  • I took a gamble on a record I found in the exotica bin and it's kind of awesome and also...rather annoying to listen to.
What odd records have you bought and which ones do I need to add to my collection?

I like collecting oddball or unusual records too as part of my overall collection (classical, rock, surf, jazz, soundtracks, world music, etc.) and I even found one on how to learn Morse Code.
Plus, since my surname is Hammond, I've been scooping up various Hammond organ records with titles like 'The Happy Hammond' or 'Swingin' With Hammond', etc.
I also have quite a collection of exotica albums, stereo test records, and I collect record albums that have covers showing people playing records. :)

Awesome. There is an instructional record for learning how to type in the dollar bin at my local store that I’ll probably pick up this weekend. It has a really great cover design!

Cool content. I’ve kinda gotten to the point where I pass on exotica type records. Too many misses and they take up my limited storage space.

I have tons of flowers in my living room, and most of them grow towards the speakers, and not the window, so there is something about plants and music... 😁

I think the weirdest record I've ever found was a DJ sample record I got in a Goodwill that's just a bunch of loops set in locking grooves so you can play them on repeat for capturing/ripping on a DJ setup.

I passed on some of those at an estate sale one time. Kind of wish I picked up at least one ha.

Mort Garson is the one you gotta get. The album is amazing even if you don´t care about plants.

It’s a conversation piece. You don’t have to listen to it. But it’s a story.
