Oh, I forgot to say! Following several requests I tried to slow my narration down a little bit in this one. Did you notice, and do you prefer it? Let me know below! Thanks!
You did an amazing job telling the full story. I don't think his punishment fits hiis crimes and I wonder how many unsolved international murders of young women he may have been party to. The one upside is that his name can be pronounced like the word "urine" because he IS that foul....
I think your talking pace normally is fine
I thought I was just tired and imagining it , but overall I prefer the the slower narration.
Ok, thought I was having a stroke.
Still sounds great tho.
This jerk needs life in prison, btw.
We are okay how ever you intend to narrate it, and appreciate your efforts, thanks Coffeehousecrime, it’s an eye opener to avoid trusting people, especially strangers.
As a peruvian I'm glad someone is talking about Stephany, her story is usually overlooked.
I remember this case, the local news victim shamed her so badly and her father had to fight really hard to clean her name and get justice, it was outrageous.
Also, the way you talk about my country and my city is really accurate, it's a beautiful place with terrible politicians that care more about making money than the people they are supposed to serve.
Sadly, that's the way all governments are, around the world. True evil lives on, in Government jobs.

I was just going to say the same thing 👍
Even here in the comments people victim blame/shame. So sick of it. Van Der Sloot was a monster. No one else is to blame for what he did.
America has become the very same way.
It was nice to hear about who Stephany was. All I knew was the monster had murdered some other woman and knew nothing about her.
So tragic for Stephany and her family that the monster happened upon her.
The fact that he used money from Natalie's parents to go to Peru is sickening. He used that money to pretty much murder somebody else. He deserves much longer in prison!
I completely agree!! He deserves 2 life sentences at the very least.
@@reneefletcher1646he’s probably getting his rubber band stretched by other inmates…if you catch my drift.
I’m pretty sure someone is going to take care of him every single day inside the prison and make his life miserable until he finish his sentence
Is Natalie the first victim, or what? I haven't finished the vid yet
@@thaneelouise9044Ehhh... As someone who's been to jail and talked to a lot of people in prison, they really just not tolerate pedos and people who fuck with the old. Women murderers aren't seen as THAT bad in there. I'm sure there will be a few people who might test him since he wants to fuck with women, "let's see how you handle a man" kinda thing. But he won't be bothered by everyone like a pedo would.
He is a bitch though. Choosing women as his victims because he knows he's a bitch who couldn't win a fight against a man. He's a pussy.
That wretched creature extorting the bereaved parents for cash for corpse is a whole other level of despicable. Heart goes out to the victims families
And the worst part is he didn't even tell the truth. He took their money and continued to lie.
A corpse which he didn't even have because he had dumped her into the sea.
I have a strong feeling he won’t make it 28 years in a Peruvian prison. I hope he doesn’t make it for even 5 years. What an evil disgusting man. He’ll get what he deserves in there.
I hope, he will make 27.5 years.
He's now serving 35 total in Peru for an added charge of cocaine trafficking while in jail. He's doing just fine apparently. He had a huge ring set up and had even expanded it to sending packages outside of the prison. He has already been in jail at Challapalca for 7 years.
Unfortunately the two sentences are concurrent, meaning he WILL be out in 2045 because Peru has a limit of 35yrs total unless sentenced to life
@@somethinginthenothingI’ve also read he is treated quite well there, got married, had a baby & now has a gf
@@somethinginthenothingHe will be extradited to the U.S. to serve out his sentence for Natalie.
No, he should make it till his last day, but not complete his sentence. He should live those years with anxiety and fear for himself, as he inflicted on both those girls.
It's crazy how you can never know how evil someone can be
Coffee on the house! First comment!

You look fantastic Adrian!
Thank you for covering this case separately. That evil man has done so much harm to not just the Holloway family, but Stephany's as well & got away with so much for so long... I despise him. 😡
Agreed
All we ever hear is she was found in his room. I always wanted to know more about Stephany. I'm glad you've given her a face.
Adrian I am so glad you highlighted Stephany’s case. Here in the US it is just a footnote to Nathalie’s case. He was just an evil spoiled child, when he gets crossed by a woman he lashes out, and someone dies. At least a Peruvian jail he is getting the punishment he deserves.
He is living it up in prison. How sad this murder is a mere footnote to people in the US.
It’s unfortunate that she isn’t talked about as much as Natalie because if it weren’t for this tragedy we wouldn’t have had confirmation about what happened to Natalie. She almost became a martyr in a way and it’s just crazy that he literally got away with murder and if it weren’t for this, he would be out living amongst society
She's just one of many young women who go off to have sex with a complete stranger and end up paying the price for it. We need to raise our kids to be smarter than this. I'm sure if she were American more people would talk about it, but she's from a country that not many even knows or cares about. I wouldn't call her a martyr... just extremely naive.
@@lizzyyorkThere’s nothing wrong with going out with strangers. Sure there’s a danger, but everything as a level of danger. The statement you made sounds extremely victim blaming

Thank you so much for covering both girls. Joran (Urine) is such scum. There’s honestly no words for him. He’s done everything he can to get away with killing Natalee. I still remember when we first heard about this evil crime happening. It was sad.
American Intermediary 11/20/23
It is unfortunate that in the end we still have to always rely on the statement of the perpetrator on what actually happened. She may have never looked into his laptop. He may have just killed her because she didn't want to do what he wanted or just because he got off on killing her. Sometimes the autopsy tells a bit of what may have really happened but in the end it will often remain a mystery and we have to remind ourselves that the story of the killers are likely to be completely made up.
I had a similar thought when he was describing the last moments of Natalee's life. With Stephany, it does seem like it was likely reactionary since he was checked in under his name, he didn't hide from cameras, and a tennis racquet was used. But we'll likely never know for sure.
I always wondered if she really did look at his laptop like that doesn’t even make sense really, somehow she just happened to look at his laptop and find stuff about Natalie’s murder? While playing online poker?
Idk. He’s always been a liar so I can’t imagine he now would suddenly be honest. I also don’t believe the whole story about Natalie either he “finally told.”
Or maybe computer forensic investigators saw what was looked up in the hours prior to her death.... DERRRRRRRR
Honestly I was thinking he was probably low on cash (I'm guessing he blew through the extortion money on the casino) and by coincidence he met this woman and chose to rob her but I believe the robbery went wrong.
Yeah, the creep lies through his teeth all the time. Can't trust a word he says.
I disagree with the Peruvian courts showing leniency because a person is under the influence at the time they committed the crime.
Both Natalee and Stephany were such wonderful, talented young ladies with promising futures ahead of them. It saddens me deeply that Joran took those futures away from them. God bless them.

It might be that Joran won't survive to be deported back to America. If he's been attacked already, it doesn't look good for his chances. Natalee and Stephany were two beautiful and sweet natured young women who had the misfortune to run into a psychopath. It's a shame that there's no flashing sign on a psychopath's forehead to warn people. I wonder what happened to make Stephany google his name. Something did.
Thanks, Adrian, it was good to get the follow-up on Stephany's case. Well and sensitively presented as always.
Wow, you are almost at 2m in viewership......great job, you deserve it!! Thanks for all you do and the respect you show your victims and families.
It seems that he is receiving extra punishment for his transgressions outside of the court. If he isn't remorseful yet (he clearly wasn't before), we can only hope that the beating(s) will eventually knock some empathy into him.
On a lighter note, congrats on a successful completion of the 2-part video. Sometimes the story takes more time to cover, and both women deserve to be recognized for their own individuality, not for being murdered by the same individual. This is one of many reasons why I love this channel. Wishing you the best, and looking forward to the next videos.
He knows he is likely going to die in prison. This is his life now. No more being spoilt or living the high life. No more tennis. I'd say he has huge regrets and remorse, although not for his victims or their poor families.
Someone in the comments said he’s actually doing well in prison. He seems like the type that would thrive in prison honestly. A lifelong scoundrel.
Oh and he has a wife a daughter and supposedly a girlfriend. I find it awful and sickly karmic he has a daughter seeing as how he is a ki11er of women. What crazy lady has a baby with a ki11er. Oh and the girlfriend helped smuggle dope into prison for him. So not only was he banging the first chic in the prison he was able to land a girlfriend and have her become a smuggler for him. I mean what the fck.
I'm thankful Natalie's family has some sort of closure. But as a mother, who's son was murdered. No amount of closure takes the pain away.

The killer's first mistake was murdering Natalie Holloway-but then the bastard got too cocky and made an even BIGGER mistake when he chose his next victim-who happened to be the daughter of a very high-profile man.
The scariest part is, had he not murdered Stephanie, chances are that he wouldn't have brought even more heat on him than he already had.

This story gave me chills and made my heart sink.
rest in peace Stephanie.
This story is truly chilling because the murderer doesn't seem to have a motive; perhaps he is just so much more powerful than women that any physical dispute quickly became a murder just to evade jail time for assault. What's sick is that he kept leveraging the location of Natalie's body for money and less jail time and her parents don't get either justice or to bury their daughter. Aruba must be completely corrupt.
Being a rapey psychopath isn't a motive?
He did. Joran was a gambling addict. Stephanie had won that night. This whole, she looked at my computer was a lie.
@@KimVerhaaff That's interesting because it should have been pretty easy to steal her money and not commit more serious crimes. I was thinking about the Vegas shooter that also had a gambling addiction but no one could understand why he turned to murder. Gambling is an impulse control problem and casinos intentionally try to create gambling problems. There must be some connection between that part of the brain and a will to commit murder, not just acting on every impulse.
@@erinmagner I didn't know that he also had a gambling problem. That is interesting. I'm not sure it's easy to take money from someone who doesn't want to give it though. Also, he had gotten away with it before. I'm sure in Joran's head he was just going to leave and nobody would know. I do agree casino's should be more careful. So so many people kill for money, gambling money. They won't though. Sadly. That's how they make their billions. And they really dont care about what happens to those who gamble.
Aruba is not corrupt, it's part of an european country and among the most developed in the world

Just for the record: I find it curious, how murderers visually change, when they're either about to be convicted or already are. Like, drastically. Good job Adrian, as always. ^^
Their true face has been exposed .
that's because they've given into the evil temptation of demons, and they liked it. So, the feeling of invincibility takes over and they become more depraved in thoughts and actions until they are dead or caught.
