My parents bought our home in 1963 off of Studebaker and Harco on Lees Ave. Helen Keller was across the street and DeMille Jr High was two blocks away. They bought their home for $14,500….. it’s now appraising for over $750,000 and the middle school is gone. It was a great neighborhood to grow up and is still in very good shape today. Hellen Keller is now the middle school
Yup, California is way too high. Even fixer uppers are expensive. Long Beach has no rent control either. They raised my rent 355 lol and the homeless encampment is getting out of control.
@@robbanks6112 Long Beach does have rent control for apartments & duplexes. All of California now has state wide rent control. You must live in a single family house if your rent was raised that much.

Do you know what surprises me is that the cost of living in Long Beach wasn’t so bad until the past 6 years.
One Word : Outrageous cost of living
No wonder people are steadily moving out of this state. You have to be practically a millionaire to live in a decent house and neighborhood.

As much as I’d love to buy, you lost me at $800k lol
Do y’all have a rental department?
Unfortunately we don't but Apartments.com is a great place to start!
1300 studio, 1600 1 bdrm, 2500 2 bdrm a month. No parking
What about people have section eight
The cost of living is literally the only downfall to Long Beach... Otherwise I think it's the best place on Earth
