Error 404 for the above link. Shame. It would be nice to see the final product.
Said it before: I love your empirical approach ... 1 video =one thousand courses.
Thanks a lot! Very happy to hear that!
What I love in this video is using chopping knife as a reflector. Genius!!!
😁😁 thanks
Why don't more photographers subscribe to this channel. Great education and entirely entertaining. Thanks for your hard work.
John Robb Yes it’s a mystery... soon they will wake up 👍🏼🤣

Eric Thompson You’re very kind. Thanks 🙏🏻
im so thankful for your videos, its simple, it shows the process of how you get to the final best looking image, and your photo quality is premium (tbh, compared to other product photography tutorial). best regards to you!
You are so welcome!
Super amazing !!!!!!!!! Master you always have an ace under the sleeve!!!!! Bravo!!
Thanks Oliver!
You are simply fantastic Mr. Botvidsson.
Very kind!
Very usefull as always. Thanks for share your knowledge with us. I hardly can wait to see the process in photoshop!
Manoel Alves 🙏🏻 Thanks! Unfortunately I forgot to record the edit... I cut the video until 04:00 am tonight... I screwed up...
Martin, why do you not have more subs? So underrated. I so enjoy the way you present your knowledge - I learn so much from you. Thank you sir!
The RUclips algorithm has not kicked in yet I guess... 🤬 Very happy to hear that you found my channel. Thanks!
Love your humor and teaching style.
It's fun to take pictures! 🤣 Thanks!
Real wisdom here. Really appreciated!!

Wooooow! Excelent! You speak slowly. It helps us a lot; after all you are international! I'm from Brazil and my english is not good enough. But I always see your videos. Your work is wonderful! Thanks for sharing and God bless your life!
Renato Zorn Fantastic to hear that my videos are watched in 🇧🇷. THANKS!
I am a product photographer in China. Thank you for your great contribution. Hope your work will be known to more people in the world
Thanks a lot for the support!
Astounding way of breaking methods down into bite sized pieces , I have learnt so much.
Great to hear!
Hello, great explanation. I was a professional photographer in the 1980s. To make this picture you needed several sources of light and only a first shot. There was no photoshop, this software has revolutionized the techniques of shooting, it's exciting to observe this evolution.
I do like to shoot everything in one shot, but sometimes I get lazy and know from experience that it will go faster for me to make the final shot in post/photoshop. Thanks!
This video is awesome, helps me a lot to understand my continuous light. Thanks couch.
Glad to hear it! Thanks!
Really amazing result❤
The Makeup Series Thanks!
i fuking love this guy he is genius i am a freelance photographer and i have a studio so i will use his skill to implement in my project thanks for the free class .. 😁 may god bless you always
BIG thanks!
Thanks Martin and China another good one!!
Thomas James Thanks Thomas! Well, almost everything is made in China now days. Both my $5 Chinese chopping knife AND my new $5500 MacBook... 😉😎
Hi from belgium
Keep it up man, we learn more and more each time from you, thank u for sharing .
My pleasure! Thanks!
You know what, I left photography world but I can never skip your videos. ❤️
That is a good sign!
so simple yet so very effective shooting and teaching techniques. Thank you Martin not pronounceable name :) :)
Big thanks for watching! :)
Okay the countertop idea is genius. I struggled to find appropriate surfaces for my still life photography but this is a game changer.
It's good but very heavy 😁
@@botvidsson It's the size and scale I find very convenient. I often find myself shooting for post and spending a lot of time compositing multiple scenes together to get a larger composition.
I love all your videos ❤
Soap Deluxe Makes me very happy! 😃
Really love you videos! I'd love to see a tutorial on how to light a set scene if possible. Cheers!
Can you give an example of a scene? Thanks!
very very nice I like the way you read the light direction with I am in a love with this shoot GBU
Thank you very much!
Love it!
Big thanks!
Amazing. Thank you!
Thank you too!
I love Your videos Sir! I absorb knowledge like a sponge! ;)
Glad to hear it!
Awesome!Its really useful!
Glad you think so!
Awesome! A post processing video please! I can imagine how you might have done it, but particularly interested how you brought in the rimlight (or rimshadow?) on the left.
Did not record the post-video... that was stupid. Maybe I will do one anyway... if I have the time :)
@@botvidsson Ah, pitty. I was just wondering - you probably had to create a selection to bring in the shadow on the left, right? Because the background from that shot was not usable.
Great!!!
Great! Thanks! 😃
Thank you a lot!
Thanks🙏🏻
you are amazing man
You are very kind!
Man you Rock!
Olim G Well, thank you. You’re very kind.

I love the mirror
Thanks 😄
Alltså! best coffee trick ever!
Leo Bülow Really turned out great, I can’t stop watching 😂😎

Thanks!!

You're welcome 😊
HE'S BACK!
Sune Chee Yessss! 😎
i remember shooting something similar years ago , had to put a show for the clients, 3 lights , countless c-stands and white cards, cake boards, magic arms.... photoshop for dust..4 hours shoot
Yes, it's all about the show :)
I love your tutorials. Love from india!!
Can you do a lifestyle photography tutorial
I'm working on it, hopefully soon. Thanks!
Martin. Can you do a video on client acquisition and pricing? You are fantastic!
Great suggestion! Thanks a lot!
Thank you China.🤣🤣🤣😭 Great videos! Educational and entertaining. Greetings from Germany.
Big thanks, very kind!
Nice.. do you ever do speed edits? I know in the past i have gotten really lost with brushing back in stacked images images in post
Tom Parsons Yes I sometimes do retouching videos, and also speed edit... don’t know why I didn’t record this time 😤 Next time!
@@botvidsson mate do you have links for these or shall i stop being lazy and search :)
All my retouching videos under this playlist ruclips.net/p/PLKr6JYwsZSnTaHsalrZZr6_kK0xIwuppQ
HI Martin, Many thanks for all your content, I feel like I have learned so much from you. Your work has inspired me and I used examples of it along side my own to show my inspiration for my first year of my degree. I got a first too! For my second year I have to send some questions to an industry professional in my chosen field which is product photography. I wondered if it would be possible to contact you to do this if you have the time? No problem if you are too busy, I completely understand. Thanks for everything
Thanks, so nice to hear. October/November are very busy for me but if it's not to many and complicated questions you have I might find the time...
@@botvidsson it would be 5 questions, neither would need a long reply. It’s mainly about your role in the industry, for example. Did you always shoot products or did you start elsewhere in photography. How do you feel the industry has been affected by the pandemic, your best tip for anyone entering the industry. I can email the questions across if it helps and you can let me know if you can answer. I’m really happy to hear you are busy, I’m hoping it means we are getting more great content soon :)
Yes you can email and I will try to answer if I find the time. Use email on my website www.botvidsson.se
@@botvidsson Thank you so much!
I am thrilled how much you can get out of one light. Thanks.
Can you please share the link where to buy this Savage holder? It should have about 100x100cm. I can't find one here in Europe.
The Savage Translum Medium diffusion is attached to a Matthews frame: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/32823-REG/Matthews_539189_48x48_Flag_Frame.html?sts=pi&pim=Y
This is not the best solution I would say, better to get a smaller one maybe like you say 100x100cm.
In my Amazon shop ( link under all videos) I have 2 frames, maybe a bit smaller.
I buy Savage at www.cameranu.nl, only European shop I found, maybe they have frames too?
@@botvidsson Thanks Martin. I'll try there.
Excellent content as always. But I did waste about 5 mins trying to get a mark off my iPad screen that turned out to be your mouse pointer ? 😜
Hahaaaföäclxczvcx! Thanks!
👍😊
🙏🏻😃
What kind of smartphoneand mini is o holder is that?
As always very educational video.
It's an old iPhone 7Plus and the holder is a boom mic holder, probably from Rycote. It's not good, have a better now like a regular car holder for smartphones.
i am started to watching your vidoes randomly i didn't realize you are so cool. How can i be your student living in Poland?
Haha, thanks! For the moment I do not take any interns.
Incredible! What lens do you use for this shot?
Don't remember but probably it's the 24-70mm/2.8... or 100mm macro (Canon) THANKS!
Capture One says EF85mm f/1.2L II USM
Aha. Yes sometimes I use that for the video, don’t want the camera to be so far away. Not out of the video frame. Normally I use 100mm.
What is the clamp set-up you use to hold your phone on the stand?
I think it's a shotgun mic holder mounted on a stand
Sir which aplication use in you computar ??????? For see capture phote from camera
Capture One
Amazing vid but why the circle hole in the white reflector panel?
No reason, couldn’t find one without 😂
@@botvidsson ahh - thought it was maybe to shoot through in other shots or something. Thank you for the videos - much love from Scotland!
@@UXXV Yes you are correct, I made it for another shoot, putting the lens through the hole. :)
Will you link that work top?
Philip Andrews Go to the Ikea website and search for EKBACKEN. I think they still have it.
The camera is Canon 5D Mark 4, right? What is the name of the lens? I want to get the same one.
Yes it's the Canon 5D Mark IV and I use the Canon 85mm f1.2. Very expensive lens, you can also take a look at 85mm f1.8.
@@botvidsson Thank you for the quick response!!!
Would it be wise to focus on PHILIP logo than the Power button?
For the final shot think I sat the focus at the closest point, like the top part. So yes, you probably want the logo to be as sharp as possible. assets.adobe.com/public/7747afd3-c770-470a-7a93-cb846048e096
How did you do that introduction coffee magic?
Just simple reverse of the video 😀
Will try to use a knife as a mirror next time :D
Rafael Cavalli I know you can do it!! 😂
14:09 Here is mirror 🤣🤣🤣😭
Elizabeth Macharia 🤪😂
Haha thank you "China" you're a legend Martin
How do you procces the images together
I just open the 3 images as layers in Photoshop and put masks on the 2 extra images. Then I take the brush and paint in on the mask the details I want to add. Sorry, don't have a retouching video for this.
@@botvidsson Oke thanks!:)
Did my first picture today i dont have any flashlights or studio so used a LED light on batteries haha
You have any suggestions on buying so beginner gear for Sony user?
I think you should start by buying 2 studio flashes that fits in your budget+diffusion paper, then you can create almost any product photos. 😃 (Get used flashes)
What to say !
🤭
For 15 minutes he made $10K, I love this job!
Eh, what?
Thank you China ! HAhaha

What are those things your using for table stands?
Its 4 C-stands without the arms, probably the most expensive table stands in the world... 🤣🤣 This one: www.amazon.com/dp/B002J9915A/?ref=exp_botvidsson_dp_vv_d
菜刀笑死
Kitchen knife... You want me to photograph?
Or do you mean in this video - the Chinese chopping knife 🤣
