- I'm usually against using other people's/companies content, but just like so many other people who watched the film, I absolutely loved this track but wished it was longer.
Luckily for me, another youtube user, doctorford, made a cover version of the track which was much longer. I enjoy listening to both the official and cover versions, but I still wasn't satisfied.
So I downloaded doctorford's version for free from his facebook page and bought the official track off of iTunes, mashed them together with a few choppy cuts and transitions and wound up with this. It's not that good but it's how I imagine a full version of the song going, minus choppy edits.

Many Super Heroes wish they had a themesong as badass as this one. I'm glad Kick-Ass got a theme so memorable. I've been humming it so much in my head I had to listen to it. This song makes me wanna go be a Super Hero like Kickass.

i like the concept of being a hero by dressing up and helping people cross the street, with their groceries, shining light to crimes that aren't being dealt with, etc. but you could get yourself killed if you tried to be a real superhero. if you use force against another, if you restrain another, if you seize another's property without specific legal authority, you are committing crimes even if you're trying to do the "right thing".
Why is this theme better than almost every actually hero movies? 😂
Because the intention of the theme is pure.

This movie actually made a bigger impression on me than I thought. It always comes to my mind when someone says "what's your fav movie". And then I ramble on for a few minutes about movies and mention this one and the person asking is like, what was that again? NO ONE knows the genious in this movie, nor do they know it has the most awesome score ever.

As much as I love Strobe and Big Daddy Kills, they really belong in their own (awesome) movies. This, however, is a FANTASTIC theme for Kick-Ass, just so powerful and heroic, well befitting the final moment when he understands and becomes a REAL hero rather than the sad wannabe he'd been until now. He saves Mindy, kills the bad guy and flies into the sunset. "Ass-Kick" is no more. Arise, Kick-Ass.
