    Hi, My name is Moz, I've worked for land rover (the company, not dealerships) since 1989, I retired in 2020 and have 35+ landy's in my possession, your vids, approach, ideas and content has inspired me to now build my own camper and hit the road in a big way, thank you so much, keep the content rolling, cheers

      Hi Moz, this is absolutely bloody brilliant! Can’t say how happy it makes us to hear that it’s given you the bug to try it, overlanding/ van travel is our favourite way to explore the world and we are so stoked for anyone who decides to try it. There’s something that’s hard to describe about travelling in a home you’ve made yourself! Wishing you the very best with the build and adventures ❤️

    Hello intrepid travellers. So excited you’re coming to my continent. When you get down to South Africa, you need to call in at ours.

We will make sure to let you know, would be lovely to meet you. Thanks for the tip. We did Morocco this time last year and our tour guide advised on a “spare spare wheel n tyre!”

    Good luck

    • @truebluetravellers
      @truebluetravellers  Год назад +1

      Thanks very much Perry. Sounds like you had an amazing adventure. Thanks for the tip, the Aussies often run 2 spare wheels, especially when taking on some of the outback tracks. Like you say it’s a bit of a balancing act really. Looking at the likelihood of 2 blowouts vs the extra weight you have to carry and the space it takes up. Some people have said don’t take a winch because it’s wasted weight but we like the comfort of having it, it’s hard to know what gear to take. We’ve always got puncture repair kits, Jon’s obsessed with them 😂 so will definitely have some with us.

Useful to know in case to have main winch failure ..... lovely protective boot for it bye the way 😄 Another handy tip is if you are going through water or deep mud reel your winch out a bit before and secure the hook on top of the bonnet . The last thing you want to do if stuck nose down is try and dig it out from where you cant see it and its buried in goo !

I have a small metal D ring mounted on top of the wing I clip the winch hook to when going off roading ... saves a load of hassle in the muddy stuff. • @truebluetravellers

      Thanks kamran that’s much appreciated, we got the springs from a company called metrol springs, if you like I can send u the part number of the springs we got,
      They went up in force by about 50%, so from 500 - 800n 400-600n and 150 - 250n, we spoke to someone who had previously replaced the springs who suggested what rating to go for 😁

    Hi guys. Just found your channel and subscribed. Great build so will be binge watching to catch up. Love the interior living space with standing height due to the Alu Cab roof system. Great final touches with attention to detail and practicality. Great job all round. One thing I found which you may be interested in, seeing as Jess is handy with the sewing machine. It’s a rear door shelter cover used on a new style landy. Thought it might be an idea for you to use with the outdoor shower. I know you have the 270 awning but Could be adapted to also create a screen when showering if the awning is not being used or both. Great channel guys and look forward to your adventures. ruclips.net/video/1H-IKr16uzQ/видео.htmlfeature=shared

      Thanks Ashley 😁 and thanks for watching, this is a brilliant idea, definitely making this, also the awning is great but it doesn’t cover the back door to the roof fully so this would then work with that too, also could use it on its own for like a small awning if I can’t get the awning out, like where I am now for example, thanks very much for the suggestion 👍
