we tried ( unsucesfully I have to say) to play this march years ago in my wind-band, sadly ( or happily ) we never performed it on stage :)

Can I just say, from a Marine perspective, and a perspective of some who pretty much grew up loving marches like this, wow. Never before have I seen a band play this better than I have now. Good job, and maybe, could you play Prussia’s Glory. It’s my favorite song, and reasonably so because when ever it was played, it only meant the best of the best were coming.

I have to say that although, technically quite good, the performance is quite sterile. Probably most due to the conductor, he has no fire nor flare for bringing out the drama of this piece. It would make me clap appreciatively, but it wouldn’t make me stand in awe of what I just heard. There is too much excitement missed in this rendition. The conductor has no soul!
