Few people know the fact that the Koochi people are the descendants of the ancient Tocharian people, famous for their mummies discovered in the Tarim Taklamakan desert. Their name comes from the city of the same name in the Tarim Basin. It was a discovery for me that the Koochi somehow miraculously did not disappear from the face of the earth and still exist. Unfortunately, they have lost their native language, but still speak one of the dialects of the Saka language. And they still lead a nomadic lifestyle, just as the Sakas did. This short film is like a journey into the past 3-4 thousand years
It appears that Kuchi's represent the original Pashtuns, who were originally a bunch of nomadic tribes. It is interesting to see that how nomads from different parts of the world share similar culture and values.
Not all Pashtuns were nomads, most were Semi-Nomadic while others were settled. Tribes like for example the Zadran, Mohmand and Wazir were never nomadic but settled tribesmen. I think only the Ghilzai and some Durrani were but others were not.

Long live Loy Afghanistan, where all the kuchi will pass safely. They speak pashto of the books and have real culture remained. Inshallahulaziz Loy Afghanistan will come soon. ❤️
The police sticker on the music instrument was the best :-)
Few people know the fact that the Koochi people are the descendants of the ancient Tocharian people, famous for their mummies discovered in the Tarim Taklamakan desert. Their name comes from the city of the same name in the Tarim Basin. It was a discovery for me that the Koochi somehow miraculously did not disappear from the face of the earth and still exist. Unfortunately, they have lost their native language, but still speak one of the dialects of the Saka language. And they still lead a nomadic lifestyle, just as the Sakas did. This short film is like a journey into the past 3-4 thousand years
Abid Zareef Khan - Great job, proud of you, Brother
I love these people as they are, free and not controlled.
Best film ever
You should win an OSCAR in documentary 💐
Beautiful people!
Thanks for video
Amazing culture ❤️
This documentary reminds another film "Askoo" about another beautiful people/ nation - Baloch!
