Guitarists are Gods yea and if the helmet ricochet into somebody the crowd they would say it wasn’t his fault. He’s a fucking fruitcake. Sounds like a fucking geek
the interview at the end is the reason why i love Tony Stewart! He'll get fined & points taken away, but he is still one of the best drivers in NASCAR!
I was there! Great race! Pieces of his helmet must have gone 50 feet in the air. I was right past the finish line, front row. My dad and i had tickets for much further back but the whole front row was empty, and the guards didnt mind us copping those seats. They were really cool about it! Got to see this helmet throw from less than 100 feet away. Tony Stewart is such an emotional racer. That's all I'll say... Lol
What was really funny was at the end of the year at the Championship week in Las Vegas, Matt gave this helmet back to Tony with some kind of smart-ass remark written on it. Lol.
"Running over" someone in NASCAR is an idiom... It doesn't phsycally mean that Stewart wanted to "run" over Kenseth literally... You "run over" someone in NASCAR by giving them no room, pretending they aren't there and in general wrecking them. His words aren't a threat and can't be compared to the recent tragedy. I am no Stewart fan, I respect the guy, and I know he did not intentionally try and hurt/kill someone. Also, for those who aren't familiar with NASCAR, you should know pretty much all drivers get into conflicts. Go look at a NASCAR driver roster, pick a name and type that name into youtube with "fight" after it. Racing is an emotional sport, just like hockey.
He might not of been trying to hit him, he might of been trying to intimidate him but look what happened... a fight is one thing but going after someone in your car is another... but surely he will getout of it, he got money... with enough money you can get out of shit
Stewart had room...Kenseth did run him off his line, but not into the wall...Hot head Tony, threw a fit, and tried to take his line back by taking Kenseth out.
I was there for that classic Bristol Moment and I'll be there next Saturday for what should be one insane race at Thunder Valley! #NASCAR #ItsBristolBaby
The in-car view from Matt Kenseth's car of Tony Stewart's helmet hitting it got on almost every late-evening local TV newscast in the country that night!
Tony Stewart is my favorite NASCAR driver, post Dale Earnhardt Sr. If someone is a asshole Tony Stewart has a great way of making it known he's pissed. I remember when he punched Jeff Gordon in the face.lol
Yeah i understand, just the soul of nascar changed after dale died, but being a long time fan of nascar and indycar, its just great to watch every sunday. The rivalries, close compitition and the feel of america, and beer and BBQ. Aint nothing better.lol
all the way down, which is what he did), he will try to get 1+ car-lengths so he'll be able to go (switch) to the outside,if he does(which he did),he will become the leader(watch it again, and see what I'm talking about).going all the way up to overtake is uncommon b/c there is no grip so the cor will get loose(which is what happened to Hornish I believe). Now when tony got the lead Kenseth tried to take it back, but not by going all the way down, but trying to push Tony to THE outside, which got
Most of the time they're not being squeezed against the wall like Kenseth was doing to Stewart. Driving next to the wall is different from driving next to another car, another car can be moved, the wall cannot be moved.
Tony went for a clean pass(although he had the chance to bump Kenseth and didn't b/c he wanted to race clean) on the inside, then he got to the outside.(if you don't know how this works, let me tell you: the inside is quick with lots of grip, the outside is average, all the way to the wall( THE outside is fast but with almost no grip. which is why the leader (Kenseth in our case)chooses the outside) when the 2nd place(in our case Tony) goes on the inside, (if he wants to overtake, he'll go all
I can ONLY IMAGINE how Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Skip Caray, Marty Brennamen, Ernie Harwell, Mel Allen, Vin Scully and Phil Rizzuto would have called that PERFECT strike!!? I can JUST hear Mel Allen saying "How about THAT!?"
Tony Stewart has never really been the same since this. Massive wreck at Talladega, broken leg the next year, and now all of this hoopla (no comment). I'm trying not to shun him, Tony is good, but it's true.
Never understood why Stewart left this race? His car has no damage on it, could've finished in the top 5 still. I remember the car got towed back and it had less damage than Kenseth's.
Yeah i can see how you think that. With the chase in 2004 and the COT in 2008, it certainly changed pretty much everything in nascar racing. But with the sexy new cars and more road races for this year, its gonna be great :) ps I would tune in for daytona this feb. its gonna be insane i promise you!
Watch the replay again. Keneseth caused the contact by driving into the corner too deep and then practically had Tony against the wall so Tony had to try to get off the wall. Granted he could've tried to keep the car straight BUT Matt shouldn't have driven into the corner has hard as he did.
All those people making Kevin Ward references, thanks for it, even if it is too soon. But check out some of the other websites where Stewart's fanbase calls the kid an "idiot" and I even saw one person say Ward deserved it. However in this video, Stewart "has passion" and he was in the right (according to his fanbase.) While comparing a stock car and a sprint car are apples to oranges, the situations were essentially the same. He needs to at least get manslaughter or vehicular homicide.
Best part was the helmet throw commentary:
"That's a perfect throw!"
"That's a nice throw!"
Gotta love the commentary...
1:16
Commentator A: "That was a perfect strike"
Commentator B: "Aaaat's a nice throw."
Ha only in nascar will you hear "that's a perfect throw" gotta love it!
Guitarists are Gods yeah but uncalled for throwing your helmet
you could actually hear that in baseball, football basketball and many other sports, jus saying
Guitarists are Gods yea and if the helmet ricochet into somebody the crowd they would say it wasn’t his fault. He’s a fucking fruitcake. Sounds like a fucking geek
Favorite Nascar moment and I saw Austin Dillon throw a helemt today IN PERSON and it was awesome!!!
God that seems like a long time ago...Memories...
the interview at the end is the reason why i love Tony Stewart! He'll get fined & points taken away, but he is still one of the best drivers in NASCAR!
Battle of the motor oil.
I want that helmet
Don't all of us Tony Stewart fans want that helmet.
I think commentator really hit it on the head, "It's just racing, you can't pin the blame on either."
God i love Tony Stewart in moments like this! Pure passion and emotion! He brings excitement to races!
I was there for this!! I had the best view way up high watched the whole thing unfold.
1:36 probably will be hearing this in court soon
I was there! Great race! Pieces of his helmet must have gone 50 feet in the air. I was right past the finish line, front row. Haha I love how the announcers say that was a nice throw. Cracks me up
They say NASCAR fans want to see wrecks, but this is what they really want to see.
They? or WE?
We

only one i could find of carl edwards was one when he was really young. i may be bias since he is from my home town, but hes alright.
Stewart had room...Kenseth did run him off his line, but not into the wall...Hot head Tony, threw a fit, and tried to take his line back by taking Kenseth out.
Remember watching this live...
I was at this race!! Tony was my favorite driver at the time and I was just as pissed at Kenseth as he was 😂
I was there for that classic Bristol Moment and I'll be there next Saturday for what should be one insane race at Thunder Valley! #NASCAR #ItsBristolBaby
My dad was cheering Tony on when we watched this race.
Well this stuff can't happen anymore with the new rules in place
i'm italian, i shouldn't like these racing competitions. but damn they're fun as hell!!
Monza had an oval track, didn't it? Basically euro-nascar.
@@rydoggo nice catch
NASCAR is a sport where you don’t give a crap most of the time
Pretty much sums it up, F1 is more on the strict side of Motorsports
@@Ab_Ismael nowadays, not so much
Why cant you like these "Racing Competitions"?
1:15 they were talking about his throw like it was football! LOL
"Hah, that was a nice throw"
Omg that killed me
I love how the commentators are talking about how good his throw was.
The in-car view from Matt Kenseth's car of Tony Stewart's helmet hitting it got on almost every late-evening local TV newscast in the country that night!
I was there that night and it was amazing
The biggest baby in NASCAR history, Tonya Stewart.
Tony's throw and accuracy is way better than anyone on The Red Sx this year.
I was so there at Bristol happened right in front of us!!!! Classic
For everybody who says the kid Tony Stewart mowed down with his race car deserved it. I guess Tony is lucky Kenseth can handle his emotions.
Jason Turner ..... Word!!!!
Except tony killed the guy on accident
I was there! That was so funny! It happened right in front of me!!!
Tony Stewart is my favorite NASCAR driver, post Dale Earnhardt Sr. If someone is a asshole Tony Stewart has a great way of making it known he's pissed. I remember when he punched Jeff Gordon in the face.lol
I love how the commentators critique his throw
this was altogether a great race i remember it still
This POS should be thrown in jail !! It's probably going to end up being a lawsuit
1:03 What a THROW!!
My two favourite racers.
I never laughed so hard before i saw this! Classic! The best part was when he cheered before getting in the ambulance, lol
I can JUST HEAR Harry Caray “HE STRUCK HIM OUT”!!!
With MY luck that shit would come back and hit me in the balls....
"That's a perfect strike."
"Ttthhhat's a nice throw."
Oh yeah.. and did anybody notice, one year later, Matt won the race..
2005 too
Yeah i understand, just the soul of nascar changed after dale died, but being a long time fan of nascar and indycar, its just great to watch every sunday. The rivalries, close compitition and the feel of america, and beer and BBQ. Aint nothing better.lol
I have been a Tony Stewart fan since I started watching NASCAR and when I watched watched this live, I liked Tony a bit more.
Justin Miller Kyle bush better and joey Logano cause they get more wins frequently
Bristol is back!! Great throw!!!
At least Kenseth didn't run over him
Daisy Renee Law cause he’s not like him
IT WAS MANSLAUGHTER THAT KILLED KEVIN WARD BECAUSE KEVIN WARD WAS AN IDIOT
damn it almost looked like they were racing on the old South Boston track for a second there!
dude, he gets mad so fast..
that typical for tony that why he one of my favorite's
all the way down, which is what he did), he will try to get 1+ car-lengths so he'll be able to go (switch) to the outside,if he does(which he did),he will become the leader(watch it again, and see what I'm talking about).going all the way up to overtake is uncommon b/c there is no grip so the cor will get loose(which is what happened to Hornish I believe). Now when tony got the lead Kenseth tried to take it back, but not by going all the way down, but trying to push Tony to THE outside, which got
stewarts a hell of a driver with attitude i like him.
Most of the time they're not being squeezed against the wall like Kenseth was doing to Stewart. Driving next to the wall is different from driving next to another car, another car can be moved, the wall cannot be moved.
"That's a perfect strike"
Gotta love the commentaters.
i like how the commentary says nice throw
LOL the guys in the booth "That's a nice throw"
way to add some comedy to the end of that press interview dave burns...
He don't need any ideas . He has a good imagination .
no i actually think they are automatic they just have a clutch pedal to launch and a reverse gear but i could be wrong
He had plenty of room.
You can bet if his Sprint car disaster involving Kevin Ward had gone to trial this clip would have been shown over and over.
Tony went for a clean pass(although he had the chance to bump Kenseth and didn't b/c he wanted to race clean) on the inside, then he got to the outside.(if you don't know how this works, let me tell you: the inside is quick with lots of grip, the outside is average, all the way to the wall( THE outside is fast but with almost no grip. which is why the leader (Kenseth in our case)chooses the outside) when the 2nd place(in our case Tony) goes on the inside, (if he wants to overtake, he'll go all
Also, he just got another helmet back. That 7-time one. So, there's that. Bazinga.
that was right in front of me when he threw the helmet
I can ONLY IMAGINE how Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Skip Caray, Marty Brennamen, Ernie Harwell, Mel Allen, Vin Scully and Phil Rizzuto would have called that PERFECT strike!!? I can JUST hear Mel Allen saying "How about THAT!?"

"I'll run over him every chance I got 'till the end of the year. EVERY chance I've got!" go get him ,smoke!
And then at Talladega in October, Matt wins while Tony flips on the final lap!
austin dillion
Alec Steen He was talking about 2012, dipshit.
You mad, bro?
Direct hit!!!! He's my driver so I'm not gonna criticize him, he's mellowed out a lot from a few years back......
Tony pulled down coming out of the turn to hit Kenseth on purpose he needs to control his anger
"That's a perfect strike" "thaaat's a nice throw" AND PEOPLE SAY SMOKE ISN'T AN ATHLETE
That's a nice throw :-)
How nice of kenseth to keep his car in a straight line and not try to scare Stewart and end up running him over.
Thats not what happened. It was not intentional.
A PERFECT STRIKE!!!
HE GOT DAT AERO LOOSE!
Perfect time for revenge. Guy's just lost his helmet, and the other guy's in a racecar hungry for some roadkill.
Tony Stewart being Tony Stewart.
Tony should doing this on open wheel racing (Indycar & F1)...
That's a no fault wreck. Kenseth slid up a little, and Tony came down. Tony is such a fucking baby.
'That's a nice throw'
They're not about to get in the middle of a short track feud.
it rocks if you're the type of person who looks at their sister and thinks ohhh yeahhh
He was not squeezed against the wall. Watch the replay
Never understood why Stewart left this race? His car has no damage on it, could've finished in the top 5 still. I remember the car got towed back and it had less damage than Kenseth's.
David Stewart probably effd up his suspension and maybe the radiator
stewart does the baby reaction
With that throw, he must be the New York Jets QB
The ultimate in irony, the FIA is so heavy handed when it comes to driver behavior but when it comes to things like that it's perfectly legal.
Im 100% a stewart fan and that was hard racing plain and simple. Its good to see smoke throwing helmets again.
Nice throw, Stewart!
I remember when Tony used to contend for wins...
Good times smh
Sonoma 2016
wow Stewert should of got 500 race suspension for that
tony needs anger managment classes he always lets his anger get the best of him remember its a sport
I assume you're new to the sport because he was forced back early in his career to take anger management classes by NASCAR.
i didnt see anything with him being loose, he just drove it right into tonys door
Watch the replay again. Keneseth caused the contact by driving into the corner too deep and then practically had Tony against the wall so Tony had to try to get off the wall. Granted he could've tried to keep the car straight BUT Matt shouldn't have driven into the corner has hard as he did.
is this guy a grosjean/maldonado of the f1 world?
Tony doesn't work out in the gym he works out the 3-4 nights a week hes racing on dirt somewhere Tony is a real race car driver
I'd have said "Tell us how you really feel." Ah geee gee

Uh, no u can see him trying to turn down. And ward was drunk
