Sitting here watching this video 28 years latter i still remember at 13 the exact location time and place i was on this earth when my father came home at lunch time and told me SRV has died. I will visit this in the next month, 28 years has been to long for me not to pay my respects to someone of this magnitude!!!! SRV you might be gone from this place but will never be forgotten by the true fans of musician's!!!!!! 8/27/2018
Ive wanted to go to his resting place since ive moved to Texas, thanks for this video, i will definately go now to pay my respects to the Best Guitar Player Ever..
@jon Vig - I hope you got to make the trip back to pay your respects! @ Tim Page - hope you got to visit…if you didn’t I recently went, had a hard time finding SRV grave so made a video on how to find it if you haven’t gone yet! SRV forever ❤️
Missing Stevie Ray Vaughan ..The greatest electric guitar player and singer that ever lived..taken much sooner then expected while he was an entertainer and the best that ever picked up a guitar..taken young in life but..NOT FORGOTTEN.
A humble human..God kissed your fingers and said play Stevie play.. In all your eternal glory..rest in heaven..beautiful and kind soul. Tears 29 years later.
😭 That Made me Cry..I Love Stevie..I Watch his Concerts Everyday..Yes He Was The Best Guitar Player in The World.. He's in Heaven Now With Jim Hendricksi & Their Jamming!! I Never seen this Before , Upsetting as it is, Thank you For Sharing...God Willing I Will See SRV in Heaven One Day...God Bless Him & His Family...🙏😔😉💔❤❤🎶🎵🎼🎸🎼🎤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Growing up as a kid SRV passed when I was 7 and when I was about 11-12 my dad got me into SRV but I didn't really pay attention or notice him mention SRVs passing.. I didnt know in 1990 it had only been maybe 3-4 years after that I got into SRV.. I just knew he had passed but I didnt realize how recent it was in relation to when I got into him.. i am 37 now and I still love SRV and SRV was my dads fav guitarist.. he always had SRV blasting in his truck. SRV was to him and will always be to me the BEST guitarist hands down.. RIP Stevie..
What’s eerie is the silence and his tombstone definitely reminds one of the finality of death. Peaceful yes but also eerily quiet! For someone who made so much music it’s strangely quiet. RIP SRV
Stevie Ray Vaughan. I was living in Auckland when I heard the sad news of his passing. Had a 20 minute silence. Glad I got to talk to him. Another Blues Legend gone
Was just there a few days ago! I love playing Stevie’s songs on guitar, and I’ve always wanted to pay my respects to him. Made the 14 hour trip from Illinois, and it was totally worth it. Wasn’t as green as it is in the video, but it was very peaceful and fitting for a guy like Stevie.
Out and about in the world today is Stevie Ray Vaughan and his legend of music being one of the greatest blue's and Rock n roll legends is overwhelming to all the fans ..his music lives on ..never forgotten
@@joshlate7077 Hi Josh, You have a great video on your channel of someone's Stevie museum with some cool jazz music you added. Can you possibly tell me the name of the artist and dong or album? Thanks! Joe
@@joew2265 Hi Joe I wish I knew, I generated that video and added some jazz music to it and it sounded great but I am not sure of the exact song or artist if you can find out for me please post it as a reply as I would love to know myself. Thanks!
I seriously can't get into my system that this entertainer and such a good one as it was is deceased...after getting blue's and all he could absorb and then rock n roll and be the best guitar slinger..I find it tough to put it at at a rest when he was so Sprite and full of energy and had a reason to live and go further then he already went..RIP Stevie Ray Vaughan
@@willsirotak .....acc to his Wikipedia page he and his only wife divorced in 1988, Although, I do remember reading something about his intention to marry the woman he'd been partnered with at the time of his death.
See and feel that peace in him place of eternal rest difficult to forget that SRV live for The Blues remembering him with great songs, Texas Flood. Leave my Girl alone, Dirty pool, Tin Pan Alley among other blues it is very difficult not to remember so many concert and their music eternal rest 🎸🥁🎸🎹
I live near there. I'm in arlington. I wanna find out where this is at and go there. I think I will do that. He's the greatest guitarist in history to me. It took me a long time to chose one person for that title. It boiled down to the fact that every time I see footage of his concerts, the entire audience is glued to him, starring like in a trance, like "wow". pretty much the entire time. You get that with evh and others but it's brief, normally only during solos.
Legend above all legends I say.. been to hell and back and turned out better! Preformed better.. there's very few guitar legends and they're all dead!!!! The music however will live on forever..
I would love to visit his gravesite too so I can pay respect to him. Stevie Ray was a most phenomenal individual and blues guitar player. I know I miss him as well as countless others.
I would like to go there.. pay my respects.. he's the legend above all legends in my opinion.. and there's very few of them.. but there all gone!!! They're music lives on forever!
Go see it, its in the middle of the road where it splits off going one way east and west. An elevated plot in Laurelland cemetery in Oak Cliff, Texas. Who clicked the thumbs down? My guess is some asshole.
A former neighbor of mine was visiting family in the East Troy area that August weekend. He said he knew something very serious had occurred, bec of the police presence, news and emergency vehicles out and about in what is ordinarily a small, quiet (except for the concerts) agricultural community. I had to explain to him who SRV was, since my neighbor was of Beatnik age.
When I see this movie,I feel sorry for it, it's a lump in my throat ,I do not want to die ,so it's a terrible thing I hope one day to go hack to America is to put a flower on his grawe Roberto from Italy,

Yes it was quiet there..peaceful though.
The family picked out a nice estate on a island. It does look peaceful! A good final resting place.
Your right!
Thanks Steve for all the love you passed our way. I hope to meet you soon.
Thank you for sharing this touching memorial

Thanks for posting. It sure does bring it home and make it so real the sadness of it all. :'(
This breaks my heart to know Stevie Ray Vaughan entertained and performed for all his fans the last time ..
Live too far away to visit, this is on my bucket list.. Does make the eyes glass over 30+ years later. Only the best die young. Rock on SRV & DT.
Life is very short, you never know just how short. Enjoy what time you do have.

I live 75 miles north of Dallas. I’m lucky to be able to have paid my respects there. Buddy Holly and Elvis’ grave also.
Wow unreal to see it im not over it yet.
Love ya Stevie. Miss ya brother.
We must keep in mind his older brother is still playing. A great talent also... ""Ain't that tough enough""
Makes me sooooo sad😢
The day the music truly died....r.i.p....
It's a chance for us, living in brazil, to "visit" without going there,,,, otherwise, we would never see.......

It's Laureland, off of I35 and Laureland Road, southeast corner. Be careful there. ..rough neighborhood. South Oak Cliff.
I would love to visit his gravesite too so I can pay respect to him. Stevie Ray was a most phenomenal individual and blues guitar player. I know I miss him as well as countless others.
And there lies the legend..heavy

@Hard News TV 2 Mapquest says it's 6 mins by car but I am not familiar with that establishment.

Careful,.my dear friend is really close there....be respectful....
If you are not respectful in a cemetery then you shouldn't be there to begin with.
I should visit and lay guitar by the grave while reciting a prayer
Forever remember....
Wish it was cleaned.
The grave recently was cleaned.
Actually, a fan paid to have the surface of his marker completely refurbished. It looks so much better.
When most people die there forgotten this guy won't be there are good players then there's great players then there's feeling best ever
Him and his father died on the same day four years apart? RIP.
I noticed that too. It's my understanding he and his dad had a tumultuous relationship, much like the one marriage Stevie had.
May he rest in peace 🙏 Amen
I live in Oak Cliff I'm wanting to go pay my respects soon..
Saudades de sua arte 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks Stevie if you're traveling in da far north sky's 🌻 the limits RIP my man -^-
Пусть земля будет пухом ,этому человеку. Очень жаль ,что так с ним случилось.
In Oak Cliff not near Oak Cliff.
I live in oak Cliff never knew he was buried here. Do u know exactly where this is???
Sure I'm not great with the south Dallas suburbs.
He's laid to rest at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas. Off of E Laurel Land Rd.
And I35.
Nice Vid !!!
😞🎸😞🎸🎼🎵🎶
When he started advocating for self development and sobriety his power could no longer be controlled and the elites whacked him.
Whoa that's a little deep 🤔

I heard a fan recently paid for his stone to be refurbished.
He died August 27, same as his father. That's creepy.
