This guy did my brass Triumph toe plate installation on my Allen Edmonds. He did a stellar job. If anyone here wants to protect the soles of their dress shoes definitely send them to this guy to have it done.
I learned to use cotton balls in the Army 45 years ago. The technique takes practice and it's important to use natural cotton balls. Otherwise, I do a mirror shine exactly the same way, with the same products.
dunno if anyone cares but if you are bored like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf these days =)
I used the SAPHIR Mirror Gloss to build up a base (5 coats) and then finished with thin coats of Pate De Luxe. (Kirby Allison recommended this) I achieved an awesome mirror shine however, it did not last even half the day without cracking (very badly) on the toe caps of my Allen Edmunds. I have another pair of Allen Edmunds that I have not even worn yet that are starting to slightly crack on the cap toes. after being polished one week ago . They are just sitting in the living room with a shoe tree in them and the same shoe tree was in the shoes when I polished them. Do you have any suggestions? Should I just scrap the mirror wax and use only the Pate De Luxe?

Is that the Akubra Bogart you were wearing? I have the exact same one with the yellow feather too.
A very smart pair of shoes and a nice job on them, Thanks for posting 👌
So you recommend the Mirror Gloss before the MDO wax? I had been doing it the other way. I will have to try this.

@Marvin Cristiano Yea, I have been using Instaflixxer for months myself :)

I think I missed that new video you said we're supposed to put wax on the heel?
Great video as usual, thanks!
Is that saphir cloth washable?
Yell at that guy doing the hammering you are making a video.
What is the name of the bottle you’re using?
I have the mirror gloss but it’s a white colour
How to open the box
5 minutes in and you haven't gotten to it yet.
