- Ubtech’s latest robot is a cleaning machine meant for schools and small businesses. It’ll use UV-C light to disinfect at a hospital grade level and has a stationary and autonomous model.

and for schools that cant afford it, theirs a lightbulb trolley the janitor can push with a long extension cord
Supermarkets here in Bangkok have been using something like this since the start of the pandemic.
blah, you could build this for $1000, just mount a UV-C light array to a Roomba!
I can already see kids kicking it and/or trying to hack it 😏
Just pay cleaning personnel to clean the schools everyday. Then teach kids the basics on personal hygiene. Heck teach adults the basics on personal hygiene. Some adults still don't wash their hands after using the rest room. smh.
You Sir are using too much common sense. How dare you!?
I'm surprised ppl wear their shoes indoors
>Giant cylinderdrical white robot with skeletal structure of lights
>Reminds me of a Monolith
What?!
So JUST 40k for using it at home?
It's a nice idea, but it looks like most people are infected by breathing in the novel coronavirus from the air, not by physical contact. At one point I saw a suspect rate of total infections of about 6%. Honestly, schools should use this money to buy masks and cleaning supplies. Better yet, by your kids laptops and KEEP THEM HOME! They might not be at high risk, but their parents, teachers, and communities sure are!
Personally, I would rather use this light to clean my city water.
Except the light doesn't stop all those chemicals added by my lovely water company... 😳
So back to the drawing board.
how is that scary? why do reporters still do this? a scary robot? how? how is that scary? it's needs a human to turn on!
That's exactly what we need at home and work. Thank you for the update, CNET..!!
Spaghetti
Too expensive. Would need insurance on that
It can be used at your home for $40k? DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE! who wrote that for you? please tell me you didn't write that
😂 it looks like an enemy straight outa splatoon 😆
i have a wall plug in UVC light air filter ✨ in the kitchen 😤 it clears the smell of food so fast
I bought a mini UV lamp from XIAO Mi for my car.
I wondered, why not just install the UV lamp with normal ceiling light and set timer to switch on it.🤔
When watching this I actuall got an add for a non robot version from a competition brand🤣🤣🤣😂
Using the right frequency of hz you can do almost anything to manipulating DNA strands to curing common disease and killing viruses
Surprisingly I don't see any of those robots disinfecting in my state
Pretty sure the disinfectant sprays that they started to use on airplanes might be more efficient, cheaper and effective.
cool, but why does this need to be a robot?
Intimidated by a moving lamp? really? OK.😭😭😭
This is fantastic, but the cost could bye by town or at Regional schools. How can we get this information?
Robot locks you in room and kills you with UV light, nah, that could never happen. 😒
I can guarantee that my small business doesn’t have the budget for a 40 000$ COVID-19 killer
🤔

ThakYou
Do an update on RUclips plz when u do it. Thx
Super dupe grade robots are 4 quadrilion, so this is quite reasonable. /s
Ar they pulling prices out of... thin air to make this look like an ok product. I don't know how much a disinfectant UV lamp is but a normal CCFL light is a UV lamp coated with phosphor to convert the UV to visible light. So i guess not that expensive. And the base is a dumb vacuum cleaner robot with a bigger battery. I suspect a BOM of less than $2000. So this looks like greedy stuff.
Ridiculously expensive. Why not focus on affordable units that even small businesses and homes can afford? (Answer: Greed...as usual)
Why am I this early wtf
Oh I know!
Have light bulbs been invented yet that can switch between regular fluorescent and UV lights?
That might work!
Can you say autoimmune disease?
They put uv lights on a roomba and they want 40k for it.
With 40,000$ i could buy a Tesla
With 40k I could buy ...
well, I could buy all the stuff I need to keep living!!!
Tesla not included 😬
coronafake
is it verified that it can kill the virus?
I had a nurse friend tell me it doesn't kill Corona.
But, I have no proof.
"Feels like a big expense"? Really? 40k is a big expense? lol JUST STOP NOW
4TH
