Been doing that for a good 20-odd years now.
I've used Macrium Reflect for this for years...boot from a USB stick, do the backup to an external HD, and you're covered.
How to do this? Can you share some videos on it ? Sorry I an a bit of a luddite.
Quality content thank you
You are the man Brian, you are so good to me without you knowing it... Love you man... Just got an Asus Vivo ook x515ea_f515ea and with your tips, did make lots differences... Taa 👍
Great review what do you think of laptop coolers ?
Is there any need to run a hard drive check for bad sectors with a new laptop,,,,for any manufacturing/shipping/droppage damage?
Even if it wasn’t sitting in a box, but made to order they install the OS, test everything and shut down…no updates.
Great video, altho I expected you to mention "make a backup ISO image of the window you get fresh with the laptop incase anything happens since its optimized for the hardware it comes with" or is that a false thing I know about?
13:19 What are you referring to here, so I can do some research on it?
Thank you
Does Open-Shell work in Windows 11 to improve the start menu?
Just bought a new laptop, and in the middle of following your instructions, I noticed backlight bleeding in the bottom right, it wasn't there before I even did the LCD test !
What to do now !
You should do a full review on Start 11
Will do
Great. Video I too like the windows 7 feel that you give on the tutorial. Don’t plan on gaming but do want to get a decent pc for multitasking. I’d have loads of screens open for sports / RUclips / word processing would you use a bigger monitor too for more work and visual space.
Any suggestions on what minimum specs I’d need ?
My new Dell laptop comes with licensed McAfee protection last for a year, so it wasn't a trial or anything. It wasn't heavy or affecting the laptop performance, so by God I just let it be to get my money worth!
First step was missed, did you use a windows or microsoft login ?
Hey thanks for the video, how good is this laptop for a hardcore gamer?
Very good, RTX 3060 so it should be great. I do a review of it.
@@Britec09 legend, thank you
First thing i do is wipe windows and install either Arch Linux or Fedora Linux with with KDE Plasma !!
i still image up the OS partition after I have finished tuning - so I can revert to a known good state without having to reinstall and redo the steps after a misfortune, its better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it...
1st time to do is Format C:\ and re-install a clean windows
What defender did you say we should get ??
Nice video Brian !! Thank you mate !!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
If you could review your L5 it would be Amazing.
Please make an updated version
long time viewer, thank you for all the great information.
Is there a simple way to identify bloatware to insure I done remove any necessary files or applications?
Many thanks
Thank u.
so we have to restart the laptop each time to properly use the MUX switch?
Chocolatey allows you to install more software than ninite, and allows app updates.
In removing McAfee is there anything else to replace it.
so hybrid mode is Mux switch? i didnt understand that i am new in thios gaming world
Thanks a lot
Do you have to update Invidia driver as well?
not every laptop come with excessive amount of bloatware on them.
i bought a Clevo based gaming laptop, and except for the bloatware like candy crush that comes from Microsoft.
only other apps were clevo control center and few driver related apps like killer network and creative sound blaster apps.
so it also helps if you avoid getting laptops from those big manufacturers, but with those i would probably just reinstall fresh copy of windows.
Cool man great video ! However , I’m still stuck on command 1 , uhh this is the first window type product I’ve owned ,so I’m going to need a shorter leash on the blow by blow , I only know IOS ,android, and chrome os ,Little Linux but not enough to brag about
tq im trying this im noob to laptop!
I recently got the Lenovo Legion 5 ( Ryzen 5600H, RTX 3060, 17" screen). Soon after start using it, I noted that something was severly draining the battery while it was "turned off". The culprit was the mouse and keyboard wake up computer "feature". Turning both off amended the isue. I guess that this would affect any lenovo similar model. It Maybe be worthy to check it out.
Hi im experience that too. Can you direct me to how to go to that features?
@@nothman777 basically on Device Manager... look for keyboard and/or mouse... on the Power Management tab, just uncheck "allow this device to wake the computer.
@@nothman777 you can check before and after which devices are allowed to wake up your computer running thi command on the CMD: powercfg -devicequery wake_armed
