Thanks for the comments Ralph. Flabbergasted that you don't have a range extender. Can't wait to start flying. In my case, I have the computing power, so a big file is not a problem for me.I noticed that your RUclips file is at 1080p60. When you make a BluRay disc, you can only do it at 30p because the BluRay standard does not accept 60p. So you have to generate 2 files, one at 30p for BluRay and one at 60p for RUclips. Is this how you proceed?

hi Richard. I actually burn the file on a blue ray disc (not DVD disc) and play the file directly on my blue ray player. My Panasonic BDT220 BluRay player supports it.
You could also play it directly on the PC and connect the PC to a plasma ....but make sure the PC is fast enough to play it without any delays to have the best experience.
adding some good music is the key to make it like a movie..:-)
      Thanks

Ralph,Love your videos.....I just bought an ADVANCED myself. Haven't flown it yet. I'm in Montreal, waiting for a bit a warmer temperatures. It was -41 degrees here a couple of days ago.Couple of questions:1. You seem to travel long distances with the quad. Is it a stock quad or do you have some sort of range extender?2. You seem to be filming in 1080p60 all the time and your videos are very sharp. Do you prefer 1080p60 over 2.7k30p? and why? Thanks for your insightRick

hi there...my quad is stock..no special range extenders or anything...no upgrades. This thing can go far out...i didnt even expect it could be that good before i bought it..so was a positive surprise..:-)
1080p is way to go for me....Blueray quality...super sharp...and it still doesnt need so much crazy space on your HD like 2.7k or 4k videos....plus, if you do these big formats, you will likely need some good (new) computer to be able to work with these files....i heard from people who film in 4k that they compress the videos to smaller format again...if that's the case, why to bother to use the format in the 1st place..:-)
1080p is super sharp for me.
btw, the RUclips videos are compressed..youtube compresses the HD video...so what you see in my videos is not even close to what I see, when i play it on the blueray player, directly on TV..:-)
have fun with your new toy.
