This made me bawl. I've studied the Titanic for almost 40 years and never reacted that way. For whatever reason, this version of Nearer My God to Thee affected me very deeply just now.
I just finished watching A Night To Remember. Despite the historical inaccuracies (understandable given what was known at the time) it’s still the best cinematic depiction of the sinking of the Titanic.
Nice that "Nearer, My God to Thee" plays. And how unique to see the "Horbury" tune being used since it is the tune used in the UK. In the rest of the world, we are familiar with the "Bethany" version.
This might be my favorite version of Nearer my god to thee ever I can't believe it's been 111 years since that night, may all the 1517 souls who died that night rest in peace 🕊️
@Harrison Irvine To be honest, we shall probably never know the exact number of lives lost in the sinking of the Titanic. Most of them were pulled under by the ship as she sank
1:35 isn't accurate because in A Night To Remember we see Collapsible A is still on the roof when the water surges up onto the deck. It also appears to be at the front of the Boat Deck, perhaps the Bridge Roof, oppose to the Funnel area.
may the 1,500 souls who died on board the titanic rest in peace this really adds emotions how the ship sinks and the Near my god to thee plays and it go's with the ship as it slowly goes down the dark cold misty ocean...
Only the first funnel collapses in the film, when Lightoller is trying to get away from the ship and people to the overturned Collapsible B, it falls on Mr. and Mrs. Clarke.
I rewatched the movie just last week in order to do a compare/contrast with Cameron’s movie. Had they had access to the info in 1958 that Cameron had in ‘97, it would easily be the better film in my opinion. In some ways, it still is despite that. Love your animation and this version of Nearer My God to Thee!

James Cameron's was different gravy to be fair
No way, the story was crap. The 1953 story was much more engaging and emotional
@@oufukubinta why the hell are there so many explosions
