    My father was a bushman and camped in the NSW bush for a few nights, he was telling me one night ( he has no idea of what it was) he was woken up by fear he had never in his life felt, he just kept his eyes closed and prayed for morning to come, but then he felt an incredible feeling of peace that he had never experienced, the very opposite of the fear he felt and felt safe, he said he will never forget the experience, but he packed up and left as soon as dawn came.

      I had this exact experience happen camping about 12hrs hike east of the Mundaring weir. Difference was i opened my eyes but it was so dark they may of well been closed. I could “feel” something staring at me about 10 feet away from my bunk in the open sided hut. I could not move I was so scared, frozen in fear. Really odd experience. In all the places I have hiked in the bush, I did not feel welcome there.

    Great video Baird, I love that folk song about the weird things going on in the Pilliga Forest and all that absolutely gorgeous nature photography! I have started finding yowies quite fascinating, since Australia's fossil records lacking any trace of primates before homo sapiens arriving makes it all the more curious that people there keep encountering big hairy hominids. Even more interesting that hotspots for Yowie sightings also attract other numinous phenomena like UFOs for instance.

    • @jimbairdtimekeeper8117

      Yowie and UFO sightings in the same place doesn't sound strange to me at all.

    • @Tsotha
      @Tsotha 2 года назад

      @@jimbairdtimekeeper8117 Nope... elsewhere on the planet it's fairly common that the same "window areas" are hotspots for several different forms of numinous phenomena. E. g. the Cannock Chase in the UK or the Bridgewater Triangle in the US. There are also several incidents where big hairy humanoids, UFOs and poltergeists are encountered in the same context. IDK if you subscribe to Zelia Edgar's youtube channel "Just Another Tin Foil Hat" but she has many videos about such incidents, which I consider important on account of how many cryptozoologists and ufologists otherwise neglect them. I myself entertain the theory that the weirder cryptid/ghost/UFO/etc encounters might just be the human brain's attempt to make sense of experiences where the social consensus reality it has been programmed into by "filling in the blanks" with whatever culturally specific narrative about the unexplained it has access to but there are quite a few entity encounters that theory does not explain in a satisfying manner. Am I not mistaken, I have discussed that theory wtih Zelia Edgar in the comments to some of her videos...

Stan Gordon has written about them in his book "Silent Invasion".
      Zelia Edgar has several short and concise videos about such incidents on her channel Just Another Tin Foil Hat in case you're curious. For example the Gallipolis Cloudy Creep, the Furry Frankfurt Freak and the Uniontown Unknown.

    'Bigfoot Central Command' wants Yowie volunteers. I gave them a ring based on your obvious potential, as outlined by your good self.
    They have reviewed the video, but sadly they've had to reject you, based on how you struggled to open the packaging on your dehydrated meal.
    They thank you for your interest, and have commented that it is hard to get Yowie volunteers.
    Yowies are tasked with frightening people away from certain areas in the Bush, but some Ozzies are hard to scare, and do things like see a Yowie disappear into a hole in the ground. Unlike most rational human beings who would welcome the chance to run the other way, some Australians proceed to stick their heads into the hole to 'have a look at what's down there' 👀🙄
    'Bigfoot Central Command' is having to deal with too many 'Yowies' returning to base with PTSD...

    Tribes have totem animals, and under the law of the Rainbow Serpent you are forbidden to eat your totem animal so that theres food for everyone. Its much deeper than this. I'm just paraphrasing for times sake.
    My theory is that if theres any truth to the dreamtime stories and folklore of the yowie, they were originally a tribe and man was their totem animal. The interview with a man named Bongo is chilling. He is extremely traumatised by his experience, and states that he was ripped from his car dragged through bushes and when whatever dragged him out there (the Yowie) it realised Bongo was a man (or human) and took him back to his car. Well worth listening too, his voice trembles with terror giving you this gut feeling that hes telling the truth and geniunely cant explain what happened without reliving it... but would also explain why eye witness accounts are so low, as the yowie has no need to go anywhere near humans and adding that humans are just as wild as what you would find in the outback.
    Just a theory, but i personally beleive something bigger than us could be out there.
    Ps if Bongo is lying that man deserves an Oscar.
