Well Sam, your “silly” video had me go to my wire bin, pull out my 18g gold filled wire, then went to my 3mil beads took out some faceted turmalines and got to work. Thank you for another awesome project!!.♥️
Thank you Sam, love your little links, they’re very pretty. Love them with or without beads. Something I will try. Have a great Friday, and a wonderful weekend x❤
Super sweet component! Doing well here in central Ontario- the weather’s starting to turn cool, though. Wish we had bead fairs around where I live! Can’t wait to see your haul. 😊
Those links are absolutely sweet and lovely, thank you for this tutorial, I will try to make them today for incorporation with some projects I’m doing. Really unique chain link 💙🦋💙
@ Yes, so lovely. Well first, I am thinking to use them in 20 gauge as ear wires, where the stem will be longer…drop a small bead, kink the wire and run it around the bail maker plier on 5th or 6th bail, kink and cut and file the end. Also, next, I just adore them as you make them for bracelets, copper which will be oxidized with LOS and polished at the end. And then of course, as drop chain from the earrings. So many ideas, thank you again. I believe the scrap wire bits being melted into a pendant might have been something 4Girls does.
@jeanninej224 I was just getting ready to ask Sam what size the Temu crystals were and there You had asked for me!!! Thank You so much 😊 Thank You @samanthalatimer1 for another lovely link and and a lovely video 😊❤💕💜 I hope you had a Great Day yesterday and today! Windy and Rainy here in Indiana courtesy of Helene! A great day for making jewelry (or jewellery 😉) with Good Friends in the US and UK (and Australia and Canada and Mexico and all over Europe and Asia and Africa, oops I forgot New Zealand!) Better just say Everywhere in the World with other Wire wrapping Friends!
Hey Sam... very creative! I think the texture in the fabric causes interference with the focus. At least that's what I thought was taking place last time. Hope you are well 😊.... thank you so much for your videos.
como todos sus trabajos preciosos. me gusta mucho el alambre que usa . me gustaria saber donde puedo comprarlo. gracias y un saludo y muchas gracias por compartir y enseñar
I am really enjoying learning through your videos. You have obviously been at this for a while - so many skills! Question though, how does the bare copper wire stand up to continuous wear?
It wears beautifully really. You can patina it, or let it darken naturally, or you can keep it bare and clean before each use, or you can treat it with sealants which help to keep the colour for longer. Obviously it’s a metal that does tarnish, like others, so it all depends on the look you want 😍
Those are lovely 😍 does any one know how long each wire end should be when making and using the step lopper. Sam just eyeballed it, and it ends up gorgeous, I am new at wrapping and mine end up sad looking. 😅
I have 18g copper, but I also have 18g German style wire in a gold color. I would like to use the German but wonder about the gold color coming off. I don’t want to make a pretty thing like this only to have the gold reveal copper underneath! Can you help explain German style wire and why we might or might not use it? Thank you. I am eager to make this!
I’ve ever come across German style wire so I’m afraid I have no experience of it. If it’s gold plated copper or something like, then I’d think it would depend on the thickness of the plating. I would go ahead and make it with your chosen wire… I do know you can purchase sprays to seal the coating of wire, so maybe look into that ☺️
I have a "silly" question for you. How do you get your wire so straight when you unwind it from the spool. My wire seems to always have slight bend to it and I can never get the wire as straight as yours. By the way I've made a couple of your designs for myself, my granddaughter, and a coworkers. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
I use my fingers to straighten the wire, but if it’s really being difficult, I use my nylon jaw pliers. Definitely invest in some as they’re fab for straightening your wire 🥰🥰
hi Sam, do you ever have an issue with rosary links "kinking up"? I can't figure out whether I am making my loops too small or too big. Thanks for any insight.
hi sam, i emailed a few pics. I can unkink them easily, but i just wondered if you have had this happen, maybe if my hole is a little smaller so less room to move around? Just wondered if you had any pointers . thanks for sharing what you know!
Hey Sam, Hope your well!? The name of the bead you mentioned "Chalcedony" is pronounced "Cal-sydney"!( just so you know for future reference)😁 I love Temu, I just placed an order for a stack of stuff! hahaha. Very handy little link BTW! Have an awesome weekend my friend! Email??? 🤔🤭
I really love your work. My only complaint would be the amount of talking before the instructions begin. I find myself fast forwarding to the actual instructions.

The perfect little component for so many things! Do you know the bead size of the ones from Temu?
Thank you Sam for teaching us all!
Ooh I think they’re 3x4 rondelles 🥰

Argh! You could be right 😭 I’ll trial something else and see how it goes. It was fine for lots of videos and now all of a sudden it’s not 🫣
@samanthalatimer1 maybe? Cameras seem to stop doing the job well after a while, or so it seems.
So cute
Thank you ☺️
Not silly 😘 thank you 😻😍

Loving this! The copper doesn’t look very copper-y. Are you sure it is?!
It really is! It could be the contrast on my editing 😅🫣

She said they were approx 8 cm
Not sure what you mean? Let me k ow what you mean and I’ll try and help 😍
Where is your clasp at Sam? I love this and have made some links but I couldn’t find where you finished it. Thanks in advance!❤
Hi there. I tend to leave the clasp up to you, so you can use any clasp you like ❤️

hi can you tell me what to use to stop copper from tarnishing thanks debbie
You can use a treatment like Renaissance Wax, or some people swear by Protectaclear by Everbrite

I like the chain variations. For the bracelet did you make a special closure or just use a lobster claw. TFS
Just a simple hook clasp ☺️
