Also they are not giving some enough time for what they have done. My brother in law is in jail for 5 years for molesting his grand daughter. He should be in there forever. • @AmaanStorm
      @AmaanStorm 5 месяцев назад

      I'm inclined to agree with this. The 60's and 70's weren't so modern when it came to the knowledge or understanding of autism, aspergers, depression and various forms of mental illness/instability. Quite often, it was left to the parent to deal with as a behavioural problem, with very little support from a medical perspective. And quite often parents assumed the church would be a good place to deal with what they assumed to be 'bad behaviour'.
      Who knows what the case may be in terms of the murderers mental state, but the one thing that should have been done in tbe modern world much later on, was to keep him locked up and get him checked out with a psychological examination to determine whether he was a candidate for freedom. That's where the government and the law have failed the victims.

    I'd love you to cover the murder suicide of Jenifer and John Quesnel on Saltspring Island Canada. I think the killer (John) nearly ran me over in his truck when I was on holiday a couple of years prior, then shouted abuse at me when I confronted him (proper temper tantrum, he was a very small pathetic man). Im unable to verify this easily myself, however I do have the license plate of the truck still, maybe you could find out if you cover the case

There are lots of people that had it atleast as bad or even worse that turn out to be good in the end. i know some people will tell me im wrong. but for me i have personal experience with this and i know in the end it is all up to yourself to decide.

    Once again a saddening case that shows what happens in Europe time and time again, as a Belgian our justice system is even weaker than the UK's. Time and time again I see cases in which people with a severe mental illness and violent tendencies are released and all hell breaks loose. We've got plenty of cases in which messed individuals are set free early and not helped with their mental condition and do unthinkable things. I hope from the bottom of my heart that one day the justice system will care and make sure these people are helped before they are released, you wouldn't release a wolf in a sheep's pen, so why release a psychopath with murderous tendencies into the public?

    This killing would be avoided if the judge didn’t put this killer out on the streets knowing how his mental illness was. This is a terrible decision.

    • @ThatSharkGirl

      You have a point, but do you really want to live in a world where YOU are punished for crimes you haven’t committed yet?
      We don’t have real numbers of what percent of people have psychopathy. But we do know that most don’t commit violent crimes like this.
      Most just live extremely chaotic lives, never make strong friendships/relationships, change jobs often, and things like that.
      Personally I don’t want to live in a world where I received a head injury as a baby, which damaged my amygdala, so now I’m in prison or a mental hospital for the rest of my life for crimes you think I’ll commit.

      The guy had a laundry list of violent tendencies before ever committing to murder. What he needed was help, not to be put back out on the streets. As Adrian points out in the video, he didn't stop committing violent acts, he just got better at avoiding the police.
