    Hello Kirby! Love your work. I live in Alaska where it gets quite dry for much of the year. As a new professional l have began to acquire a sizable collection of calf skin leather shoes/boots. I have enough pairs now that it can take quite a while for a pair to work their way through my rotation before their aesthetic dulls and could use a new regimen of leather conditioner, cream polish, and wax. My question to you is: as a man with a generous collection of shoes how often would you recondition and/or polish if you were in this challenging climate? Thank you sir.

Whats the difference between the two and will not using the reptan and using the products i mention harm the leather? And between the universal leather lotion and renovateur which one is the better product to use?

    Since seeing your videos I acquired two new pairs of shoes and started renovating existing pairs using cream and wax polishes (I set up a water sprayer too) and going to town on keeping shoes nice. As I am retired I am not tied to suits shirts ties and shoes these days (excepted on stage with uke band) but Kirby, my late dad always wore suit tie etc in old age and dressed smart. You have sparked by interest and my wife now says I have a shoe fetish ... ... not the persona I seek! My best friend and I have been
    watching your vids on watches pens etc and dreaming of a different world. My other big Dallas regular views tends to be Dennis Collins and Richard Rawlings on big USA cars. Sorry too much info, but what car do you drive? I guess a Bentley?

    I am kind of lost. Some say that you have to hydrate shoes after cleaning them with soap and you don't need to apply wax. Here I can read that cream polish also provides kind of a wax that you can polish.

    Hi, if the shoes are still quite new with no color loss or scratches, but you want to treat them after a season of wear to maintain a bit of waterproofing and don't require a mirror shine, would only using the Pate de Luxe be sufficient, instead of a combination of 1925 creme and Pate de Luxe?

    I conditioned my black leather shoes with saphir renovatour and neutral cream.
    Then I wore them a couple of days later and noticed white cracking.
    It rained and it got worse.
    I’ve been noticing that in shoes after I condition and add neutral cream. If some water gets on top, it forms a white layer where the water was at.
    Any tips on how to avoid this white layer?
    Seems like the shoe gets dried out from the water and solvents precipate out.

    So I recently purchased the loake Hurst boots in burgundy chestnut. I was told only use cream and never to use wax polish on them as it could remove the colour. Do you think the mirror gloss could be used as it has less solvents. Do you have a video covering how to polish this type of leather finish? Thanks for sharing great content and information.

    Hi, I've searched on your videos and couldn't find anything about what to wear or boots for using when you live/go to the rural side and suits are not an option. Could you make a video giving us some ideas? I always liked suits but here in the rural side is a sacrilege because they get dirty all the time and most of the times business meetings are more casual or while on family reunion. I'm from Argentina and the most popular shoe in the rural areas are "chinelas" wonder if you can come up with something to combine them.

    • @TheNunakun
      @TheNunakun 3 года назад +1

      If I may chime in, I'm sure a mirror gloss would look out of place in a casual setting - ex. Jeans, sweater, etc.
      Then again, style is subjective, and a mirror shine shows you know what you're doing regardless.
