After rewatching this in August of 2023, it's definitely scary to think about all the other stuff Mr Beat is gonna have to talk about for the 2024 video. It might be hard to decide which one might be crazier, and we're not even a year before the 2024 election in this moment. There's already so much craziness with Trump running again and getting indicted four times 😂
I hope he shows and mentions the mugshot lol.
2020 has definitely been the craziest year of the decade, but 2021-23 have also been very eventful and crazy years compared to how the 2010s felt. At least to me
Maybe if Trump wins in 2024 and gets to serve another term, the madness will finally calm down. I myself am not a trump supporter, nor a Biden supporter, but I would rather see Trump win just so America can be a normal, non-cultic, non-hellscape again. If Trump wins, hopefully he'll do some good things for America like make the economy strong, instead of just focusing on the forsaken southern wall.

The election choices in the last two (and one future) elections:
2016 - Two candidates who were deeply flawed, none of whom I had confidence in.
2020 - Someone who I was a bit concerned with if he won the election, versus someone who I was very concerned about if he won the election.
2024 -
Well, you will be disappointed because 2024 is going to most likely be a repeat of either 2016 or 2020 in terms of candidates with the way things are going. If it is a repeat of the 2016 candidates, the result will be the same as that year. If it is a repeat of the 2020 candidates, the result will be the opposite of that year.

Also lots of bellwether counties got it wrong just like 2016. Americas growing polarization is probably causing it. Plus democrats weakness among white working class voters and without college degrees.

I think the divisions haven't gotten worse since 2020. They've stayed about the same...maybe not quite as bad.

Someone may have commented this, but this election was the first time that Maine and Nebraska both split their electoral votes in the same election!
We kind of expected Maine's 2nd Congressional district to vote for Trump, which he won in 2016.
Biden won Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, which Obama did in 2008.
I also forgot to mention this in the livestream!
It's weird that in Nebraska The Republican won the house race and Biden won that district.
@@awxlio8496 I used to live in Nebraska back in the 90s and I can tell you it a solidly Red state. I lived near Omaha in a nice suburban neighborhood and mostly Republican voters abounded. It's downtown that's more blue.
Plus that RINO Sasse didn't help much.

@@mm-ez6xn That’s all fine but when you’re running for president the substance like policy matters. While I think Bernie had good policy it was the viability of it in congress that was empty. The messaging matters massively as well on that level, and can even win it for you like it did for Trump in 2016, but if you’re not good with the message and the viability of the policy is weak as well then you’ll lose.

How can one 11 minute video bring back this many emotions? I feel called back to the summer days of 2016 where I discovered this channel, binged this series, and excitedly waited for its completion. Every upload brought entertainment, information, and the beloved introduction. In typical American fashion, I began thinking about the next election as soon as the 2016 vote concluded. Never did I think it would be as long, turbulent, and record-shattering as it was. There were periods in which I felt the best days were ahead, others in which it seemed we were inches from turmoil. And while I am disappointed that the process did not meet all of my expectations, I am relieved that it did not make the week of November 3rd and the day of January 6th as continuous as some suggested. Hopefully soon we can go beyond “getting back to normal” and instead create a more harmonious future. I certainly wouldn’t have been able to condense this video in a well rounded span like this. The timeliness of this video was done in a way that made it watchable, while still not skipping over anything too notable. That type of talent is impressive, and I’m glad to witness it. Thank you for being true to your word in making these videos for as long as it’s possible, and we’ll see you for the next presidential election, buddy. :]

The channel has shockingly grown quite a bit since you first started watching, but folks like you who supported me early on will always stand out as a huge motivation for me to keep going when things looked bleak for the channel at times.

The 2016 election was the first election I could legally participate in, and it was already a nightmare. In 2020, I sat as a college student having an existential nightmare wondering if the rest of my damn life as an American was gonna be like this.
Im going to be eligible for the first time in 2024, and its not looking any better
America has had moments of division many times throughout history, but after it all, we always reunite again for one reason or another. So I wouldn't worry about it, as intense as it seems right now.
