Though this is very funny; I actually owned a similar model about 20 years ago when I started in anesthesia practice. It was very useful to calculate dosages of medicine for pediatric patients (where one needs to be more precise than in adult sized people). I felt very "state of the art" having a calculator handy on my wrist and used it frequently. Since medical professionals have to have their Tuberculosis status checked each year, I even used the alarm to remind me when to have my skin test read by a hospital nurse to clear me for soundness to continue practicing.

OMG i used to have this same exact model back in high school in the late 80's.
Used to store a bunch of phone numbers and birthdays in it, oh and as a quick calculator too.
I remember the keypad membrane fading after a while, the wristband cracked after about a year, guess it wasn't UV stabilized well enough, I had to guess the numbers after a while... but great memories :)
Oh it had a hidden cellphone build in too ... nah it didn't, but I sure wish it did... tsk tsk

For some reason, California requires warnings on everything hence the Green Day (Kinks riff) song. Certainly the only place where I've seen warning labels along the biscuit and crisps aisle at the supermarket!
I guess the extra leaflet is in there to comply with some Californian requirement about labelling potentially toxic plastics or batteries or what not.

I also have the DBC-611-G databank calculator watch in gold, and with it's flat "membrane" keyboard it's far easier to press specific keys.......but I still love the CA-53 more....... mainly due to Marty in Back to the Future, And the "Dweeb" from The Breakfast Club etc. It really is an iconic timepiece, isn't it.

This was the funniest video I've seen in a while! Side splitting!
I bought one of these a year ago just to have because I had owned one ten years previously.

I love these videos. Is the purpose simply to make fun of tech unboxing videos or is it also meant to be informative?
