I'm at my husband in Long Beach my kids were born in Long Beach I left in 1972 and moved Artesia and from there we moved back to my husband's home in Georgia but I miss Long Beach so much at times
I love Long Beach! It’s not a perfect city, but it is indeed diverse and liberal. Never forget when a comedian from the South doing a gig at Hot Java said “ you’re all so integrated here. I’m moving West” 🤩🤩🤩

Victor, if you talk to 10 different people, you'll get 10 different answers to all of your questions. It's important to remember that like Los Angeles, Long Beach is a city and so has some of the issues that all urban areas face. There are some areas that are nicer than others and it depends on what you are looking for.
Literally don’t go to the North Or East side of Long Beach, just like LA and everywhere else homelessness is rising. Stay on Ocean Blvd stretching all the way to 2nd street and Naples area. And downtown is good too. I prefer Huntington Beach over Long Beach any day.
Stay on the south end of or SE parts there's also small pockets all over the city which are great even towards Lakewood....There's really no place better as far as a big city goes

I lived in LB for 40 yrs. it's not that great, it doesn't have that So Cal beach vibe. you're near the port of LA. there is a break wall so there is no surf. The beach faces south so you don't get the great sunsets and you don't get the prevailing westerly wind. It can get really hot in the summer without that wind. Some of the neighborhoods can be very dangerous and you can be in a nice neighborhood and 2 blocks later you're not. lots of crime. lots of homeless. and you pay a lot of money to live by a beach that is not really a beach. And no parking.
Pricing can vary depending on where you're looking within Long Beach and if you're looking for a condo or a single-family home. If you'd like any help setting up a property search we'd be more than happy to do so!
