Love this truck! Beautiful inside and out. Well worth the 8 grand to buy it in my opinion. Kyle rocks as always! How can someone not like this truck?! Shoot...if I had the money, I would take this over a new one any day! The craftsmanship in the good old days were incredible.
I had a '78 Custom 150. One of the 2 best trucks I ever had (the other was a '72 Ranger XLT). My '78 had the 300 inline 6 with a 4 speed manual. Great fuel mileage and plenty pulling power. The ride was great and it handled well. These were great trucks.
My son owns a body shop in Pampa Texas and he is totally restoring a '78 with about 80,000 miles on it! He had a very powerful '78 with a 460, this new one will be its' twin! Cragars and all!
Look at the valave covers and the thick timing chain cover and the water thermostat housing goes on the intake manifold. If it was a 351 modified or any style of a cleveland motor the thermostat housing would be mounted to the block. That truck definately has a 460 in it.
Even though I'm a lifetime Chevy/GM fan, I absolutely love the '55/'56 Ford F1's and the shortbox Ford F-10's like this one!!! They have so much potential for an extremely badass pro-touring/resto-mod build. However, the one in this video doesn't need anything and I would keep it exactly how it is. The only thing I'd do is maybe switch out the wheels/rims for a set of Forgeline's or Budnik's.
Man this is a beautiful Ford truck, i miss how cars, and trucks used to be, Always sounded mean, built strong, durable, never torqued, or bent, Good old American Craftsmanship! She also sounds damn Good.
Beautiful American made truck. This thing is beautiful. I have a 2015 F-350 SuperDuty but I really would love to get my hands on one of these babies. I mean it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful. I have one also, not quite in that condition. Lol Mine has a 4.9L inline 6. Was wondering if you can tell me where the temp and oil sensors plug into. My wires are missing coming out of the sensors. Thanks!
This truck is almost the Twin to my 79 F100. My has a 3 speed on the Column. 302 cubic inch under the hood. Looks just mine except for the side chrome. My is plain red with all the new chrome on the front and back . My Grand sons love riding around in the back like we did back in the old days. Makes a great fishing buggy.
Nice truck my dad just bought one but its a 1979 ford f100 ranger and he wants to paint it the exact same color and the funny thing is that he went to Raleigh, NC to buy it and your all the way in Reidsville, NC and he went from Norwalk,CT to Raleigh, NC
Beautiful Truck ... i like the exterior aluminum bright work trim ... Red with the red interior is nice ... i prefer color interior over black interior ... color interior brings out the details of the interior ... thanks for sharing
@mudboggin178 I know but its a brand new radio in a truck from the 70's. Put a defective oem one where the new one is and hide the new one in the glove box so it looks stock
1:37 I Know What It Does, But What Is That Things Name When He Pulls It To Switch Gears? I See Them In My Family’s Pickups, And I Want To Buy An F150 With That Shifter In It
Super nice piece I agree with some of the lower comments in regards to using a black interior style and of they could of used the original wheel style that would of been terrific . A beautiful show car indeed I'll take two...
@ford1979truck well under the hood you can tell its aftermarket parts and it had a custom exhaust with no cats . and if the guy who owned it before rebuilt the motor wich he more then likly did he probly swaped out the piston and rings.
@The1FastGP thats an awesome idea, it will be a slow but sure process because my funds are not prime for a quick restore but from the looks of it. the exterior will be the biggest part of the it because mechanically, the truck is very good besides the carb
+Clarissa Ashley Fully restored and nice like this, I'd say no less than $5,800 and up. I doubt it would be in the $10,000 range, but you never know. They're more valuable in rougher states that require power vehicles due to their terrain.
Easily 15 to 20 thousand it is hard to find them in this condition. And TV shows are not helping everyone wants top dollar . I have been looking for a 79 my self and had no luck
@saabkyle04 Thanks for the video Kyle. This gives me inspiration again to restore my Dad's two tone silver/burgundy '78 F-100 Ranger with a 302. It was going to be my first vehicle but we never got around to fixing it and had been sitting for so long so I don't even know if it will still crank with the old fluids but structurally nearly the whole vehicle is in good shape. Keep bringing in the good finds.
Nice truck but I would be concerned about the position of the oil and temp gauges...oil is reading low and the temp is reading high for sitting and idling for few moments.
Oh, it says Custom on the glove box. Then this has to be a '79 since rectangular headlights were standard on all F-Series pickups and Broncos by then, unless this was a restored '78 with aftermarket headlights.
I have a 79 in Good Shape with 157,000 plus and I get about 10 mpg on a good day. But it runs pretty good. Being that he is in another state other than California. He get to add a few things here and there that will help mpg. But I doubt that he will ever get better than say 14 to 15. But what a nice truck. If it all metal like mine. Then it's is worth it. He never said I don't think what the price of the truck was.
I want to see your new Ford Fairlane, kyle. Please do a long testdrive. btw it would be nice if you could show the street a little more, not only the steering wheel.
What a beautiful truck.

perfect tunes to cruise around in that beauty
I used to play Jim Croce in my 78
Nothing beats an obs ford. I have a 79 f150 and i love it
Back when trucks were truly 100% American built and made 🇺🇸
They're starting to be built here again (finally)
Darth Gamer RIP the good ol days
Thankyou Trump! haha
Jordan Rosenberg - Yep! Let's see Hillary do that...
Darth Gamer ,Yup, They sure was man.
I love these "semi-classics" from the 70s and 80s.
That’s a beautiful pickup for sure.
Thanks for sharing.
That is a nice truck!!! I wish trucks still looked like this! I want one!
I am the biggest fan of all your videos.
This truck looks awesome
My son owns a body shop in Pampa Texas and he is totally restoring a '78 with about 80,000 miles on it! He had a very powerful '78 with a 460, this new one will be its' twin! Cragars and all!
I like how the inside of this truck is bright red
What a beauty. I almost bought a 79' from my friends dad, but I found my Dodge just before. Still wouldnt min owning one! Thanks for the upload!

I wonder if that 351 Windsor is original to that truck. Whoever did the restoration did a nice job! My grandpa and my dad both had one of these!

My dad used to have one of those. It was a good old truck!

Hi saabkyle! Could you make a video of a more recent version of the ford crown victoria?
Do a 1979 Bronco review.

Now that is what Quality is all about! Both truck and video!
Sure is one nice little truck! Thanks alot for the great tour onces again :)
I am not a FORD fan at all..but you gotta love a nicely redone truck...
Do it. Not many F100s are around and if you restore this one you talk about, it'll be amazing to see for most people
worst part of the video is when he shut it off
um ok?
yeah, no kidding
+Th3Sabator45 why?
mine will never run that good
Mr. Joy Europe 16 I request you go back to English class
man that is a beautiful truck. Love the old trucks.
Truly a beast of a vehicle
Nice truck my dad just bought one but its a 1979 ford f100 ranger and he wants to paint it the exact same color and the funny thing is that he went to Raleigh, NC to buy it and your all the way in Reidsville, NC and he went from Norwalk,CT to Raleigh, NC

Nice! My neighbor has one of these, except its a manual transmission, but I want to buy his! Thanks Kyle!
Pink Floyd FTW.
I liked David glimour songs from Pink Floyd
Emmet Brown great song
@@_thebusphotograher_cali Don't tell Roger Waters that
I love how wish you were here was playing on the radio
@mudboggin178 I know but its a brand new radio in a truck from the 70's. Put a defective oem one where the new one is and hide the new one in the glove box so it looks stock

@@KyleJewell Thanks
Marvelous FE!!!

Beautiful truck very nicely done
Was that interior color a factory option? Seems a bit extreme, although so was disco. It was the late 70's after all.
Can you make a more in depth video?? I have a 1979 Ford f100 stepside and I’m trying to fix her up, she’s my first car
Do you have a Ford Focus on your channel?
im gonna be buying a 79 f100. Do you guys recommend that?
How much would one of these cost, fully restored like this?
@ford1979truck well under the hood you can tell its aftermarket parts and it had a custom exhaust with no cats .
and if the guy who owned it before rebuilt the motor wich he more then likly did he probly swaped out the piston and rings.
My friend had a blue 77, his brother had a red 77, their friend had a green 79!
They sold them a long time ago.
does the 1978 have a computer system? what year did ford start using computer systems?
even got the stock radio in it i see
I don't think a uganda knuckles fan has any room to call anybody autistic
I think I can considering I have a 4.5 GPA
Not Lucas I don't
@KLX1990 why would you take a 302 over a 351?
Reminds me of that Merle Haggard song when the Ford and the Chevy could last 10 years still could still would.
@nikyjim did they stop using the 360 by 77?
wish this was mine
What kind of mpg does it get, is it still under factory warranty?
❤❤❤ great truck
This is a sunny weekend truck right here
Such a fine truck.
are there cup holders?
Pink Floyd and Jefferson Starship in that pickup just reeks of the 70's
@The1FastGP thats an awesome idea, it will be a slow but sure process because my funds are not prime for a quick restore but from the looks of it. the exterior will be the biggest part of the it because mechanically, the truck is very good besides the carb

I know old post but yeah right - this thing is at least worth $12k and honestly think it'd fetch $15-$18k
SalandFindles fully restored $5800 ??? Hahaha dont do drugs

bed liner nice. the tailgate didnt get bed lined though
Hey Kyle did that truck have a 460
Engine size?
nice..love the 6th generation f-series, and my favorite vehicleis 1973-1975.
I love the Ford f100 custom.
If this is a '78, it is a Ranger since it has rectangular headlights. '78 Customs still had round headlights.
Oh, it says Custom on the glove box. Then this has to be a '79 since rectangular headlights were standard on all F-Series pickups and Broncos by then, unless this was a restored '78 with aftermarket headlights.

some 15x10 rims would look amazing in this truxk
@MrZimzam Yes the switch is located under the steering wheel
They don’t make trucks like that anymore. A true America classic
@1SirCarlton 385 series engines are no joke check out the 429 cobra jet. or just a stock 460
How much did it sell for ??
Today I made a best move this month. I subscribed to you. I am so happy that i subscribed you :))))))
i thought 78's had round headlights.
is there hazerds?
is it still for sale and how much?
Very nice, thanks Kyle
I like the trim that goes all the way around
luv your vids keep it up
Very nice truck
I want to see your new Ford Fairlane, kyle. Please do a long testdrive.
btw it would be nice if you could show the street a little more, not only the steering wheel.
Hello Kyle, if you ever find a 1985-1989 Toyota MR2, please do a review :)
I'm almost positive that's a 1979 with the square headlights, I have a 1978 and it's the round lights
I have a 78 it has square 1978 was a split year for the grill design they are interchangeable.
Is water pose to come out the tail pipe when you get on the gas like that
Yes. Condensation build up. happens with all vehicles
