I feel this track very slyly harkens back to "Every Breath You Take" by The Police, from 1983. Just a small part of it's lineage, and just partly why we all love it so, perhaps ...
One of the best movies of the last 20 years. I think it started all the 80s inspired "retro wave" of graphic and music. A photograhy masterpiece. Also like the way he seems to wait 10 seconds before saying his (minimal) line 😂
This movie and this soundtrack helped me so much as a teenager. When I felt inadequate around my peers. I never felt comfortable even among my friends so most of the time I was on the side, listening to music and there was this girl too I felt She was way above me. I felt depressed and I thought I was supposed to be the opposite that I had to force myself to be like the other. Party, smoke and all that bs. Then I watched this movie with my brothers and I felt connected to the MC and I understood I had to be myself, his stoicism and reserved nature was so much like me. And turns out the girl liked me for that fact. I wasn't like my friends. So I got the girl and She asleep next to me right now 10 + years ago. Ryan Gosling became one of my favorite actors at that moment.
That scene in the elevator. The music, the lighting, it just gushes with the sense of longing. Both of them so torn by desire and by fear. But the Driver knows what he has to do, and he knows that after that moment, it will never be the same for them again. So he kisses her, and never sees her again.
I discovered this movie by luck back in 2016. I remember seeing the intro, and that song by kavisnky was so familiar, since back in 2014 i used to play gangstar vegas on an ipad, and that song was part of its soundtrack. In 2017 i got interesed in this movie and i loved it, especially its soundtrack. Thanks to gangstar vegas and this movie that i got introduced to the musical genre of synthwave, and i still love it to this very day. Hearing this song again after so much time brings me back into my early highschool years. Now im in college trying to enjoy life at its fullest.
My mom passed away around a month ago. Now I've noticed that life sometimes smashes you like a train at 100 mph. My sister has had mental problems, since late 2019 she was diagnosed with psychosis and my sister that I've known since my earliest memories is completely gone, her personality is gone. And now that my mom is gone too, I'm now the only one with those memories of the times the 3 of us shared together. The grief is overwhelming. Life sometimes is a giant piece of shit.
love this movie so much man, soundtrack is goated and the plot is simple but executed brilliantly with brilliant cinematograpyhy all around, and ryan gosling, well he kinda speaks for himself doesnt he, extraordinary performance
Ryan Gosling, human story movie, and synthwave, the feelings!!! Very good video, I love this intimate beat and that melancholic video, they take me to a world full of hope where for a moment everything is fine.
Establishing a meaningful connection with a significant other sometimes invites more unforeseen trouble than a solitary hero can ever bear, at least until he is ready to drive.
25/9/2022 I just watched Drive and man what a suspenseful and action packed film... Ryan Gosling and Bryan Cranston smashed their roles and performances and so did everyone else. It really was a thrill of a ride wherever the driver went I felt like I was with him. Felt sorry for him in the end because his passion of driving and having a car was caught up with the wrong people who were using his talent of driving to set up robberies and commit crime making him lose those closest to him. But the ending caught me off guard. It was a quick and short film which I wasn't expecting but 10/10 apart from that. DRIVE I love that film now still blown away and taken back. Also the music hits my taste and era of music I enjoy : 60/70s/80s/synthwave music.
I knew the song before I knew the movie. I only found out last night while watching this was the main track to it - perfection. Absolutely fantastic movie and the soundtrack is just beautiful. Nothings perfect, but this song and that movie come close ❤️👏
This song really hit me hard! I'm in high school and I really like one girl but she's dating a guy who just wants to use her and doesn't respect her, at the same time it's quite serious, he's ruining her life but I can't help her. Her family tries to help her but she is blinded by love. if I ever see her, just like Ryan Gosling I reward her with the smile she deserves for such a bad relationship. She knows what I'm thinking, and she knows I want to help her, but I can't. I'm trying but I can't do more. When I feel empty because of that, I play this song. how many times does this song make me want to cry, especially when the chorus starts, then I feel hopeful and glorified for my actions
I would like to take the moment to thank everyone here for taking the time to scroll by after watching the movie, It was an Honor getting to play the Driver and im glad he clicked for you all
This song relates to those who are not wished happy birthday but it then in the end they dont care, they are smart enought and mature to know it and just let it go.
I really relate to the driver just with his socially awkwardness, I have a job as a real estate agent and even one of my clients was like you’re pretty quiet for a real estate agent 😂
Losing my friends at an early age and best we had great wonderful car rides that i cannot explain and for em to be gone. The pain inside is like they with me forever but i can't see em. Few locked up. Just want you to know my pain.
I first watched this movie back in 2022. I had my gf that year too. She had a very painful life, because of her parents and family situation. I always knew I couldn't save her from depression, But I was very inmature and unexpert. I tried hard to be her "hero". Sometimes I managed to make her feel better about life, by taking her to nice places and telling her how special, smart and beautiful she was. (Still is). This song always reminded me of her, also because I was obsessed with Drive during my relationship with her. So, in my head, it was kinda like the sountrack of hanging out with her, taking her out and all of that. We broke up later, it was devastating for me. Not only for losing her an for what happend (we had an discussion and she said very horrible things to me, for a misunterstanding that later on was denied)m but because I felt a void in my heart for not being able to make her happy. I felt very guilty for all the bad things in her life, even though non of them was actually my fault. Today, after almost 2 years of our break up, I dared to listen to this song, waiting for the tears to come. But by surprise, I could go through the entire song without feeling any lump in my throat. I actually feel really happy that I was able to achieve this. After months of pain, sadnes and tears, I can finally say I'm walking towards getting over this actually. I still feel a little attached to her, but way less than months ago. I feel happy that she is with someone else, because she is still alive and moved on. But I'm even happier that I AM moving on...

This film with a mythical atmosphere and music that takes us for a stroll in the nostalgia of the 80s, years of youth....
This song is so amazing that it's always playing in my head
One of the best movies of all time imo
Listened to it on repeat for 3 hours, need to get out of bed and cant 😂
Trust me me too the only thing I listen to this song been stone 😂
The movie started with him Driving and ended with him Driving. What a movie 👏👏👏
The best memories...
He saved her life, and killed his chance of happiness 😢
Reminds me of the best days of my life ... 🌞🌸 So long ago
It reminds me of an early, sweet, intense love, when I was a young woman...
Hope you are doing well now.
Devastating, melancholy beauty in this song.
I love how the lyrics of this song is basically the plot of Bladerunner 2049
Just sold my 2016 sti and am flying out to MN tomorrow to pick up my 2022 Camaro SS 1le Track package. This will be the first song I play in the car.
This song is great but it is one of the best ever when you hear it live. Look it up. it's almost like a different song.
love this movie so much man, soundtrack is goated and the plot is simple but executed brilliantly with brilliant cinematograpyhy all around, and ryan gosling, well he kinda speaks for himself doesnt he, extraordinary performance
Спустя 2 или 3 года всё же нашёл эту песню, а поиски начались после просмотра видоса про варп
Even many of us that are 50+
love this kind of stuff.
😎
I'm Japanese.
I love this movie too.
This video is a very good thing bro.
Thank You! ❤
There are lot's of asian movies (also Japanese) on my channel; if you liked this you should definitely check them out! ✌
non non pas de japonais dans ce film
Ryan Gosling, human story movie, and synthwave, the feelings!!!
Very good video, I love this intimate beat and that melancholic video, they take me to a world full of hope where for a moment everything is fine.
Zajebisty vocal i zajebiste syntezatory film też fajny .Nie ma się czego wstydzić .
Carey Mulligan really has a face that you just can't help but fall in love with at first sight.
I think the words of the title are the most beautiful thing you can hope to hear about yourself in Life.
From France ❤️
Establishing a meaningful connection with a significant other sometimes invites more unforeseen trouble than a solitary hero can ever bear, at least until he is ready to drive.
Saw drive yesterday for the first time. This movie is so fantastic.
Just watched it there the now good film like
25/9/2022
I just watched Drive and man what a suspenseful and action packed film...
It's so cool, I had a place I could go like that, thinking back as a kid it was really nothing, but now as an adult it was very Special now..
❤
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SONG EVER MADE! AND THE BASS IS CRAZY, IT WILL HAVE YOUR WHOLE BODY SHACKING!
❤
Интересный фильм. Размеренный, без лишней суеты, но и драйва в достатке.
I have to convince my Russian girlfriend to watch this but she doesn’t speak English 😂
@@mohddawod2545 just use subtitles till watching
А таких моментах ебать надо. Че сопли жевать. Хоть лифт
When I feel empty because of that, I play this song. how many times does this song make me want to cry, especially when the chorus starts, then I feel hopeful and glorified for my actions
that's a real human being
Hooefully she realized how lucky she is to have you
Not a Gosling fan myself but he was phenomenal in Drive & Blade Runner 2049.
for me, one off the best movies ever
I would like to take the moment to thank everyone here for taking the time to scroll by after watching the movie, It was an Honor getting to play the Driver and im glad he clicked for you all
This is an awesome movie!
Great acting, soundtrack, American with European tones, perfect blend!
There's a reason why 80s music has been revived here ....drive was made in that era .
This song relates to those who are not wished happy birthday but it then in the end they dont care, they are smart enought and mature to know it and just let it go.
Soundtrack, cinematography and acting all ahead of time, so futuristic. Still I'm amazed seeing this movie, it's a vibes.
Drive needs a sequel. Unfinished business 😢
Cast, acting, script, music.....this movie is a timeless classic
I really relate to the driver just with his socially awkwardness, I have a job as a real estate agent and even one of my clients was like you’re pretty quiet for a real estate agent 😂
The most human thing we can do, is fighting for the right cause...
Let's make our lives better this new school year guys.
I've seen "Drive" twice. Now I feel like seeing it again.
Losing my friends at an early age and best we had great wonderful car rides that i cannot explain and for em to be gone. The pain inside is like they with me forever but i can't see em. Few locked up. Just want you to know my pain.
Best song ever and those two should of dated their chemistry is off the charts in this movie ♥️♥️
C'est fou ce que cette chanson me donne des ailes , pour voler haut dans le ciel, et me sentir libre comme l'air 😊
Anyone in 2024?

No.
I completely agreed with u Bro... The same story happened 9 years ago...
@@ibend its hard bro. Sometimes I don´t think about her, but sometimes I wish she was still here. How did you manage to get over it?
one of the best songs to drive and to motivate aswell
