Erika Lee I'm a black Trump supporter, I'm not mad. Cohen was facing over 10 years in prison for crimes committed unrelated to Trump, he got 36 months. That's a sweet deal. All he had to do was not just sing, he had to compose as well. Mueller can't use him as a witness, any good prosecutor would chop him up in a minute. Cohen is an absolute snake. He knew he had committed crimes and using Trump was the only way he could get a lenient sentence.

With regards to this investigation, I see a huge double standard. Hillary was investigated for a crime. Having classified government documents outside of the government is illegal. Such a statute actually exists. Hillary got away because the Obama DOJ and FBI top officials didn't want her indited. How do you explain the fact that none of her aides was ever put through what Trump's people have been put through? Nobody in her circle was ever charged with having lied to federal prosecutors despite the fact that they did.
With Trump there was no crime, there is nothing like "collusion" in the constitution. Such a statue simply does not exist. This whole investigation was an attempt to find a crime. The investigation was done to look for a crime. Cohen was collateral damage and when you get caught, you implicate a person of more interest than yourself. You not only sing, you compose if you have to. Alan Dershowitz, probably the most respected scholar of USA constitutional and criminal law explains this very well.
Unlike you I'm not blinded by my hate for Trump. Your blind loyalty to the democratic party is the reason why the native black population in the USA never seems to get ahead. A choice a lot of men are making these days, if you've noticed. Some are wearing it better than others, but it's risky. I think the jacket is a lot better than some of the plaids I've seen on others. Having said that, I'm not a fan of the look myself, but this number is one of the least offensive.
Also, you're on TV in a very big way for a very big deal in history. Should you go with the fad of the day or something that will stand the test of time? It's hard to say. I mean, I've got prom pictures that did not age well. They were from a moment in time, though, so it's kind of cool to look at them. But this isn't about me, it's about a plaid jacket. It is very common for this to happen when the crime was non-violent, there is low flight risk and bail was already granted. The convicted person will be given a date to report to jail and is free on their own recognizance until then.
Paul Manafort had to sit in jail even before his trial and went straight to prison after the sentencing.

I don't know how much credence to give to Cohen's words. His crimes were also related to his criminal activities related to taxis he owned as well as 12 other clients he cheated. He was caught. Only time will tell if he's truthful or a slimy guy who will do anything to lessen the penalty for his crimes. Feelings against Trump are divided in this country. So many support him & so many have never accepted the loss of the election thus hating the president. Many reject Cohen's claims & many are gleeful that the president is under attack. Most telling is that Cohen, by his own words, sees himself as an avenging character who will redeem the world. This from a lawyer who should have been more ethical in his private business dealings unrelated to Trump makes me skeptical of anything he would say. Will be watching what happens.
Would it not behoove him at this point in time to tell the truth, if anything if he continues to cooperate and tell the truth it would possibly be beneficial in reducing his sentence even further, no? If he lies to them he could be prosecuted again and would surely lead to more jail time. I don’t know, but plenty of people believe he’s lying...I’m not sure how I see that would benefit him in anyway.
