I particularly like the "vintage" repairs with the cotter pin and the bolt. Clearly this toy was well-loved. I am reminded of my Grandfather's efforts to fix some of my childhood toys (with varying degrees of success).
Thanks very much! thanks for watching! I watched your bulldozer restoration and subscribed to you. I enjoyed the video, looking forward to more. cheers!
@@onemansgarage6203 I've subbed you back hopefully it will helps you to grow. Oh yeaahhh the t9 dozer, well somebody ask me to do the movember theme on it that is why the blue color and the mustache, that dozer is actually a replica of the real movember dozer. Viewers says may new video is the best work so far, watch that one if you have the time for it. "vintage tonka tractor restoration" let me know what you think...? keep safe
I was extremely impressed with everything, the attention to detail, even fixing the manufacturer's mistake, ......but....then you broke out the spray paint. I know the powder paint is expensive, but worth it in the long run.
I had a 1963 Tonka dump truck that I would ride down the playground slide. Landing in the dirt at the bottom of the slide was not good for myself or the truck. I still have that truck today!
What a wonderful restoration! I don't mind the spray paint at all. After all they have spray paint for full size automobiles. And I didn't even notice any Shaking At any point in the video. Can't wait to see your next one!
Sorry for the late reply, this comment slipped by me. Thanks for the comment. I didn't pay any attention to what was written on the sticker but because of your comment I went back and looked at it. I should pay more attention. Thanks for watching! Cheers!
Un-sanded second primer coat. I just let the second primer coat dry, then wipe down gently with a cloth. That allowed me to apply the paint slower and heavier. thanks for the question and thanks for watching!
Super cool!!! Excellent work

A beautiful restoration. But, why not first remove the damage from the rust with putty?
I think the FTC sticker was the sales sticker. That sticky stands for the old Fredrick Trading CO. Of Fredrick Md.

With as much red paint as you used. What prevents sags and runs from developing?
