Wow, that's a complete overhaul and lots of work. That tractor is going to be very handy around your camp. I wish my neighbor had a front end loader....nice of him to help you out. Will be following your progress, thanks!
Erated78 thanks. Was a big job for sure. Can't wait to get it up there and start working lol. Yeah I defiantly have good neighbours. Have a great night. 🙂
Awesome! I have the about the same, '64 gas, everything else the same. Mine is in pretty rough shape paint wise and no stickers, LOVE your restoration. Mechanically mines sound, I've done so much work with it. The front bucket isn't real fast, not like running a skidsteer or newer backhoe, pretty slow takes a little more time and work to get a full bucket load but it's strong. The hoe, super strong and quick almost too quick until you realize how to use it and slow it down, you'll get used to the controls and they are great, just use them all at the same time and a little slower, feet and hands, you can do some very precise digging with it and it'll dig deep and we have really crappy super rocky soil, it'll dig full depth and move big rocks and dirt like a excavator. I've used it to level land, works good back blading, put in septics, destroys tree stumps, it'll dig anything. I've used the hoe to sling load cars and trucks onto my dad's truck for scrap, sling with chains and pick up 2.5 tons dangling and gently set them on the back of his truck bet it could do more. I came close to buying a kubota bx24 for $18,500, found the case 530 on craigslist for $5grand US, I could toss the kubota with either bucket like a donut, and I bet the old girl it will last longer Lol!
Good for you, looking good. I have a 530 CK gas model and it has done a huge amount of work for me. -Certainly paid for itself. I change at least one hose a year because it was a high time machine when I got it. One point of info: it wasn't charging so I removed the regulator (not easy. back of the panel) and it looked like a chunk of rust. OPened it up and it looked like new inside.. Painted the cover, put a new ground on and voila, charges again.
Off Grid Homesteader Cecil E Skinner thank you very much. Been lots of hard work to get it there but I think it should work out good for us. Happy anniversary from Lori and I. Have a great evening my friend. Talk to you soon. 🙂
Bob Joncas thank you. Yeah that's exactly what my wife said lol. I'm hoping it works out good for us after all the time spent lol. Have a great night. Ttyl. 🙂
the reason why I bought the backhoe is because I live on a farm and I've got natural sand and BANK gravel banks on the farm that I want to dig out and use on the farm. and I just bought a good USED DUMP trk. to it's a 1973, FORD F-700 dump trk..🙏
Beyer Forestry, Welding, and Other Stuff thank you very much. I enjoy working on stuff like that plus I know the tractor inside and out lol. You have a great night Jeffrey. Ttyl. 🙂
Hi Marty, fantastic job on with your 530 CK.. I have a 1965 530 CK and the clutch stuck about 2 months ago and I have not been able to get it to free up. I have driven it around a lot, hit the brakes hard, put the bucket down to a near stall, sprayed 2 cans of brake cleaner through the access portal, and even coated it way a generous spray of wd40.....but still not luck. The clutch always worked fine and one day it was stuck, nothing odd occurred. Any ideas? Anyone?
bigdaddy 1992 thank you. We want to build a barn there and I will keep a place for it in there to keep it out of the weather. I never really thought of a name lol. I will have to think of something suiting. Have a great evening. Ttyl. 🙂
Hi MartyCame across your rebuild and really enjoyed it! Thanks I am also doing a similar project in Ca. on a 1966 530 CK hoe that had a seized engine. I have been working on it for a couple years and getting close to firing it up.It looks like you have a new formed air intake hose on the air intake oil bath--I checked with Case and they say it is not available anymore- Could you tell me where you purchased the hose? Thanks Roger
Hi Paul, I just got done rebuilding the rockford shuttle on my 580ck. They are pretty simple if you have the service manual. Got new parts for it from Dale at Tractorstuff. Send him an email and he'll help identify what you need. There's also a lot of info on the heavy equipment forum. Hope this helps
Question buddy. What are you running in the shuttle gear? It smells like gear oil but I want to be sure before I throw some 80-90 in her. Also do you fill the tranny through the bell housing? I don’t see a dipstick for it

It goes behind the power steering pump, if your sitting on it the right side. Distributors were prestolites with gm points, just rebuilt mine
