I used to get my daily tech news from Bridget Carey's daily tech news channel on youtube. And I really miss that. Her pleasant personality makes the rigidness of tech news a lot more palpable imo.
Her expressions are priceless. It's like she's afraid of almost how that's gonna jump out of nowhere. It's great. Also great editing with music. Never have I ever commented on a CNET video on RUclips.
1. About a hundred years ago, I did a comedy act with a Radio Shack programmable robot name “Hero”. 2. But for the act, I called him “Robo-Comic”. 3. It was soon after the original “RoboCop” movie. 4. It’s physical design was impressive, but it was basically just a box with wheels under it. 5. I created a timed-script of my lines and the robot’s responses. 6. I programed his movements with the remote. 7. I recorded his lines with my best “robot voice”. 8. I had him rolling all over the table top! 9. I wrote excellent “robot-themed” comedy material. 10. The act was a hit wherever we performed! 11. The only problem was component quality. 12. The robot used a metallic tape cassette operation that totally wore-out after several replays. 13. I returned him for a new one three times. 14. After the fourth one died, I sadly decided to end the act. 15. The technology was there, but the component quality for the price point was just not practical for repeated professional use. 16. I am absolutely blown away with the new K-1 robot! 17. But my first question to the manufacturer would be about product durability & operational longevity. 18. The physical design, construction & detail of the K-1 seems very delicate. 19. I doubt it would survive totally intact if it experienced any physical shock to the unit. 20. The more complicated something is, the more things can go wrong with it. 21. As I experienced with the Radio Shack robot. 22. I solicit any expert advice on this product before I consider purchase-thanks! 👍🤖
Despite not transforming into a car or something, I like the freedom of movement it has compared to the other models👍. Very interesting how many chips & motors they packed into a small robot! 🤖
Could be cool if they had exposed apis or something you could hit from an app or scripts. But looking at their site it looks pretty basic through some in app tooling.
Anyone know if this is shipping? I can't get an answer from Robosen in any way. I've called, messaged on messenger and they've read it and not responded, emailed 2 times, wrote on a FB post, and asked on their RUclips videos. No customer service at all.
It would be cool if you could just let it free roam and do it’s own thing autonomously like some of these other robots that I’ve seen. But seems to me like it only operates on command.
How noisy are the servos? How long does the battery last? Can it carry an additional payload - e.g. a miniature wireless camera, for...various tasks (this also goes hand in hand with my first question)? Would be cool if it had an integrated low resolution camera -- so it can "carry out tasks" out of sight. And regarding range in general, how large is the command buffer (i.e. how many pre-programmed moves can it execute)? Also, my main/only concern is that the table top in the video provided a smooth surface (you could see the hands/feet sliding around, where they touched the table). This may have simply been an innocuous choice without consequence; or it may indicate that the servos may be underpowered (which, given the relatively speaking low price, the number of servos, and the size of the robot, would hardly be surprising). Definitely seems very cool -- I hope they make even more extravagant robots in the future.

I'd prefer if it was able to do something useful - like bringing me some small objects etc, but the "hands" don't seem to be able to hold anything. Those dance-moves can entertain someone maybe for a few hours, then what? - Money down the drain. Thumbs up for the video.
i do not like it . because it is to much close to human looking . We need better robots like the old robo raptor or a anthro robot , that has no resemblance to the human species on the planet. Delete all humans . and lets see more animal or dinosaur related robots , and dragons .

Keep up the brilliant work special during this hard time
The video is really entertaining, nice way to learn from a small scale..
that's how it started

What robot, all I could see was Bridget!
came for the robot, stayed for the girl.

I also like her presentation. Thanks
her : did he just twerk ? 2:01
Ok nice, but can this robot washing my clothing and washing dish?
This robot is soooo cool.
Not sure which impressed me more: the robot’s or Bridget’s moves.
I'm going to need the giant full size version of this to fight off the robot dogs that are going to try to kill us in the future.
Holding out for the ED-209 model.
The backflip is so satisfying
It reminds me of the Zeo Megazord.
$300 is nothing! I'd expect something like this to cost at least twice that!
I'm not impressed, I can do all of that. And I'm not even a robot.
Fact!
@@rizkiputra8505 don't believe theylied1776! That's what a robot would say! 🥸

She reminds me of pam from office
Very impressive when you consider this is not to much more than the cost of the Sphero BB-8 when that out. Impressive. Most impressive.
The narrator is surely enjoying this.
they need to make these where they can actually walk, throw punches and kicks. I would be versus against my friends all day
Whatever happened to the robots and the progress that was made on them 20 years ago?
They were all far and away better than this one.
This would be AWESOME to have but in a Larger Human size. It could help disabled people like Myself around the house.
Her: K1, execute Program Code, "Magic Mike Dirty Dancing".
I love her !

How much is that robot?
They start cute ☺️ lol
Yup. Eventually they will become big and not so good looking
I see robots and videos hosted by Bridget ... I watch the whole video
I wud HELLA put this robot's moves to the "one must fall" theme
Bridget I am in love with you 😂😍😂
LOL love the rap ending, good on you!
If it doesn't propose to you, I will
Cyberpunk should make the robot buggy
When the robot takes over the world: Dance Party!

Cool. Now if it could only pee beer.

Amazing!!!!
But can it pass the butter?
I saw this like 5 years ago
Where does it flip
Now if only I could program myself to be able to just do moves. Would save me years of training, LOL!
Price?
I'm surprised it didn't bug down when she hit Cyberpunk.
Very cool!
Good video
You were the true first one
Just let me have one. Thanks.

Can this connect to Google Home / Alexa? I can see a lot of potential, if it can.
I just fall in love to the girl
All of the dislikes are from that montage. 👍

It is not really more advanced then my Tomy Isobot from years ago. I am a bit disappointed that there is no more evolution.

you have to unlock things to do on a robot you already bought? F that.
First 2 min of this clip I'm already bored with this 7yr old kid robot. My kid will probably play it for a week, then it will be in the pile! LOL
