  • A few different uses for an inexpensive wallpaper remover. Just changing the attachment helps you to direct steam into one location, to soften old putty.
    Also… cooking????!!🤣😂

This is on metal? If this were a wood frame would the steam cause damage to the wood?

It can soften the wood a bit, but not damage it. Steam is often used in situations where you need to bend wood. And has been used for thousands of years. But it does soften it, to where it is more easily damaged till it dries. And you often need to resand it after it dries

It sounds like you are in a room with a tin roof being pelted by rain.. :-) At 1:33+ were you steaming the old glaze to soften it?

😂🤣 yes sir! The sound of the steamer totally took over the first clip! But, yes. Especially if you concentrate it on one spot, it will really soften up that old glazing putty

How about Craftsperson?this in answer to instead of craftsman or craftswoman,.
Why is gender even coming into it?

Great point! And great question. The fact is, that the construction industry is still largely male dominated. In a job site of 30-40 people, it is still common to find only one female, or none at all where I’m at. And there is a lot of old school thought that women cannot reach skill levels of mastery. And, of course, this is not true. But it’s incredibly difficult for women on a construction site. They have a lot more to overcome, as far as the work environment goes. And I wanted to make sure that people know, that there are several top notch female craftpersonnel 👍. Gender is one of those things that doesn’t go unnoticed in construction. Not that I support that. But it’s just the reality of it. Some people have the mindset of children, and this type of thing is a constant challenge. But “craftsperson” is fine with me 😁
