During the video I had to go back and rewatch the video a few times due to the music messing with my hearing. Was listening to the video with my phone in my pocket and on that first time that I listened I zoned out and didn't even realize what he was saying. For the second time I was just watching a watchlist and the video popped up but it just bugged me so I looked and saw this post so I commented.
I will say that the matte glass back is something that you really need to feel in the hand to appreciate. This device feels super good in the hands. Performance is very good, still a few software quirks left with OS 12 but overall the experience is actually quite pleasant.
Why risk it not being in a case? Honestly, the only times I have ever run without a case have been when my phone has broken, with the sole exception of my bulletproof Motorola Droid X2... I miss that phone...
The Tmobile variant is identical to the unlocked version. Both are equally waterproof its just that OnePlus only pays for the IP68 stamp on Tmobile to keep down the cost.

Also 1.5 meters are too much for a phone technology of 2019, even one of the highest and best flagship phones on 2019 are only susceptible to 0.5-1 meters down underwater.

If OnePlus can afford to give IP rating to only the T-Mobile USA variant, then surely engineering and cost cuts are the reason any model from any manufacturer doesn't offer water resistance. Good to know that the cameras are acceptable for once.

Got mine and happy with it, in my opinion the software looks more cleaner and smoother than OneUI and the buggy pixel experience. I don't understand why Americans have to have stock android for every android phone

People don't want a completely vanilla UI, but rather a mostly stock experience with some additional features. The old Oxygen was a great example of the latter which is one of the biggest reasons why OnePlus gained popularity in the first place.
there are more parts to a phone than just the camera. you talk about the camera in so much detail as if your audience is made up of nothing but professional photographers.
I had the OnePlus 9 pro went to the 10 pro I can definitely see a difference in the speed it doesn't seems like it doesn't lag as much voice to text is much better also the antenna is better I don't drop out near as much in fact I haven't yet this is just my opinion is definitely a better phone

Great review! Balanced. I have looked at the market and ONCE AGAIN landed at One Plus for like the 7th year in a row. But I do think this will be my last one. I see a decline in this brand which is really sad. Been looking at the market for a while now and really cannot find a sweet spot above this phone. S22 Ultra and iPhone 13 Max Pro are the big daddies but they cost a whopping 40% more than this phones does. As usual the One Plus doesn't have the best camera but I am not that great at taking shots anyway.
Agreed, they can punch above their weight, not exactly beating other companies at anything, but not far off either at a lower cost. I really hope they will focus hard on the software side though. They should avoid bugs/battery drain issues/missed notifications. Got burned by the bugs on my OP7 pro last year.

iv been debating between OnePlus 10 pro and the Galaxy S22. Im leaning towards the Oneplus because of the Hassalbald camera. and I have shot those cameras at my university and they take great shots. ive been thinking about the one plus brand for a couple of months. i thought it was a good time to take the plunge and buy the one plus 10 pro and add it to my collection of high end phones. I bought it mostly because you get a high end phone that is able to hold its own against the other top brands like Samsung, Apple and Google. Can't wait to use it. And the best part I got it off amazon in the emerald green version for less than 300. I will have to buy a phone case for it off of Temu. Good luck everybody.

The reviews of the gt neo 3 with the 8100 mention that the phone doesn't heat up abnormally while performing day to day activities. Throttling is not the benchmark to choose the chip. A normal user will never use any phone to that extent to induce throttling. It's the heating while performing normal activities which should be noticed. If that happens like it does in the 8 gen 1 then it's a big problem

It's nice review video as always by GSM arena team. As one of OnePlus fans it's was very good to hear OP once again made a great hardware, and great camera this time. But it cannot hide disappointed feeling, deep down in my heat i really miss the simple and fast OOS, the unique. Once I bet that OnePlus was one brand that will surprised apple. But looks like it's not anymore, now if you have one plus people will questions is it a good device? Back than all OnePlus is flagship/killer, today there's too many variant I think.
@@yensteel I have the 12gb Steel Black variant. Build is very good. Software is the usual oppo ColorOS. No glitches and no lags. Camera is good both in the day and at night. But there is no telephoto lens and 2 times zoom is all you can go upto for a good photo. But the 8 gen 1 chip makes the phone get warm occasionally, even if you use the camera for long or are watching RUclips. I have the gt neo 2 running on the snapdragon 870 too. But that phone doesn't heat up the way this does while using the camera or while watching RUclips. The chipset is the issue. I don't play games so can't talk about that.
I warn you buy this is the absolutely worst crap set alarm for I have ever seen. I bought mine 6 months ago for almost €1000 and this crap makes me annoyed and irritated on a daily basis. It's complete junk software full of bugs

False. It's just Apple now, with Android phones playing second fiddle. Chinese manufacturers more or less have been locked out of the market (look what happened to ZTE and Huawei), and other competitors have fallen behind the big two.
Is there any articles covering that claim? If OP is managing the temperature well under charge, probably the battery degradation will not be higher than the if you use normal/slow charge.

Charging a battery faster than it can reconstitute the chemicals on the nodes, will degrade it. You don't need articles to tell you that. It's basic logic. Temperature has to do with with the speed of the draining of the battery.
