The best drumming channel around. I'm learning a lot about drums and i'm a guitar player 🤘🏻. Lord Marco Rules! He recorded amazing drums on our last album.
Ok cool man, im Dan Mcdaniel, im the guy back in the day that discovered you jammin on the the roland, think I sent you some cash too, was glad to do it, wasn't much, im always about supporting other musicians and bands, wish i had more money to do so, you had sent me the flash drive card from your settings on your roland td 20, and some other cool stuff, and again thank you for that still have it all ! do you still have your td 20 ? Unfortunately i had to sell mine to keep us from losing the house, kinda hard times back then, still miss that kit, have an alesis strike pro se now which is really fucking good , technology has come along way, been drumming now for geez 30 years, you had back then and still to this very day inspire me man! I've always been someone to push myself to the limits and try new things and if i seen a drummer doing something at the time i couldn't do, it was fucking on to achieve that, when i first seen and heard of you I was like holy shit, I can't do any of those techniques lol but i can certainly now, thanks to you dude! Good to hear from you and keep up all your great work brother and know you've got alot of support, even from little old grandbaby alabama 😀 where were at lol.
I strongly agree with Marco about heavy sticks being helpful. I played for years with marching sticks, and it was easy to generate a tremendous amount of power without much effort thanks to the sheer mass of the things. I also found the increased weight made it much easier to maintain fine control.
If you're over the age of sixteen and don't know how many feet are in a meter then you're fucking up. Regardless of which system you use. They don't cover the basic conversations over there, or do y'all just enjoy whining about the US not using the metric system too much for that?
if you wanna know how to convert heights to feet and inches or to cm really quickly just get a crippling insecurity about your height and suddenly you're like a damn ruler
@@user-id2dx4qd6j Nope, every setup has its pros and cons, lightweight may let you play faster, but you get less rebound, so you have to have an extra effort on upper motion and may struggle with control
That'd be funny if he'd need to do that, seeing how simply he shows his speed while just chilling and talking. You'd think someone named Mike Caputo was insanely jealous or something
Was a pleasure being part of the student audience. He had a lot of other cool topics, so even if you don't have Italian blood, there's plenty to think about or work on. I look forward to fresh blood at DTA because we interact a lot and come up with some interesting questions the teachers answer.
Dude I love Marco. He seems like such a down to earth dude and if you walked past him on the street, you'd have no idea this dude is a deathcore drumming legend.
Wow. I forgot how much you get around. I really enjoyed your playing in the new Sleep Terror and Abuse albums and I'm beyond stoked to hear your work with RoS! Until then sounds like I have a lot of music to check out. Been listening to you since the Brain Drill/ The Faceless era. One of my favorite drummers. Thanks for your work slaughtering skins and your response!
He's actually right, the basics of this technique is the same. Then, developing muscle strength in your fingers to reach that speed is a whole different story lol
He uses the rebound from the snare head, just like how a basketball player uses the rebound from the court and ball to make their job easier. You knew what he meant.
Sorry for the controversy. I remember marco being accused of speeding up video on Italian fb groups. In Italy really between envy and tradition you find yourself admiring 4/4 and disgusting everything you don't know how to do

@@drumtechniqueacademy Yeh +2 for John Longstreth!
Lord Marco "basically tapdancing and basketball dribbling at the same time" :0
Marco is a legend. I used to endlessly watch his drum playthroughs of Brain Drills music.
As far as I can remember, he was the one who I first saw doing a gravity blast, which back in the time blew my brain away.
Ive known Jeff H. for years just from being a part of the bay area metal scene, he is an extremely nice guy & all around good dude.
He was one of the absolute first to popularise the gravity blast. Learned today he got it from Longstreth. The more you know.
The good old myspace days! Lord Marco killed it with Vornagar!!!
He did the drums for one of my songs, he's an absolute monster of the Extreme Death Metal scene
What a sick drummer. Makes it look so easy

I remember seeing the Hyperion video.

Marco makes these technique's look so easy.I wish I was good enough to use them.
Marcos smug smile and little laugh after almost ever comment makes me think he knows most of his talent comes from the engineering and editing.
