This is a great video. I wish it had seen it while i was starting as a tech. Really valuable information of covering the basics and troubleshooting. Specialy since cars with this type of fuel system the air filter needs to be clean and cant tell you all the times at first my butt was beat because of a dirty filter when i was starting troubleshooting. Cant wait for the rest. Of the sensors and if you can do another series about DTC criteria it really helps out to understand what test the computer uses to throw codes. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
Thanks! I also got bit before with a dirty filter, so now I remember to always check them before digging in too far LOL. I like the idea about DTC criteria for the codes. I might dig into that a bit. Thanks for the input! Have a great weekend!
I have a ? For ya. What would cause my ect on my live data to randomly jump fr9m 170 to -36 and then back to 170. Just does it for a frame randomly. I am having all sorts of weird readings. My mph will show 60 and then for a frame it will say 05 then the next frame it will be back to 60. I have live data with my truck idling and with it driving. I tried 2 different code readers. Reader 1 was a cheap Chinese thing and the 2nd reader was a innova 5610. I made sure the innova was updated also. Long story short I am getting terrible gas milage, and every tank it gets worse. I replaced maf, map, fuel pressure regulator, pcv and hose, Terminal Canister Purge Valve/Solenoid. And i smoked tested it and replaced a few vacuum lines that had small leaks. I also replaced the 02 sensors.
Thanks for the input! This was my first video of this type and I probably got a little carried away with the animation. Will keep that in mind for the next video. Have a great rest of the day!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
@@obdnerdz The Channel is fantastic , well done.
Would a dirty or faulty MAF cause a P0296 code? It's a lean bank 1 down from the cat
Long-term fuel trim is at 15 - and short is at 0 what's going on
Drawing is SO DISTRACTING making the video hard to listen to.

@@obdnerdz I think the visuals and pictures help understand the concepts and informations.
@@leoluna4116 I agree with you.
