO SEE YOUR VLOGS AND NATURAL
LIFES🎉❤. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.. SE MICHIGAN PRAYING WITH YOU IN JESUS'S
NAME AMEN.❤🙏🀄
Hi guys hope you have a great weekend.
Yep, I am in MN and I feel like winter is not only done, but feel like it never really got here to stay.....it has been so mild like no other year I have ever experienced
Same here SE MICHIGAN
Country view acres did two videos 1 or 2 weeks ago in which he used a tree/pole puler on his tractor to clear an overgrown fenceline and that worked like a charm (including pulling brush etc).
genuinely favorite session from three great guys who magnify when together.
Thanks guys!
The Three Amigos strike again! You guys do a great job just talking and sharing ideas. It is so enjoyable listening to you. Love the beards. Thanks.🌹❤️NJ
Great dream Jason 😂👍👍
❤ love these videos.
So glad!
Boys this old girl has laughed so much tonight. This has been a fun hour. Thank you for being REAL. Loved every minute. #PressOnRegardless.
Thanks guys for video, love hearing about your week. Keep videos coming , great job.
Thanks, you too!
Broken record, Jason, YOU NEED A TRACTOR! 😂😂😂😂
Please send one, he'll appreciate it!
Sean the Modern Yeoman has his two turkeys (full grown ones) in with his laying hens and they are free ranging together. He goy the turkeys from 2 Turtles Homestead in Tennessee. They are a mating pair and absolutely gorgeous Tom. So nice that Ben lives close to you Jason...being able to borrow things back and forth is a real blessing. Al I am so happy you have a cool room to put together. That will be another interesting build. Thanks y'all for taking time from your busy schedules to put these podcasts together. They are getting better and better with each one. Y'all have a Blessed day.
Jason you have a great imagination, that’s why you have unique dreams… lol ..
You guys are an awesome team!! Look forward to watching every Friday!!!
Menard’s is in Michigan too.
Ben, your idea on laying pipe works great behind a subsoiler. Some are even made with an attachment point on them to add an adapter for the spool. We are going to use our subsoiler to bury our water lines soon.
Oh, I wanted to say that I have a friend that has chickens, and they are in production big-time. She brought me two dozen of beautiful eggs. I almost look like Easter eggs all colors and I didn’t pay a thing because we kind of bartered. I gave her some of my para preserves, pear, jelly and she said we’re good so in two weeks I’ll get two more dozen but this time I’ll pay her.🐓🥚🍐🍐
Great podcast guys! I enjoy all your videos too!
Glad you enjoy it!
Outstanding !
FYI: Menards is a Wisconsin based company that does a really good job providing for the trades guys. Building supplies, breakfast cereal, cleaning and auto stuff... and their 11% rebate.
My guess is coming to a community near you.
You guys are so loved so please don't stop. ❤
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 YOUR DREAMS ARE HILLARIOUS JASON!!! I LOVE WATCHING THIS VIDEO EVERYWEEK WITH YOU GUYS, MAKES ME LAUGH.
Georgia Pacific is out of Canada. Use it a lot, building anything really. I know what Ben is talking about when he mentioned, Menards. That's all we use for lumber in the Midwest.
Ben you and the boys did a great job. It seemed to go pretty fast. I think you said the foundation is the most important part and I think you’ve done a really good job!
Great podcast, guys! Three down to earth farmers talking about everyday life on the farm. Thank you.
another great podcast:) have a wonderful weekend.
No!!! Don't end it there!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
We are in Michigan and shop Menards over Lowes or Home Depot. Better prices and selections on most everything.
great dealers AL cant beat that really and having spares and understanding the system makes great sense.
Jason , the dream you had is probably because you were talking about traveling to the speaking engagement, and talking about bringing a cooler on the airplane.
Jason, your dreams make me laugh out loud, and I do mean loud! I've come to look forward to you telling all of us about them.
Ben, you'll have to let us know if the Ga-Pacific brand is as good as the brand you usually get. The video you and Meg did quite a while ago convinced me to become a Butcher Box member after hearing about them for years. I have visions of you cutting a strip off the Ga-Pacific and leaving it out in the weather for a year or two, to test it.
I learn so much just listening to you three talk. I finally bought a Leatherman after one of your podcasts, but I have no idea what I'll use it for.
Menards is based out of EauClaire Wi. And generally is in surrounding states. It is by far cheaper than Home Depot or Lowe’s. I am within 30 min of all three.
Man what y’all do on your week makes us city people look goofy.
lol
So I had to change out my mailbox post because the other one had rotten been here like I said on my life so we put a new post. I took the mailbox off painted it wide again to make it nice add a metal flower rack to it so I can put some flower pots on there and I painted it purple I like color so we put it back and we moved it from where it was. The camera wasn’t picking up the mailbox and I do get prescription drugs from my father-in-law and I worry about someone stealing them so we move the post to view of the ring camera and I like it and my kids thought it was cute and my kids came by and saw it. They were surprised that we didn’t ask for help And my husband being sick it was a work out for him but we did it and it’s done and I’m already starting so I’m gonna put some cute flowers in there by seed
And then we just been doing garden work I mean we move things around yesterday and plan my potato seed and put a big bunch of carrots on and they’re beautiful so my daughter-in-law before eating and is going to use it in a photo shoot with the baby 🥕🥕🥕
Today I will seat some herbs and maybe some few flowers and I want to put more flowers more pollinators for vegetables to come and things like that so I’ll be working on that today tomorrow and Sunday all weekend is slow pace. I love to be outdoors when the weather is beautiful like this, we don’t have any rain coming anytime soon .🌱🌱🥕🥕🌸🌸
I prayed for you and your husband and family to be healed in JESUS'S NAME AMEN.
YOUR MAILBOX SOUND LOVELY. I LOVE PURPLE TOO. BY🌹🥀🌻👏🎉🛐
You are all on the same wavelength, but in very different circumstances. great chat.💕💕🌻🌻
Good job on the barn Al & Gina!
We have several Menards. You can all your building needs and milk, eggs, and basic groceries. Oh, and furniture.
@laurelcanterbury5370 ~ That does it! As soon as I finish their podcast, I'm going to see if Menard's ships to GA.
@laurelcanterbury5370 ~ They do! I created an account and ordered two shirts and some lounge pants, all on sale! I'm waiting now for them to arrive. What a store, though! They have everything!!
I have a little gardening book and the farmers say... go on vacation in March... because you are tempted to plant and it will getcha!
Jason gets sunburn while Al gets wind/cold burn lol hugssssss
I just enjoy watching all 3 of your channels and all 3 of you together on the podcast. I laugh a lot with you. So much fun!
Good podcast. Not too long and not boring this time!
Jason, A Drafter's last words, "It looked good on paper!" LOL, I wanted to share that since you and I both have a CAD background. 🤣🤣🤣
Sweet dreams Jason!
dear Ben you can dig that cooler into the ground and make for your cold storage. So potatoes don't spoil in the kitchen. At least for short term.
Our squirrels don't have very bushy tails ,so a mild winter..NW Oklahoma. Closets Lowes, Home Depot is 149 miles! We have to buy from local businesses.. twice the price in some cases.
Our TSC has chickens, ducks in already..
I’m sure the tractor would help getting the fence polls “out to the fence line” if you had the forks on.. . Al sometimes used his as an “on site workbench”.
You are a lot of fun to listen too. Been enjoying since you started.
These podcasts are great for working to. Today I put together some flat pack while I caught up on your news.
Thanks for the chuckles, so down to earth.
That was weird dream but it’s great all at the same time and I’m glad you 3 are together on shop talk and I’m glad Jason and Ben are close together because you both help each other and I think you three are the most important homestead channels and that reminds me I need to get busy on this wood the neighbor had a tree cut down I been cutting it up for my son he loves fires he said it’s quite and relaxing it’s my fault I do it on my days iff
Don't worry Ben .. sharing a room with a toddler AND an Infant will definitely rev your enthusiasm up! LOL 😂 I remember your FIRST Build.. that was a great project. 🔨 ❤
Always enjoy hearing you guys chat and always learn something new!
Ben, if you’ve never watched the movie called, “Life as a House” you really should. It is about a man who reconnects with his son by building a house. It is a great movie! I think of the contrast of that film compared to your close relationship with your kids. You’re making wonderful memories❤
Hey awesome you guys I have been listening to all 3 of your channels love love love them all keep them going they are sooooo good
howdy
Always great to see you all. I really enjoy listening to each of your comments and for the updates. Something funny, I knew "Ben" would take the freezer. I smiled and then laughed.
You all are an inspiration to those of us still dreaming of doing what each of you are living. Thanks guys...
Turkeys are great! I would hold them a lot when small and they were so sweet and tame. They would follow us around like puppies. We were like you Al, butchered too late, they were 40 lbs!! But we sold one for $100!!😮😮
Thank you gentlemen for another great podcast! Take care!
Great talk today. Everyone was so comfortable talking. Appreciate all the channels videos.
Burying pipe is essentially like laying tile in a field.
Andrew camerata has a lot of videos and reviews on skid steer mount attachments on handling brush.
Snowblower has only been out 3 times so far this winter here in Vt. The winds have been crazy though. I hope that darned groundhog was right. 😁 Itching to play in the dirt.
Great to see you guys. Jason, You need to invest in a tractor.
Just a thought here. Have you guys thought about maybe having a guest RUclipsr on the podcast? Some great folks out there, Evan from Country view acres, Pete from Just a few acres farm, Jason from Coghill Farm. Love you guys as a team.
Fun to listen to you guys.
Al, I ordered 15 turkeys last year and did the exact same thing raising them with the new layer chicks and I never lost one turkey! I didn't know they were that hard to raise, but space wise it was the best fit for me to do it like that and separated the turkeys out once they were big enough that they had to have a higher protein feed. So maybe having them together is like u said the layer chicks taught the turkeys how to thrive....I say go for it!! 👍👍
Love turning in.........watch all of you and love your channels. Always fun and love to hear the daily banter!
Blessings for good crops and best of luck with your new arrivals and the processing when the time comes.
Great fellas!
Enjoy this so much! Thank you. Specially love those Jason dreams!!❤
The plow Ben is talking about we used back when we were installing fiber optic cable in Arkansas. We could install miles a day.
I live where Menards began. And old enough to still remember going with my dad to the smallish first store outside of town (early 60's) and was intrigued with all its parts. I'll have to drive by that area and see if the original building is still there.
