Spot in mate, i have the Hannibal set on pre order as a commission. I would luv to see the Carthaginians and i would particularly be interested in the colour you would use for these 👍👍
Watched a RUclips video from Stuart, Miniature Realms painting the Romans last week. After watching his video and yours my mind is in a turmoil. Should I take the plunge and go with Warlords hail Cesar or stick with Cromarty Forge STL files 🤔 I think cost may play s part in my final decision. While STL files are cheap to buy the cost of getting figures printed is not. The Advantage of the files is that I can get the minis printed at my preferred scale of 20mm and the variety of poses is good. On the other hand, with Warlord games your buying an army in a box.
Absolutely mate, that is the thing you have to toss up. The Hannibal starter set is bloody expensive 😳 they're lovely though and you get an entire army and it's opposition in one box which is a great incentive.
Chromarty forge miniatures are historically more correct than Warlords' and you get full miniatures, not miniatures in halves like Warlord Romans, which lets you put them in bases as you want. When people get to paint them they will realize that this invention is not such a good idea as it seemed. If they are compatible with existing ranges I am planning on using Warlord miniatures to be in the rear lines and suply numbers.
@@paintingpanzers Honestly don't mind, hoping I get a sprue of the Celts with the next WI magazine to try them out, but any of them will do :D Is the scale the same as the ACW Epic stuff? Around 14mm?
@@smoessmee I have the Celts on the next batch ;) I hope you get that sprue too! I'm not sure how they compare to the Epic ACW miniatures as I don't have any but I'm assuming they'd be about the same height as they're the epic too?
Please use this link when ordering through Warlord Games, it really does help the channel 😉

A part of military often overlooked, at least by myself. These are remarkable looking molds and sets. I would enjoy seeing and learning more.
Absolutely mate 👍

Hannibal set as a commission job?! My god, you'll be busy 🤭 thanks buddy, your vote is noted 😉
Carthaginians for sure, just so more variety!
I think so too! 😉
After comparing these miniatures to the Cromarty line by Plastic Soldier Company, Warlord could have done a better job with those shields
Oh really?! I'm yet to see what PSC offer on that front. Thanks for the tip!

I'd love to see the Celts painted first :)
Carthage Spearman and Spanish Infantry will be first. Then the Celts I'd say 😉

I loved this... but the carthaginian units are sooo varied they activate my OCD 😅
Hahahaha I can definitely understand that 🤣
The blocks of roman soldiers look relly great. Should speed up things a lot.
Absolutely 💯
I hope they do shield decals
They do 🙌🙌
