I listen to cds a lot and I think the sound is pretty good. I went to a thrift shop to drop off some donations and saw that they were selling cds for 10 pence each (around 15 US cents). Crazy.
That's awesome! Thanks for watching!
May I ask where are you located at??
Thrift stores here in Europe sell CDs for 0.50 euro cents each. It seems like everyone wants to get rid of their CDs lately. I often buy 50 or 60 great ones almost every week for ridiculously little money
That’s amazing!
Great video! Wish I had some record stores in my area.
Thank you!
Just found your channel - love it. I'm in the Memphis area and I'm jealous of the amount of CDs in that Nashville record store you visited.
Awesome. I haven’t been in Memphis in a minute but hope to get back there soon! Thanks for watching!
Love going on the search. Well done. Good luck to you.
Thank you!!!
Great pickups, love Bloodflowers album especially the title track
Thanks! I was excited to find it!
Good little haul on some cds love goin cd shopping its all about the hunt and seeing what you can find thats the exciting part.
Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Agreed as well, I like going to Savers in our area for CDs. Yard sales are also good….and local music stores. And what did you think of Faster Pussycat? I didn’t know anything about them until I saw them open for LA Guns and Keifer last year and then got into at least a few of their recordings…
I haven’t listed to the FP cd I found yet but will check it out for sure. I kind of recall one or two of their songs from years past but that’s all. Thanks for watching!
CDs are the way to go!!
I’m having fun picking them up when cheap lol!
Nice! lol you went to all the places 10 minutes from me. I haven’t been to them lately. I really wanted that dog butler statue at the antique store.
I keep expecting to run into you one of these days!
Love the vid!. There is nothing like having a great record store near me. I live right outside Princeton, NJ and go to the Princeton Record Exchange at least once a week. They have great inventory and high turnover.
I saw that store in another channel’s video and it looks awesome!
@@ForeverAnalog Yeah I have lived in the area most of my life so I have been going there since I was in High School.
I been driving to Princeton record exchange for years once every 3 weeks from NYC... great place ..
Thx God such stores still exist! But not at my place of living:(
Good video. Im going to get back into CD'S. No vinyl for me at this time, lol.
Awesome! I'm still buying records too but I'm having a lot of fun finding deals on CDs!
My local library won't even accept CDs and DVDs as donations. They haven't for years, which I found very short-sighted, but maybe it was due to trying to keep up with the right disc going into the sleeves and folders. Anyway, I've probably given away well over a hundred mostly classical music. I used to belong to one of those 'record clubs'. Then I found a local charity books store and they were happy to take them. This is just a long-winded post to say it's nice to see CDs (and DVDs) being valued again and not treated like non-recyclable trash.
CDs were so important for classical music. My classical LPs are all too noisy in the quiet parts no matter much I clean them!
All local libraries here in Antwerp, Belgium have sold out their entire CD collection at the end of 2023 for 0.20 euro cents each.
I love that daft punk album, nice find!
Thank you!
Part of me misses rifling through stacks of CD’s, collecting millions of foreign bacteria on my fingers, and settling for the best handful of albums available from the used section, but honestly, I’ll take Discogs, eBay & Amazon for my music needs now. I get whatever my heart desires, and it’s almost always in excellent condition. The Modest Mouse CD was your best find of the day.
Thanks for sharing and for watching!
I lived in the Boro for a bit, love Great Escape!
Awesome!
Where do you get all your storage racks for cds, casettes, and vinyls? Looking to start collecting them and selling on the way but atm its hard to store them organized. Scouring fb marketplace atm. Booth is sweet.
I find a lot on FB and garage sales or thrift stores! Thanks for watching!
Great finds! I have to drive 20 minutes to get to my favorite Record Store - Mad Monks aka Rasputin Records. Very well known in the SF Bay Area, but thankfully, I'm 70 miles east.
My thrifts are extremely cheap here. I get most Media from 1 for a quarter, and 2 quarters at another. I've grown my CD Collection by a few thousand in the past few years.
Oh! I'm gonna Sub ya!
Awesome! Thank you. I'm doing a live stream tomorrow showing some more CD bargains I found last weekend if you're around to watch. I'll post it for regular viewing afterwards!
I go hunting nearly every day. I collect but also resell much cheaper than some of those you found for $5 and up on ebay with cheap shipping....but it's fun to hunt. Faster Pussycat was a good find
Awesome. Whats your eBay store?
@@ForeverAnalog Jetset-Music
At a local Volunteers of America store I saw Joshua Tree by U2 for just $1.10 I didn't buy it but thought they were practically giving it away.
Yeah I see a lot of U2 in the wild lol
Im trying to grow my cd collection and where do i get them like what stores in the indiana area?
I visit thrift stores, record stores, antique malls, bookstores etc. I strike out most of the time but the journey is part of the fun for me.
@@ForeverAnalog ok ima go to Barnes and nobles for it sometimes this week
Why not the Sunnyboys?
Let's go!
Thanks for tagging along!
Wow, so that’s how you get such good CDs.
😢no stereo anymore..Just collecting discs and cassettes now. Trouble is there is alot that i cant find anymore.Main offenders:: Henry Gross. Plug me into something. Mr Big. Photographic smile. Paice,Ashton Lord Malice in Wonderland. Bill Wyman. Monkey Grip. Much of the Spocks Beard and Pat Benatar also..
I do have one question. Should I be keeping the jewel case? The normally taken out and put him in a book c d book And throw away the jewelry case
Up to you - nothing wrong with a CD book! You can always buy cases again down the road if you want to store differently.
I ❤buying CDs. Used and New.... CDs rule .
Same. Thanks for watching!
Yeah I’m sure no one is interested in that Motley Crue, they’ve only sold over 100 million CDs worldwide, more than pretty much all the bands you just showed, combined. Lol
Also, that Faster Pussycar album, Whipped, is the shit! 🤘🏼
Cheap Thrills, Montreal. Been going there since 1974.
Awesome!
Next time I am in Manchester, My mom and I will have to visit your booth as we usually do a day thirfting
Awesome! I love hitting up stores around Manchester as well
@@ForeverAnalog I grew up in Manchester. moved away to where I am now back in 2013 due to job. I really do not go into goodwill anymore due to their practices. as of late.
enjoyed the video... lol your comment " its to sunny to over analyze a piece of audio gear". I am watching your video as i am currently over analyzing which RCA interconnect i am going to buy between my cd player and intergrated amp
It can be easy to overthink it. I usually figure out an issue with gear while sitting in Nashville traffic lol. Thanks for watching!
Why did you not Bought the Nickelback CD?
Hahahhahahah
What is the appeal of CDs with high-fidelity streaming available? Other than for internet outages. I still have a few CDs but I'm more into vinyl. I get that CDs are far cheaper than most records but I'm struggling to get on the CD train.
Great question! First, this is all personal preference and to me, there isn't one perfect way to consume music be it vinyl, streaming, cd, cassette, etc. I just love shopping for physical media and I find it hard to determine what I want to listen to while streaming at home. I still use streaming in my car and find it wonderful and I also use it to learn about new artists as well. But there are days when I just want to dig around in an old school record store and buy some physical media!
are you buying all this to sell at show??
Some I sell and others I keep for my collection 😊
I love me some cheap physical media.
agreed!
Forever digital for me 💿😆👍
CDs are not worth anything today, sad.
That's true for a lot of CDs, but there are still some releases only available on CD that fetch big money!
