The crowd at the Okie Homesteading Expo was bigger than they expected. For a first time event, it was very well planned and executed. Any glitches were small and easily corrected next year! Wonderful, wonderful experience and meeting you was the icing on the cake! Loved seeing MaryCarl with her group of friends! Just the best day.
My husband gets motion sick very easily. Tried lots of things with no help. Then tried Scopalamine patch which is a prescription. He does fantastic on them, sailing, cruise, airplane, rough seas… Give it a try.
Y’all were the biggest “celebrities “there! I saw the long lines to meet you. Wow! What a blessing for you. Know you are loved❤️
Y'all had me tearing up and feeling all warm and fuzzy inside .I could just feel the love y'all have for each other.
I am 82 and I have had motion sickness all my life. My Dad and his Mom, my Grandmother, also had motion sickness. And my poor Grandma took a ship over from Poland in the early 1900's to settle in Hamtramic, Michigan with 2 sons who remembered taking care of her as she was so very sick the whole way. So, it is inherited and it is nothing to be ashamed of, I have finally learned. I did use Scapolomine patches behind my ear for serveral flights and did not get sick but was very sleepy for several days after. My heart goes out to you. God Bless.

I think it's clear that what Brooke needs to do on a plane so she doesn't get sick is either fly the plane or sit in the cockpit. Brooke, I would talk to your Dr about the dramamine reaction & ask if there is something else. I know people who take Bonine for motion sickness & can even go on rides. ( That or maybe you had a stomach virus) Some people have just the opposite reaction to meds that make you sleepy, & they get agitated. The same with hyperactive kids, they give them a stimulant, but it calms them down. Normal people would be bouncing off walls. You 2 come across so friendly & sweet on your videos that I feel like I know you. I'm a senior citizen & I feel like I could just sit down & talk to y'all for hours!
I feel so sorry hearing how you get motion sickness. I'm so prone to that myself. When I was young my parents used to prepare a spot to sleep if we were going very far. Sleeping seemed to be the only way I survived. Otherwise id be throwing up even after the trip. There was no medicine for it back then. Glad your home and safe. I just love y'all.
I don't think it was the flight that made you sick, it was the Dramamine. In the future please use Bonine. The active ingredient in Bonine is 25mg of Meclizine. Meclizine is the generic name for Antivert. Antivert is commonly prescribed for vertigo. Vertigo causes motion sickness. Bonine is an over the counter medication for motion sickness. Meclizine does not require a prescription but is kept in the pharmacy. Ask your pharmacist for any questions you may have.

My Mom was a flight attendant starting in the 60’s so I grew up on airplanes. Your not alone on getting airsickness Brooke; I’ve seen a lot of people get sick over 50+ years as a passenger.
I am so impressed with Brooke's strength & perseverance. Ya'll had a lot on your plate before ever going to Expo. This is all done, time for concrete & completing home & pond. Remember to breathe & that sleep is over-rated. You are gracious & fun people & maybe someday day I will meet you in person. Plant 3 sunflowers for me. Can you imagine if we all could buy sunflowers for you to grow. I could say I have Roots in Alabama @ Cog Hill Farm 🌻🌻🌻🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

I'm luck that I married a man a lot like Jason in the sense that he does what needs to be done without complaint and he takes such good care of me. I know how wonderful it is to have a relationship like that and I am so happy you guys found each other way back when. You truly found the one that was perfect for you!
I lost my precious husband in 2013, he was my life friend and love, I miss him so much, he changed my life for the best and now I’m alone and feel so lost and unneeded. I’m so thankful for your YT channel and watch every time y’all are on. Much love to all humanity! 👍❤️🙏🇺🇸
Brooke I have been through Exactly what you experienced. I can't do trains, planes, boats, buses or carnival rides. Turns out I have an inner ear imbalance and the non drowsy dramamine doesn't sit well with me either. Gingerale helps. I can sympathize so much. Glad you are feeling better. So sorry your travel was so miserable. Watching Jason with Nugget after you got home was so touching. You guys really love your animals. I watch every podcast and video.

I'm with you on that! I've found that the wrists ban's have help.
Have your ears checked that might be the problem.
Brooke I do the same thing but my doc ordered me what they call scope patches that change out every 3 days behind each ear. Lifesaver.

Brooke the first time I flew I was 58 and went to Australia. I flew from Des Moines, IA to Dallas TX then had a long layover in Los Angeles. Then flew from Los Angeles to Sydney Australia, that part of the flight ✈ was 15 hours. I went again in 2012.
Oh so scary. There are some sever storms with Tornadoes headed your way! Please be prepared and stay safe. Love y'all too much.
The non- drowsy meds have high caffeine substances in them and can make you sick shaky ect: You'd have been better off with nothing. Also sorry I missed this event the husband could not leave his security job. So no time off! sigh! Hope to meet you all soon. I admire y'all so much.

So glad you had such a good time once you got to Oklahoma. Brooke - I can fly fine, but I do get sea sick. If someone’s never has motion sickness, they just can’t understand how truly awful it is!! Plus when you’re in public, it’s embarrassing to boot!! I’m sure it feels great to be back on firm ground.
Hey Brooke….I looked up the side effects of Dramamine and it says the effects you had were serious ones. I would say you are allergic to it and don’t think you should take it again. I’m glad you feel better. When I took a cruise years ago I had a motion sickness patch behind my ear and did not get sick and the cruise was rough with lots of people sick. I got the patches from my doctor. Maybe something to look into.
I think many of us knew who MC was and was watching to make sure that she and all of the other kids were ok.
BTW if y'all come again to this area you might check to see if Birmingham has a direct flight to NWA. It's 45 minutes from pryor.

I'm glad you all had a great time. We had tickets and our hotel booked but had to cancel because our dog was very sick. He had kidney failure and went fast. We had to put him down Saturday the day of the expo. We do have a hotel and tickets for Petals next month. I am ready to meet everyone then. Love your channel.

Oh my goodness y'all are just tooooo cute. I've been through Pryor at least 100 times or more. Driving 69 Hwy on my way to Antlers, OK. I feel so bad that you get such bad motion sickness, so does my sister. Thank goodness you're better. So happy y'all had a good trip and are back home to the babies. As always 🙏❤😀
In 2003 I went with my daughter, on a short class trip for Graduation, on a small cruise ship to Canada. I was so sick. Finally on the way back home, I bought two wrist bands with pressure point buttons. Wow what a difference they made. No more motion sickness.
I know how awful Brooke feel's, I even use them to fly.

The smallest plane I have been on was 1 seat on the left ( when you sat down) and two on the right. It was a Prop job. You felt everything. I loved it.

As I'm so happy you got to meet Grandma and Grandpa Adults farm! I call them earth angels! I have been going thro so much since jan.11th.Its only my 14 yr.old daughter and myself. I have no family and no friends. God brought them into my life the same week our whole world was destroyed and our hearts were broken into pieces. I can honestly say I wouldn't have made it thru without them. Strangers miles away from us their care and love reached me. It felt like they held me up and gave me the courage and faith to be strong enough that I helped my babies girl throne she never knew that mommy was a broken mess. I thank god everyday for them and I will every day for the rest of my life!
I so wanted to be at the Okie Expo! I grew up in NE Oklahoma, but due to health problems we couldn't come to meet y'all. I live in Texas now. We say "the butt-crack of dawn" too! Love listening to y'all talk.

I'm so sorry you had motion sickness. I have had it my whole life and have learned to get the patches that go behind my ear. I put it on and am ready to go the next day. It helps with the car and flying, not so much with boats. I wish you all well. It's called scopalamine.

I just want to thank the three of you for sharing your time to talk to me! I even got to speak with Mary Carl, the Pigeon Master!!! Her face lit up when I used those words! And Jason and Brooke you were both so wonderful!!! Brooke, I kinda wonder if you were so sick on the flight home because you hadn’t had a chance for your food to digest from the night before. When we sleep our stomach and intestines slow down (I’m a nurse) and since there wasn’t hardly any turbulence on the way back, I would lean towards that being the situation. On the way to the expo I think it was actual air sickness. I get so car sick that I have thrown up when I was the driver but come to find out it was probably a result of my Neuroendocrine cancer. I have been a little bit nauseated on a plane but never needed to use the bag. I also get pretty sick on boats (threw up lots while scuba diving and whale watching)! I’m glad you feel better Brooke and that your neck feels better! Best wishes and I hope to see you guys at the next one. Or I can come and help take care of your farm so you can go!!! 💛💛💛

Out of all the channels you are by far the best #1, Down to earth and what you see is what you get. These other channels are over acting and click baiting everyone all the time, Just be your self and don't go down their path

Brooke, I tend to get motion sick very easily, even just watching boats, etc on tv or watching rides at an amusement park.
I get a prescription from my doctor if I’m going to fly or go on a cruise. That prescription really works! The over the counter medicine doesn’t help me. It’s a patch that goes behind the ear and last for three days. It’s called TransDerm Scop (I didn’t spell it wrong). It’s a life saver. You may want to give it a try. I love your channel!

I remember a flight from Frankfurt Germany to Toronto Canada. I was on my flight Home. The whole 8 ours was a rough ride where the Plane was rocking all the way Home.I was glad when I put my feet on the ground at the Toronto Airport.

We came to AL for spring break. Truly enjoyed our visit. We attended church at Church of the Highlands - Grants Mill with our community RV group.
Brooke, I might have missed something, but I heard you saying you didn't eat. If you don't eat right your sugar will drop and it will make you very sick. It has happened to my wife several times and she even passes out. Glad you made it home. God bless.

A way to test if it’s the Dramamine is to take it on a day when you’re not going anywhere. If you get sick, that’s definitely it.

Same dizziness problem, different because I get motion sick after driving 2 hrs. It's like I drank a six pack beer. You are lucky to drive without motion sickness. You have my sympathy for sure.
