That beginning scene where he drinks a glass of raw eggs is actually a reference to his favorite movie "Rocky" Steve said in another video called "What is Steve from Blue's Clues up to today" that his favorite movie of all time is Rocky which is why he named his pet Boxer Dog Micky after Rocky's trainer. In the movie Rocky, Rocky wakes up in the middle of the night and walks up to the fridge to crack some eggs open in a glass and drinks it. The jogging is probably a reference to the jogging scene in Rocky as well.

Oh god that's true for me. I was Sheldon as a kid, only not quite as smart. I was way ahead of other kids in my school who were my age academically (I was a year ahead then, and I have a PhD now), but absolutely CLUELESS socially. Young Sheldon is NOT an exaggeration in my case. I really talked like that. I actually did a lot of what Young Sheldon does. I walked into a room full of people who were talking or whatever to announce importantly that Carl Sagan had said something or other that no one in the room was interested in. At age 54, I'm a little more together socially, but still pretty inept. Watching Young Sheldon, after not having been a fan of the Big Bang Theory, is always a very emotional experience for me. I usually tear up at some point during each episode. They never seem to say it directly, but as a person on the autism spectrum, Sheldon speaks for me, and it's so powerful to see his point of view, my point of view, portrayed so sensitively. I never knew there was an actual song that was borrowed from to make the theme music for the show. I thought it was just the most brilliant piece of theme music composition ever! It perfectly compliments the subject, a boy who is capable of anything, who knows his future is boundless, and who hasn't been broken by his being such a misfit. In the piece used in the show, it's power, defiance, and a sense of self expressed so eloquently! Sometimes I tear up just by hearing the theme music.
