At the same time, the movie has a love theme that is not corny and cheesy like in 3/4 of such movies. It is beautifull and really relatable. It shows a real feeling. It was a great movie- yet it was slow as hell at times and surreal, because people don’t act that way in real life. I enjoyed how little dialogue was used (especially by the barely mute and seemingly autistic main character) but wish the story would have explained the main character and his strange behavior/difficulty interacting with people.
Music can create emotions and reach places within that simple words cannot. It’s one of gods favorite ways to spread his light and get you to listen to what needs to be heard.
Felt like I've heard this song before because it feels somehow nostalgic. But I can't remember listening to this song back then. Also felt the same with the movie too.
It makes me feel like i want jerk off and stole mustang and rob a pawn shop with woman and guy with black glasses and i'am in white jacket with scorpion logo 💪😎
This song is about Chelsey "Sully" Sullenberger. Not long after takeoff, the plane he was piloting struck a flock of Canada geese, causing power loss in both engines. He realized he couldn't make it to any airfield, and made an emergency landing in the Hudson river. All 155 passengers survived because of his actions. He's a real hero.
@@stanpines9011 just look up for the lyrics, there are these lines: "A pilot on a cold, cold morn' One-hundred fifty-five people on board All safe and all rescued From the slowly sinking ship" and that says it all.
LOL, child please, you obviously didn't grow up in that decade, and proved your ignorance as you can't tell this sound apart from 80s synth/techno/electro pop. New wave is a very broad term, what the hell are you talking about? Just because some modern day band uses synths it doesn't mean they are emulating the 80s. It'd be like claiming that any band that uses electric guitars today would sound "exactly" like 60s rock. FFS get some education before talking and embarrassing yourself further.
zimzimzalabim You don't have to be grown up in the 80s to know how the music sounds. You just need to listen to actual 80s music - and voilá, whether you've grown up or not in that decade is somewhat irrelevant to the discussion.
"stop using hard words, it makes me mad when I have to look at my hooked on phonix book to understand people" Just because you have the vocabulary (OH SHIT ANOTHER HARD WORD, BREAK OUT THE DICTIONARY) of a first grader doesn't mean everyone else does.
US airways airways flight 1549 was involved in a plane crash , landing on the hudson river. This flight was regularly scheduled coming from new york city's LaGuardia airport to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, North Carolina. On Janurary 15, 2009, the Airbus A320 serving the flight struck a flock of birds shortly after takeoff from LaGuardia, causing it to lose all engine power. Chelsey " Sully " Sullenberger and Jeffrey Skiles made a ditching in the Hudson River. All 155 people aboard the plane were rescued. However, 100 people were injured. In this song the plane is reffered to as a ship simply because it was a floating vessel holding many passengers in the water. This song is based off Garrick's grandfather on the topic of this plane crash. Reffering to Sullenberger as a real human being and a real hero.
Driver was an Anti-hero in a post super-hero world. No one knew who he was or where he came from. He was the scorpion. a cold, calculated, powerful assassin. He wanted a new life. tried his best to fit in and be a good person and utilize his skills to make a decent living. he grew to love people, something that was foreign to him. and at that point all he wanted to do was to protect them. to do that he knew he had to become the scorpion once more. he wore that jacket as his armor. it made him fearless. gave him strength to tap into the darkness within him to do what was necessary. he didn't care about money. and Ultimately, his willingness to put others before himself made him more than just a scorpion. it made him more human than most, and it made him a true hero. the stab wound didn't kill him because the scorpion jacket was his armor. He realized this as he sat in the car, that he couldn't run away form who he was. he accepted it, and decided to move on, no matter how much it hurt to leave those he grew to care for.
0:36 the chills i get throughout my body are unreal when that synth starts playing, it's a feeling of pure nostalgia, glimpses of my childhood and good simple times where we were just living ❤️
Did you know, that this song is dedicated to the American passenger airline pilot Chelsea Sullenberg, who on January 15, 2009, after stopping the engines, managed to land the plane on the water, saving the lives of 155 passengers?
You learn something new every day , cheers B.B , from his wiki page : "The 2010 song "A Real Hero", by French electronica artist College and the band Electric Youth, is about Captain Sullenberger and the Flight 1549 water landing. Frontman Austin Garrick was inspired to write the song by his grandfather, whose reference to Sullenberger as "a real human being and a real hero" became the song's refrain"

I have actually seen College live. Back in 2016 in a 40m² completely black room beside an university. Less than 20 people in the audience, all sitting down. 1 hour of DJ set with no break, no talking, not even a simple look up at the people sitting around. That was a weirdly intense experience.
If you have empathy and can read emotions on someones face. This movie says so much more than any scripted dialog could have possibly conveyed to the audience.

I'll never forget that moment in my life. I was on a road trip with my girlfriend at the time and her family. We stopped in Montana to see a national park. It was just me and her. Alone together. It was the height of our love for each other. A time of self discovery and real love. Something I never really had for a long time. I cried in her lap. Tears of happiness and sadness. At the end of the movie, we see a purehearted person in front of us. An image of a real human being, and a real hero.
Perfect description. This is how I feel too. Going into it I thought it would be a really intense action movie but it was not like that at all.

It was a great movie- yet it was slow as hell at times and surreal, because people don’t act that way in real life. I enjoyed how little dialogue was used (especially by the barely mute and seemingly autistic main character) but wish the story would have explained the main character and his strange behavior/difficulty interacting with people.

Holy shit, that is so cool!

Because culture and music specifically is cyclical. The 80s was all about synth and electronic sounds which is what comprises most pop music today.
It's hard enough to nail down the 80s sound without sounding like parody, but to get that much emotion out of a synth is just amazing.
This does not sound like the 80s though. This is what 90s kids think the 80s sounded like. So in a way, it is a parody / re-imagining.
zimzimzalabim Lol what are you talking about this sounds exactly like late 80's synth/new wave . You're delusional if you think it doesn't
Batman
This really isn't how 80s music sounds like.
It has some similarities though.
zimzimzalabim
You don't have to be grown up in the 80s to know how the music sounds.
You just need to listen to actual 80s music - and voilá, whether you've grown up or not in that decade is somewhat irrelevant to the discussion.

He realized this as he sat in the car, that he couldn't run away form who he was. he accepted it, and decided to move on, no matter how much it hurt to leave those he grew to care for.
well damn..
