In this video, I show the process of removing hard water stains from the exterior windows of this home.
This window also had some paint overspray.
We use a slightly abrasive chemical compound to help agitate the calcium or iron deposits on the windows. This mixed with a 0000 steel wool and soap / water provides the best possible results. Typically after this method, if we don't see any satisfactory results the remaining methods aren't that promising.
