Yeah, just let them lay there with wheelchairs on ontop of them, until a paramedic can show up. Good call, about as good of a call, as keeping the race going while 6 people who can't walk, are tangled up in a pile of wheel chairs, instead of pausing the race to clear the track, and make sure everyone is safe. You'know like in every other racing event.

For anyone wondering the actual result... Upon review, the race was re-done 5 days later. The Swiss athlete who caused the crash was disqualified and two other athletes were too injured from this crash to take part. The winner from this race placed 2nd in the redo. Third place from this race won.

This is because you can only do slight/gentle turns with the front portion and wheel the ground, so we usually wheelie into position and away at the end of the race. So her wheelie likely wasn't for fun but was her preparing to move when the track was safe to do so without ending up more in the way. Also, it'd be more dangerous to start moving across the track with the race still active, so it's safer for the racers who crashed to stay in place until the other racers had passed by and finished
