The headwind a330 is really good. The one thing that makes me not fly it more often are the many a320 systems and more importantly the overhead still being that of an a320, once they release that I’m sure I’ll fly it a lot more!
I am certainly going to stick with Headwind A330, i have enjoyed it and i feel the FBW controls are more than good enough for point A to Point B everyday flights.
I flew the latest update only a few hours ago and I’ve already decided the Aerosoft version won’t be making an appearance in my hangar - especially knowing HW are also planning to bring the 800 variant and also improve and deliver the PMP ceo versions at a later date.
Thank you for the video. I really enjoyed watching and enjoy flying the Headwinds A330. I totally dodged the LVFR release in hopes that Aero soft will release their version soon. I am sure it's a learning curve as your lead developer leaves and you attempt to remove some old code that will really clean everything up and enhance performance. I have to be honest, however; if and when the Aero soft version is released, I would only purchase if it had a good rendering of the passenger cabin. I do enjoy the visuals as I hop on the plane, and it seems it has been trending up past the years. I know it's totally useless, but when there is such stiff competition .... time and effort in the product will be worth the spending of the currency. I am still in Awe that headwinds released such an amazing plane. It's true that the cockpit is not 100% true to the real A330, but it's something we live with as they continue to impress. Blue skies my friend. Always insightful and look forward to your updates.
Really like flying this plane and hope that soon it will be even better. Is there a decent performance calculator for this model somewhere available to download?
The Aeosoft release schedule is business as usual for aircraft developed by them. Their A32x series for the P3D v4 was announced soon after P3Dv4 was released, and came towards the end of the release cycle of P3D v4. The only thing the Aerosoft should have better than the Headwind team is modelling and textures. The only hope for a more detailed A330 is if Fenix choose to make one, of the FSL release theirs for msfs.
hello man, I hope everything is fine, I wanted to hear about the headwind a330, so you mean that "reliase" is better and more advanced than pre-reliase?
Thanks for a great vid after which i have updated by A330 as you advise. The A330 s very good in many ways, but it has one flaw I have never been able to fix and that is the throttle calibration. Basically I find the engines go into reverse before what should normally be the idle position . This means I have to balance it out all the time I am taxiing. I have tried repeatedly, but I have never been able to fix this. If the Aerosoft product gets round this problem - I'm buying. Even better though if Headwind could fix it, as in every other respect, I find the 'plane excellent.
VNAV is not working properly and the plane climbs like crazy and nothing can prevent it from doing so. I love this plane, so if anyone of you's having the same issue and any ideas what could I be doing wrong?
The Fbw 32nx never stopped people from buying the Fenix....I don't think this will be any different. My thoughts are on Aerosoft and it's production standards....past projects such as the crj show more support and production value is needed out of them if they are to be massively successful in the A330
In my case, unfortunately, but the plane does not work. There is some incompatibility with MSFS add-ons. In C&D mode, when the EXT PWR is turned off, the entire system in the aircraft goes out, as if it does not hold voltage.😟
They should finally adjust the correct overhead panel with the right fire push buttons e.g. APU and the correct gravity gear extension.. it’s still the a320 cockpit
I think that the headwind 330 flies very well, it is docile in flight and responds well to commands, but on the ground it taxis, badly, turns badly and brakes badly. It's freeware so we can't have any pretensions but if they improved it a bit it would be perfect
@@thealtchemist.x I tried it yesterday after last update and it continues to taxi badly compared to the default 747 which turns on taxis perfectly and brakes smoothly. I repeat headwind is a great product but It takes the dynamics from the fbw and the taxiing should be reviewed
@@Mr_Realworld Hahaha Absolutely agree!! But it's freeware and we can't have any pretensions. I don't use them for this reason and the fbw I even uninstalled it
@@Mr_Realworld Instead of the fbw I bought a 319 of the lvfr and I must say that it taxis, very well and flies discreetly, the altitudes and especially the descent instead manage them badly
It is now as of 10 00AM CDT Sat 18th Nov in Australia on Series X and it's astonishing! I am blown away by it. Catch up son, you are way behind. Oh. And it was free! Nice one. LOL@@Easyjetsimpilot
For me the Headwind A330 has been the best long haul aircraft in MSFS for some time and it continues to be updated. I am looking forward to the new cockpit when Headwind get around to releasing it. As for Aerosoft A330, I will wait until I see how much better the Aerosoft version is compared to the Headwind. It will have to be significantly better for me to justify the Aerosoft price over the freeware. I will be sticking with Headwind for now until I see enough favourable reviews from more experienced simmers
Given the Headwind's advances and how well it works, I probably won't be buying the Aerosoft A330... I actually almost forgot about that plane. I'm all for realism and approximating real-world flights, but if it boils down to having the old engines vs the NEO, I don't care enough to spend a large quantity of money for that. Besides... I like the NEO better.
honestly lookig at the Aerosoft A330, we are probably are gonna have to wait till like summer 2024, they havent even figured out the final feature set and a lot more decisions regarding the aricrafts releasse, And my interest for it is very little.
The a330 headwind is very good, i really like it, i flew a lot of times with it but still i think the Aerosoft a330 will be much better and more realistic. (My opinion)

A few months ago aerosoft posted updates about their a330 nearly every week on Thursday, but now? Only 1 update in one month
How is Flytampa Copenhagen working with the new WU15?
Are there 2 bridges to sweden now, or only one?
Thanks.
i would really love to see you stream with the a330

I will stay with headwinds A330 no matter what she lovely to fly can now wait to see the next update for it
Good choice!
What airport were you using here Gav? Looks like the Airbus factory.
That's right. It was Toulouse 👍
There is no options in my installer for the new model… 😢
when is the flight deck update
TBC
Is this the LVFR or the Headwind?
Yeah, more than happy with the Headwind A330 😊😊
I wonder why headwind isnt included in the flybywire installer
For some reason i can not start the engines anymore from cd and dark

Can’t seem to get updated sounds still had a320 sound set :( any ideas
Thanks for the info.

Any update on Inibuilds A320NEO?
Does this new version come with VNAV now?
Im waiting for ini's secret airliner
Me too!!

A wonderful liner.❤
Welcome back Gav 👋
Anyone else having issues where the plane suddenly goes into alternate law and strays off the NAV route but AP doesn’t disconnect?
What’s an Aerosoft?
How are you doing the moving around? Is it like an addon?
That is the showcase (drone) camera. It's part of msfs by default.
@@Easyjetsimpilot ah it’s that! I thought it was some sort of an addon! 😬
this A330 sound affects and physics is almost better than B777ER shockingly and it was free
Does this mean I no longer need to have M40 on the fuel factor on simbrief to land at a realistic weight?
VNAV is not working properly and the plane climbs like crazy and nothing can prevent it from doing so. I love this plane, so if anyone of you's having the same issue and any ideas what could I be doing wrong?
I honestly cant even get the throttle calibration to work
Nah, the only long haul plane I'm looking forward to is the PMDG 777!
I’ve never flown the headwind 330, I’ve tried to download the installer but every antivirus says it has a virus in it.
Nice video as always because i play on xbox i will buy the aerosoft a330 when it comes out
Aerosoft A330 will probably still release in an unstable and buggy state despite all the time they have spent. It’s a pass for me.
Pass for me aswell ,I refuse to be a beta tester
What’s a realistic release date estimate for the aerosoft A330… Just a rough estimate month?
Probably never
I have waited for a good A330-300. And when the Aerosoft A330 releases it's a must buy for me. I want to fly Finnair ops between Helsinki and London.
same, id much rather fly a 300 then the 900

Please see a previous video on the channel, showcasing their new A330 cockpit which is currently in production.
@@Easyjetsimpilot yes I know, I’m waiting for the release..
i dont understand if LVFR can make a cockpit why is there still an A320 in the HW 330
I'm still hanging my bets on the A220 coming out... soon? ish? :( That and the A380
My only issue with the headwind is how easy it starts rolling and the cockpit inaccuracy
Their new flightdeck is currently being built. See a previous video on thsi channel for a preview.
Getting my head around the new 787-9 it's great we are getting so many amazing choices now❤
Have they fixed it yet or do you still have to have an i9 and RTX4090 to run it? Does it still only rotate at 170 kts?
@Mr_Realworld Seems really good on frame rates. On my RTX 2060 ti , as for rotation, I have not noticed but will look next time 👍

It used to be really bad, but they improved it about half a year ago.
When did you last fly it?

until the a330 from headwind doesnt get an accurate cockpit i aint installing removes the excitement
We really need a GOOD a330. I have no faith that aerosoft will get it to market. Especially now that they have decided to start completely over.
i am really waiting for aerosoft A330, but i also like to fly Headwind A330-900 neo.
Is this available for xbox?
No, as it uses the Flybywire systems.

Need influencers to put pressure on Aerosoft to update their products like the CRJ. Spent way too much money to not get updates.

Where is the update ?!! How to fly with Aircraft with not her cockpit ?!!!hhhh
Aerosoft coming soon 2032
I am honestly not going to buy the Aerosoft A330 because Headwind Sim will be making their freeware A330-300 and -200.
