I believe Charlie Never forgave himself for not telling his Council that," they could do as they wished but He / I'm continuing on to London " Imo his commander's and willing troops would have had little choice but Perhaps it just never occurred to H R H once the decision had been made at Exeter House Derby .
I'm excited to hear who will be commanding the French. Will it be the Maréchal de Saxe himself to deel once for all time with the British to defeat them and change the outcome of the WAS?
I've found this recently and it's very enjoyable, a few dodgy command decisions on the Government Team aside😂. Anyhow, i'd be interested to see what is happening back in Scotland at this point. Two of the forts in the great glen are still in government hands I believe. Likewise, there are a number of pro Hanoverian clans in the Northeast, not to mention Argyll's Campbells and MacLeod of Dunvegan in the west. Thearlaich Boy is off with the best (most loyal) of his Scottish clans and regiments on a win or bust mission to gain his English throne but does he still have the manpower left in the north to hold down his Scottish one? Should we watch this space for developments there?
We've had a few people asking, so we will make the campaign rules available as a pdf after its over (we don't want the mechanics to influence the decision making whilst it's still running)
We have kept naval mechanics fairly simple in the campaign, but we do have rolls at key moments to determine whether naval contact is made. It hasn't happened yet - mainly because the British had to loosen the French blockade to transport/escort the forces of Cumberland and Hesse-Kassel at the very moment the French moved. That was the trade-off the British commanders made.
Excellent. Thank you very much.
A stirring narrative of the unfolding campaign! You really have me hooked with this series.
Love it so far. Didn’t think the jacobites had much of a chance but the French intervention is a game changer !
I suspect much will now ride on whether the French and Jacobites can synch their movements to avoid having to fight separately.
Wonderful! Simply wonderful
Great stuff! Making me get my Jacobites cleaned up and added to for a coming campaign! Keep up the good work!
The great narration continues, and I like how this piece developed, congrats!😎👍
This is a fantastic series. Thank you so much for staging and sharing- fan in NZ

Good questions! I'm just working on the latest update so I'll add a summary of the situation back in Scotland
Is there a chance of getting a copy of the campaign rules?

Why no naval battles?
