    so guy I drive these home delivery vans. Honestly do your self a favour move the light bar on the back up as high as possible. Slowly catching up 🙂 Tip for those roof rack uprights, rather than cut them, stick them in the drill press and use a 25mm (or whatever size tubing you are using) hole saw to drill through them, gives you a really snug fit to weld up.

    Come on now, while a tool related show would be quite a thing, we all know it's just another veiled attempt to buy more tools.
    I'm not knocking you in any way, but I do see through ya!
    :)
    In all seriousness, I absolutely love the detail you go into for your tips and tools and materials you use. They're really helpful.
    I know it's not ideal, but maybe an idea (if it does become a problem) for mitigating any snow or rain with that walk-through door seal is something like a length of water pipe insulator, the foam type. If you cut it to length and pop it down over the seal between the cab and the back then it'll be flexible enough to account for temperature changes in the metal. Hope you see what I mean.

    I just recently found your channel and just in time for this build! I only wish you'd put links to certain items that you use, such as the windows, concertina seal and the door latches. Even if the vendor will not ship to my location, just knowing the brand names or the names of the brand would help immensely with finding similar items. That aside, your build is absolutely wonderful. What a good idea to use a Sainsbury's delivery van that is well insulated. It also has a very nice looking shape to it and not a flat roof which is a bonus! Especially if you were to visit an area with heavy snowfall as it is effectively standing water on a flat roof that can permeate the best of seals.

      Cheers mate, yeah we are loving the little box van, like u say I like the shape of the body too, just a little bare underneath which makes it look a bit funny but hopefully will sort that one 👍

    Great video, but you are using the bending machine wrong, you should pull down to bend it’s easier not push up 😮

    • @truebluetravellers
      @truebluetravellers  Год назад

      Cheers mate, yeah I tried it bending down but as I try to keep the length as long as possible to have as few welds as possible the tube it too long for me to get a 90 bending down 👍

    Driving those vans for years I've known the cab in some instances to move whilst driving and hit the box, so it may be worth considering a buffer of some sort to stop it from doing that, with you're doorway frame in-situ so it don't get crushed.
