    Eric, love all of your content and a huge proponent of your tuners. Food for thought!!! have you thought about doing a podcast with a new shooter. I have been shooting PRS for the past two years and loading for the past 9 months I would love to discuss my experience. where do I get my information, what products did I purchase, what I think worksand my process. I would love your feedback as well as to see what a new shooter goes thru in getting started

    I am amazed that people slap a bayonet style chronograph in the barrel of a rifle while developing a load. they say that is does not affect the impact point of the load and now you said that carbon in a silencer (because of weight change) affect the tuning of a rifle. Glad that I never strayed away from common sense on things like this.

    • @MMBRM
      @MMBRM 11 месяцев назад +1

      100% safe to shoot but may not be as accurate as properly sized. May also have a different speed due to case volume(so reduce load if you're near the ragged edge). If you're shooting off the shelf ammo in a mass produced gun you're often going to have that much extra headspace.

    I am picking up a rest in a bit and I have been told the stock isn't wide enough for it, I know this and will have to resort to getting an adapter, will tracking still be an issue?

    Thank you.

    • @kyleaubu

      When he said "tight necks" he means they require neck turning thw brass. He does allow for .005" neck clearance but that's after he has neck turned.

    Are going to do any 300 win mag dies or are you just chilling with all the 6.5s out their. I love the 30cal bullets to the point I've made my own casting and pushed out to 2800 plus. Got good groups out to 300 yards. I wish I could go to a range that could actually let me touch the full potential of the loads I've been working on but you know how that works in the beginning lol.

    I usually just sit and watch your vids and gain what knowledge I can. Once we got to the 242 mandrel I got on the keyboard. I use the K+M arbor press with the force pack and gas flame annealing.
    My necks (Lapua) are cut to 0.0125". In order to achieve a 30 to 50 lbs force I have to use a 0.243" mandrel. The Needmore uses a 0.2645" to get that. My 284 uses a 0.284" mandrel.
    I had this conversation with Greg a few days back and all he said was new Video coming should explain. It did not. Any ideas? I was thinking I was not bending it enough to get the yield point correct but It looks like I am.?
