On long hills like that about every 2 miles or minutes turn jake off when applying foot brake for a few seconds to get oil film on gears & bearings & put new oil in jake housings!!
I don’t think that would make a difference as far as I’m aware since it’s a mechanical driven oil pump off the rotation of the engine which doesn’t stop when jakes are applied
@@007outtacontrol are you replying totidalsnow or my post if you are replying to my post , i have gotten it from 45 years of driving & working on trucks & seeing the wear on the componets on the truck.
@@johnC7434 yep. Their state Route signs all look like granite mountains. I used to have a dedicated Route to Londonderry. Used to take, 93, 293,101 to 12 to get to Leominster, Ma.
My 23 Freightliner with a DDEC 15 & 12 speed Allison auto mat wouldn't even be able to make it up that hill. It really struggles on a 6% grade pulling a light load.
Yah... but how much Weight are you carrying?? Or are you just in the tractor, trailer-less? I am interested in seeing a 12.7 pull 40,000 lbs up that incline!!
Pointless! Whats the rpm what's the gear? Whole lotta noise no knowledge. I run a 12.7 have for the last 12 years after discovering how garbage and overly expensive cats and cummins are.
Scott Mills uhh, Detroit engines actually are really good man, I really don’t care if a Pete has a Cat, Cummins or Detroit, all I care is reliability and sound lol
picked a beautiful time of the year to do this video. gosh what a beautiful fall scenery

Damn lil Detroit sounds good. Damn good old engines.
Damn right!
made a delivery to that same location before, fun little hill too
That would be terrifying at night and in snowy conditions or even rainy
Even worse when you got air powered wipers lol
Gotta love the Series 60's music!! Git 'er dun!!
Damn that 60 sires sounds good 👍👍
Veeery nice control.
Like music in my ear 🥰
Upload more dude
I’m still waiting for the 15% hill
the hill sign literally tells you its a 15% grade down hill
What RPM did you bring her down at
What state was this at? The forest look a lot like Clearfield county Pa by my camp
Arizona
New Hampshire. I've been to this place. Bottled water facility on top of a small mountain.

What’s it set at? I’d love to have a 500. My 430/470 was good.
They built a 430, 470and the one I drove for 2 weeks while my freightliner was in the shop the 515hp. That engine was a beast!!
Let's ride yall 🤪
What a place to build a house/place a trailer 😂

Eazy
It says in the description he's pulling 80,000lbs
Use position 1 much better sound for long hill😎✌️
and weaker
Not sure I feel like he's putting the jake uphill ?

Scott Mills also, are you really offended by someone else’s truck? Lol
I'v seen series 60's spin both axles on concrete locking in the king pin
Scott Mills What's wrong with detroits? Theyre damn good motors.
I can make more twist with a crescent wrench and a cheater pipe than a Detroit engine REALLY
Meow
Saves more fuel n leaks less cheaper to maintain runs good with tune n turbo n its not gonna drop liners so ..im glad cat stop making engines🤣
*Laughs in money saving reliability
Yeah, I've towed more cat engines than Detroit with my truck which is sad considering the company I work for mostly has S60 engines. 🤣
You could probably suck the bed sheets up through someone's asshole too.
