I'd been reading DC for 10 years but the time Crisis came out and I didn't come close to knowing who every character was . No matter ..this is simply the best ( and most necessary ) event in Comic Book History as far as stakes go . I really wish the cast majority of the events of Crisis hadn't been undone over time , bit it doesn't change the fact that this is an incredibly fun and enjoyable read . I read this every few years and I've been collecting all of the crossover titles , needing only 2 GI Combats and a Superman .Once I find them I plan to read this from beginning to end in order including all of the tie ins . I'm really looking forward to doing that . Great review Jon .
As a kid, this series was the catalyst for my migration from collecting mostly Marvel to mostly DC. The Secret Wars just seemed hollow by comparison to me. And this series just made me want to know more about DC. George Perez is my all time favorite artist too... so that definitely had an impact.

Is the paper glossy or matt as in some shots it looks like its matt. I ask as I'm thinking of upgrading but not for a slightly larger version of a trade paperback. thankyou

@@JonDelArroz Later on, it's kind of hinted that the Spectre also remembered the pre-Crisis universe as well.
Do you have the "Infinite Crisis" and "Final Crisis" omnibus collections also?
