Videos like this are why I've been so excited to get in the industry. Just got my license yesterday used the jakes for the first time its underated music
That's why I was excited too. Unfortunately most newer trucks, even if manuel transmission, just aren't the same. You can still stumble upon these at a trucking outfit tho
This truck is singing beautifully. One of the best engines out there. Just got my cdl permit last month working on getting my license to drive these bad boys eventually. Happy trucking be safe.
Like #243. Nice shifting. I had the pleasure of driving 2 different series 60. Hauled 125~139,000 in the hills nipigon to wawa and would lug holding 1450 real good. Jakes are the best sounding.
Does a transmission shift differently in a Pete than in any other truck ? And does it make a difference in the sound of the engine if it's in a Pete as opposed to any other brand of tractor ? Noooope
@@CERTIFIED_LOGISTICS im from jersey and have a 2005 series 14L 515 series 60. Do you know if this shop can do the 12.7 171702 turbo swap and egr delete?
when u downshift 13 speed do u go to low range of smaller gear or you drop high to low then high of smaller gear and drop all stages ? im asking cuz i drive 10 speed and want to put in 18 speed as i lm putting in a new reman 12.7l with pdi turbo and manifold tuned to 600 hp
@@CERTIFIED_LOGISTICS seems like a hassle to drop that many each time if you split every downshift could i just drop full gear when i downshift everytime without going to high/low range ?
@@CERTIFIED_LOGISTICS no worries my man still awesome video people underestimate Detroit because mechanic gets rich of Detroits because they always see them in a tired state. But dont gett it twisted Detroit engines are amazing freaking amusingly loud with them straight pipes. Definitely louder than a cat cat has to be customized sometimes to even match the loudness of a detroit or cummins. Mostly drivers buy Detroit because their good of fuel. Sometimes you gotta choose sometimes: saving money or making huge horsepower. Sometimes engines cant get the best of both worlds. But me honestly I like all three engine company they all have their pros

Smooth shifting and damn that 4 wheeler that pulled out in front of ya 🤣
Such a satisfying exhaust note, especially the Jake brake.
Bro it’s a series 60.The best engine other than the isx and c15
@@kremesodajay3385 N14 is better than the ISX tho. No hate to it, it’s just not as good as the C15, DD60 and N14 are. 🤷🏻♂️
This is the proper way to shift an eaton!!! Me personally I learned like this in south fl growing up . Everyone swears by just splitting.
